4:04 "For those of you who have multiple tanks, like me, which is probably most of you watching this." Me, with no tanks, ponds, or fish in general: "Ah! Yes. Me and all my," **looks at smudged writing on hand** "tenks."
I only have 2 tanks a 10 gallon with a few tropical fish in it and a 3 gallon with literally 1 ghost shrimp in it I’m hoping to get more colorful shrimp soon though
Agreed, that would look cool! I have always wanted to do one of these ponds, i also live in FL like Jennie. This gave me a new admiration for mollies! I wish i had a screen porch :(
It's interesting to see a familiar fish literally from a new perspective when you add them to a pond. I didn't think mollies could look so elegant but I agree, they look like tiny goldfish when viewed from above. 😊
guinea pigs and kitties should try it out at least, I started because my mom had had a fish way back, a black moor if I remember the story right, when her and younger sister moved into their first apartment, later when I was 7 or 8 she set up a small aquarium in me and my sister's room, later on at when I was about 12 she set up a 29 gallon in the living room. All this and those aquariums didn't stay set up after moves etc., I did use that 29 gallon though later on, in high school. I have done south and central American cichlids, every catfish I could find, a few African cichlids, some salt, a little reef, but a hell of a lot of goldfish (like I have right now) over the years, by the way I'm now 46, and have been keeping my own fish since I was around 11, my mom never really had more than the aquariums I talked about above, but she really did like the aquariums I had way back in high school.
At least I think she did, maybe she really didn't like all the water change buckets and filter sound, frozen and live food in the refrigerator, well at least she never complained about it anyway.
I don't own any currently either. But I always joke to my husband that's what I will do after I retire to keep me busy. 😂 I just don't have time for it with 2 going on 3 little ones to chase around all day.
Joseph LaBranch no don't get me wrong I would love to own fish but I just don't have the time or money for it right now. I did have aquariums in the past with neon tetras and Angel fish and barbs.
I absolutely love your videos and you have inspired me I now have 3 goldfish tanks and 2 Betta fish 😃😃 thank you for all of your help and advice on how to properly take care of fish
I love mollies. I am raising about 30 fry right now of white mollies an they have such a personality. Whenever I sit down at my desk, they all come up to me to say hi. I always recommend mollies to beginners who want goldfish, because most customers just want a few gallons, and not the larger tanks it takes to hold multiple goldfish.
I love Dalmatian mollies. My mother just got some Dalmatian lyrtail mollies they are gorgeous and will be making an appearance in one of my next videos
I think you should produce a coloring book on Gold Fish. With the fishes that you like in Differant plants , rocks, wood and other decorations as well. with discriptions . So sorry for the missed spellings. I love to color and I am not the only one who would buy your coloring books. Much Love ,Terri Simmers
Turn the pots every week a little, in a few weeks there are beautiful leaves on every side. I don't wanna be negative but you r feeding very generous, that makes alge and bluealge( bacteria) Love your channel, always peacefull and as positive as it can get.✌🏻️from theNetherlands
I love Dalmation mollies, they were the first fish i ever kept. So neat and they have very interesting personalities and behaviors. I wouldn't be surprised if they turn a lot darker while in the pond, they tend to acclimate their colors to their environment. I had that with mine, bought them almost all white and they ended up completely black because of my black substrate. So interesting! Good choices :)
I keep balloon and sleek mollies. Balloons are only a bit more delicate when it comes to breeding, in my experience. They're great fish with great personalities. You'll love them!
Love your channel and videos. New to keeping fish so don't know anything at all. But thank you for informing me of how to keep goldfish. Amazing pond. Love sent from the UK. Xxxx
I've always wanted a patio planter pond, but I live in Ohio. It would be kind of hard to work around the weather.....I love how you put yours together. It looks wonderful. I can't believe in just a few weeks, that the plants have grown so much. Also I've never been a big fish person, but those mollies are so cute. I could see myself enjoying them, talking to them......Any pets I get becomes my babies.....You done wonders with your yard pond too......I love it.
So interesting! I'm also in FL and just set up an outdoor mini pond similar in idea to yours. Mine has guppies and I just came back from my lfs and was looking at mollies. You just sold me on the idea! Only difference is I set mine up outside... it's doing great! Love your videos.
Omg same Jennie! I got 1 ballon and now I have 10! One of my females had 58 fry then another had 13 the day after. A week after that, my guppy gave birth! I’m over run by fry atm. My favorite out of mine is my sweet Gertrude. She the smallest must most human interactive and waits for me to come home just to beg for food. I love the balloon with the black spots!
Thanks for introducing me to another kind of fish. I've wanted goldish for a while now but just don't have the space. Balloon mollies seem like a good alternative.
When I brought home my orange cream mollies I had babies less than 12 hours after! Maybe look into getting freshwater puffers when those snails get out of hand they love eating them and they are super cute!
I love mollies! I have a group of about 15 that I saved from a big group of babies (30+) that originally came from a group of 3! Lovely little guys. Although every dalmation I've had does darken up
Great job! Looks beautiful. Here's a nice little tip; you can place a plastic ring that floats on the surface of the water during feedings. Use it to drop the fish food in so that the food doesn't go all over the place. The fish will come to the ring to feed. I'm currently creating an indoor pond myself. Using a very large and beautiful Chinese porcelain potter. Was wondering, how do you heat your indoor pond? Any advice will be appreciated.
My favourite molly is the male balloon lyretail one! Very pretty mollies! I think you've just given me an idea as to what to put in my 75L sometime down the track... (; I love your videos Jennie keep it up, the bowl pond is looking awesome!
Hey Anthony I have Mollies and guppies as well as various other fish in my community tank although I don't breed them specifically they have spawned in the tank multiple times :) Fallon will have more advice than me but because I don't breed specifically and i let nature take course within the tank (if they get eaten they get eaten as I don't want to be over run with mollies) I have noticed the more plants and places to hide the more babies survive they are very clever in that sense
If you spin your plant pots a quarter way round once a week they'll chase the sun and eventually straighten back up. You might have to leave them a bit longer than a week for a start since it'll take time to get them where you want them. I've been doing this for years with all my plants, just make sure you spin the same direction every week, it stops the leaves really fully facing the window so you can enjoy them more :) don't be tempted to turn them the whole half way round or they'll wonder where the sun has gone! haha
I ha balloon mollies for 2 years in a planted tank, had soooooooo many babies to start but eventually you get inbreeding and deformities, and with each litter the female tends to become weaker and my males would pick favourites and stress them to death. There wound up being a constant string of deaths despite perfect water parameters. I hope you have a better experience with them than I did! I also like that they were similar to goldfish. They had great personality, the establish pecking orders and social hierarchy that I found so entertaining haha
Ramshorn snails! I love them and have them in all my tanks. They have never been a problem for me despite all the horror stories you read and are beneficial in a lot of ways I think! You're going to have a lot of Mollys!
I have a pair of black mollies! They are fun indeed! Getting a bigger tank within 3 week for my goldies, sooo excited! And next week looking for some new plants for both tanks :) your mollies are adorable! And the babies too!
4:04 "For those of you who have multiple tanks, like me, which is probably most of you watching this."
Me, with no tanks, ponds, or fish in general: "Ah! Yes. Me and all my," **looks at smudged writing on hand** "tenks."
Rachel M. Meeee lol I love fish but don't have the means to get any/take care of them
I only have 2 tanks a 10 gallon with a few tropical fish in it and a 3 gallon with literally 1 ghost shrimp in it I’m hoping to get more colorful shrimp soon though
Maybe you can get ur hand on some white mollies to add to the mix. They would stand out quite a bit
Creative Pet Keeping seconded!!!
Creative Pet Keeping ya true
I have a silver and she's so spunky! Love her :) I also got a gold dusted marble a little over 3 weeks ago so I was really excited for this reveal!
Creative Pet Keeping hi
Agreed, that would look cool! I have always wanted to do one of these ponds, i also live in FL like Jennie. This gave me a new admiration for mollies! I wish i had a screen porch :(
Mollies make SO MANY BABIES
And unlike goldfish the Mollies won't demolish your plants!!😀
Wow now I know that Balloon Molly is so beautiful and great for small tank, Thank you so much for your video
Who else found it satisfying when she put the food in the pond😍😍🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠
I have a 65 community, and it’s all balloon molies! They do absolutely amazing and I get babies every few months.

