I just finished building not just my first quar model, but my first model in general. I just have to paint it but im so glad this channel showed me Quar and a door into a hobby I always wanted to try, but didn't wanna give GW my pancreas for like 15 dudes
Remember mate, this hobby isn't just games workshop Buy from any other company, they sell their models cheaply compared to GW Or use third person to buy Warhammer if you want to (ebay or any other online store) but never buy straight from GW store
Finished my starter box, just got in my Chyweethl, torpedo troops, officers for Crofty and Crusaders, going to work on them next! Your videos are super motivating. Love them to bits, excited to see you pump out more Quar! Gonna get my Crusaders a tonk sooner or later.
THAT'S A SQUIRREL!? I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT TO BE A HALBERD AND NEVER GAVE IT MUCH OF A THOUGHT.. "yeah a halberd because they are crusaders...makes sense"
Will we get to see similar videos for some of the different quar units like the trench raiders and anti tractor teams? Would love to hear you chat about the different units
so in the news update email for friday the 22nd of november 2024, WGA teased an image that weas a cropped picture of a 3D render of one fo these tanks. suggesting that the Ailthean tractor is coming as a plastic kit at some point in the future. i wouldn't expect it till late 2025 though, going by previous teasers to release timing.
Lovely video as always, i think i have watched every quar video you have made so far! I was wondering about homebrew though. Whats this games excuse for homebrewing? Like in warhammer you just say the imperium is so big and thats why you havent heard of the regiment. The quar world doesnt seem to give a lore reason for homebrew.
I read somewhere in the rulebook that the idea is, the war is so big that individual squads might act very different from other squads in their faction, and may even grow to have different ideals. It's difficult for any faction to keep track of everything, because they're always fighting on every front.
@@Cadiastand-upcomedy Yes! There are quite a few principalities and city states across the various nations. Coftyr for instance has dozens of principalities each with its own royalty, traditions, heraldry, and uniforms.
@@Cadiastand-upcomedy I know that I'm personally going to make a guerilla squad of Creevish Quar when that faction gets released in 28mm. They're my favorite group and since they're constantly at war with everyone, I like the idea of a squad of old veterans who have built up a sort of 'trophy collecting' vibe to them.
IRL, during WWI, they were called tanks to make them sound more innocent than they actually were, like a water tank. Quar calling them tractors is a really cool alternate version of that idea.
That tea anecdote reminds me of the fact that all british tanks are equipped with boilers specifically so the crew can enjoy a cuppa.
And so they dont have to get out of the tank and be vulnerable to enemy fire while in a danger zone
it's funny how that wasn't the only purpose for it but that's what everyone takes away from it
@@Cyberboi Pray tell, what else could a boiler be used for?
Was it just a Fancy Raditor you could Draw water form?
@@thebohemian814 actual military rations that require hot water, engine maintenance, a radiator, bathing, the list goes on
I love that this thing looks like you could make an accurate real-life replica of it off of an excavator
I, for one, can’t wait for the 3 hour documentary on the Iron Houses of Western Arnyara.
billions must play Quar
When you're in a trench and eating a moff cake and hear distant tractor noises

Looks like a proper war machine. I really like the aesthetics of the Quar world. Can't wait to see the other tractors in particular.
Honestly the silly tanks are the best part of Quar for me.
My 15mm order FINALLY arrived. Been putting off painting them.
Quar are round. This tank isn't round. So it isn't a 100% match, but Quarish enough.
Seeing the "Contrast" go on over the pre-shade was so satisfying.

I could see some quar units using scavenging gear from the battlefield and reinforcing their Tractors with bits of fallen ones

I still kinda don't like quar but it's fun watching you mod/paint em
Is there any plans for them to sell Tractors for 28mm?
I know you can get 3d models, but I don't think any of my friends have a printer big enough. 😅
zombiesmith.com!
The tractors are actually quite small and can fit into most of the smaller resin printers no problem. Most of them are a little longer than my thumb
Mmmm...exclusive rolls...arghhh¡!!

@@mitwhitgaming7722 They were called tractors until the British listed them as water tanks on shipping manifests to sneak them across the channel.
