have you ever considered doing teardowns and reviews on new reels, and giving your opinions on what to buy? I would guess you have seen it all, and would have a good idea about which features, and materials are good, and which ones break down. There seems to be a gap in the market so to speak... and I would definitely love to hear your thoughts and recommendations on various products. Cheers from Canada!
Cheers! I have seen many things, but I'm far from an engineer. The truth is, I like A LOT reels.... even the inexpensive ones. You can search for tackle advisors here on RUclips.... he used to do this..... not sure if he still does. Maybe, I'll start a series on that one day
@@TSGReelService I thought you might get your bearings from Boca bearings. I wish the reel manufacturers had a system for ordering reel parts online instead of calling to speak with someone to order parts.
Looks like the worm shaft and lack of a seal bearing is the weak link in this design. Always disappointing to see crusty bearings in an area that receives routine water intrusion. Also, IMO too many small parts for a reel used in salt water.
Thanks for watching and your input. It's difficult addressing one issue, because, sometimes, you create 3 more. I agree regarding the small parts thingy. 🙂

Another interesting reel in a strange condition. Thanks, good job as always.
Thanks Steve! Yeah, although it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be
Great video. What grease are you using for the main body? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for checking out the video! I generally use Penn Precision Grease.
Good job on that reel!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🐟🐟🐟
Thanks brother!
What are the details on all of the screwdrivers you are using? I need to replace my rotor (cracked)
It's a 0.9 hex.
Just curious, who do you buy your bearings from?
Thanks for checking out the video. The distributor.

Not unless a customer specifically wants Boca.
