Whenever I need units I just farm sentinel ships. It does take some setup but once you get there you can make hundreds of millions in less than an hour and dissonant systems are everywhere. Surprised it wasn't mentioned.

I started doing this last night and went from 102 million units to just under 400 million. Definitely a nice unit farm 👌🏻

Two things to add to the early game so salvage. One, if to summon the anomaly, you can summon a unrepaired claimed ship to the anomaly and it automatically fixes it enough to fly it to the station to scrap. And two, each salvaged ship also has a chance at giving you storage augments to save for the ship you actually want to use. Nice guide!

To expand on trading routes, you can essentially chain locations. Set up to 10 or more systems, where you use the profits to buy up all you can, then move onto the next system that will buy the goods you just bought at a profit.
A neat thing to do with your chain is to set up the last system's goods to match what the first system buys. So if the chain is long enough, when you loop back, the trade goods should have been fully re-stocked.
Personally, I kept it one complete run that could easily provide me with over 100 million units.
I'd stop doing the trade run once I got over 300 million unit. This is more enough to buy a capital ship (S Class) that stays with me for the rest of my playthrough.
Lastly, when setting up the chain, take advantage of exosuit expansion slots on offer thar the game gives you whenever you enter a new system. One at the space station and one at the Anomaly. The profits you make, more than cover the expense of adding two more slots to your exosuit.
Sadly, the game doesn't have a way to track your chain, so you should manually record the systems on paper or whatever medium you prefer.

Easiest way to make tons of money: Scanning. Just get 3 gold scanner upgrades (like 2000 nanites max) and keep scanning on any planet. With rare fauna you get like 500k per scan. Do that on every planet and you will soon have millions of units. Much easier and quicker than hunting for containers or artifacts ;)

the fact u only mention "much easier and quicker than hunter for containers or artifacts" tells me u either didnt watch the whole video, or you posted this before watching the whole video.

@@mitchelleft7248 I have seen the whole video. I still see my statement fit. Anything in particular you think i missed? Maybe to rephrase my statement nonetheless: To me NMS is about exploring. So scanning comes naturally with that task. If you make money out of that you actually dont do anything additionally to make money. Thats why i believe it is the eaisest way. If your NMS experience is about something else i can understand that this statement may be incorrect. That is the nice thing about NMS though: It is totally up to you what you do. There are many ways to make money.

I like using the refiners to make units, you just add oxygen and chlorine together in a medium or large refiner, it's 2 chlorine + 1 oxygen = 6 chlorine, which if I remember correctly, sells for 604 units each or roughly 6 million units per stack. Oxygen combines with other resources as well for instants, oxygen + uranium = gamma root, oxygen + dioxite = frost crystals and so on. Plus you can use your refiners for other things as well, combining chromatic metal with indium produces more indium, this works with the other stellar metals as well but not with the activated metals.

The moment I'm out driving is the moment you put up a new vid? God damn you!
Perfect timing as I'm doing NMS when I get home anyways so thank you for giving me something to watch!
Can't wait to catch you live again!

If you manage to find a trade terminal that's selling navigation data in bulk, build a base there. Buy all the nav data, go to a space station, trade them at the station cartographer for exosuit upgrade charts, sell the charts to NPC pilots for an instant and effortless 40x return on investment.

    gold is 353 units
    silver is 186
platinum is 505 and 1 gold and 1 silver refine 1:1 to 1 Platinum
Which means you spend 353+186=539 worth of Gold and Silver to get 505 worth of Platinum. Not to mention you need to set up TWO farms AND refine them into Platinum only get to get LESS money for your effort. Until NMS fixes this and makes Gold and Silver to refine into 1:2 Platinum, I'd rather just farm and sell Gold instead. You should do the same

When salvaging & selling crashed ships, do not repair the shield. Instead, save those resources, get back in your original ship (or whatever ship you found the crashed ship in), & then fly to the space station. When you get there, you can summon the crashed ship, so long as you did the first 2 repairs (shield is the 3rd), & dismantle it & sell the scrap.

I used my ship and jumped from storm crystals to storm crystals. I would collect on average 30 crystals per storm. A storm lasts about 10-15 min. I would wait another 15 min for the next storm. Rinse repeat. I would make 30 mil in about an hour and half or more. This was my early to mid game money maker. I later would just horde material to craft the most expensive items 100 at a time. Its a lot of work but the pay off is Billions. I have about 10B in my wallet. It's very easy to get rich in this game.

    • @Only_Some
      @Only_Some 8 дней назад

125k-500k per scan per tree or creature is much faster. i can make 2 million easy in under a min. and i dont have to wait for random storms. this works on any planet with the flora and fauna.
you just need scanner upgrades.. its better to upgrade the scanner for more units over your suit for storms 1-10 planets have storm crystals vs ability to scan on 99% of the planets besides empty/dead.... ill go with scanning. my account already has max units... i think my experience says it all

Storm duration is variable by planet, so getting a full 15 minutes of farming isn't guaranteed.

in 1500+ hours of playtime I have yet to find an activated planet without storm crystals...but some planets might have regions where they're not...same with things like salvage containers, natural burial sites etc

So idk if my game was bugged or what, but the first planet i came to that i found salvage containers; once i got down to the final part of it to destroy it would go down to just a sliver of "health" left and would no longer take any more damage. I tried several other salvage containers, but on the same planet and had the same issue. I ended up giving up on them after that

Step 1 go to the nexus.
    Step 2 walk around
    Step 3.......?
Step 4 sell ship AI valves for hundreds of millions.
Not sure what happens during Step 3. Something something underwear gnomes probably.

I'm very new to the game and saw that people can be quite giving in the Anomaly. Hung out near the Nexus a few times and now I've (still got) nearly half a billion credits after TONS of buying and upgrading of things. Can't remember what I was given but yeah it was like 1.2 Billion worth of units. Plus someone else gave me 50 Mining-Tool Slot upgrades. Crazy. Another gave me ship parts.