It's interesting to see a familiar fish literally from a new perspective when you add them to a pond. I didn't think mollies could look so elegant but I agree, they look like tiny goldfish when viewed from above. 😊
The orange and black ones are the cutest 😍
I don't own any fish and don't plan to but I enjoy watching your videos.

Lovely Mollies! Ramshorn snails are great, they don't overrun my tank personally, and they won't hurt the plants
Sweet I used to raise them for the the fish places around my town when I was a kid
I love your vedios so much thank you for showing me all the differing kinds of gold fish.
I absolutely love your videos and you have inspired me I now have 3 goldfish tanks and 2 Betta fish 😃😃 thank you for all of your help and advice on how to properly take care of fish

You can install a spotlight above or something for the plants
I love the male balloon molly! His dorsal fin sticks up so high like a sail. He also has that really pretty orange colour to him.
Balloon molly are some of my favorite fish. Your pond is incredible, beautifully done.
So interesting! I'm also in FL and just set up an outdoor mini pond similar in idea to yours. Mine has guppies and I just came back from my lfs and was looking at mollies. You just sold me on the idea! Only difference is I set mine up outside... it's doing great! Love your videos.

Hi! Looks beautiful! Your waterlily leaves don’t like to get splashed. I will probably bloom if the leaves can dry a bit
I 💖 the Balloon Mollies.....cute.
Mollies give birth every month for 6 months after there last encounter with a male. Ratio is 1 male to 2 females at least. I breed them for profit😁
Fallon And her animals will they breed while I have guppies in my tank?
Hey Anthony I have Mollies and guppies as well as various other fish in my community tank although I don't breed them specifically they have spawned in the tank multiple times :) Fallon will have more advice than me but because I don't breed specifically and i let nature take course within the tank (if they get eaten they get eaten as I don't want to be over run with mollies) I have noticed the more plants and places to hide the more babies survive they are very clever in that sense

I love the Dalmation Mollies in a tank environment but the black and golds are nicer in the pond
The pond is doing so well and it looks like it’s a great set up to keep fish happy! :)
