Demidov or Liindstrom ? That is a question habs did not have to ask themself because the question was answered by Don Waddell and the Columbus Blue Jackets who picked the 6'3" Cayden Lindstrom ! They choose size over pure offensive talent.

@@michaelmorris3239 Demidov is a line driver, he's playing chess move ahead of everyone else. Bedard, Crosby, intelligence. He will instantly make everyone around him better. Michkov is a cherry picker like Kovalchuk was in his starting years . Demidov isn't. Demidov is as good at defence, stealing pucks. Michkov dosen't understand that notion. Will Michkov humble himself like Kovalchuk did? I don't think so. Philadelphia has a place called little russia and with michkov tied often with gangsters and Mafia i'm glad we didn't took him. Michkov talent is undeniable he is a clutch performer, but no where close what Demidov can bring in the three zones. Demidov is too a clutch performer. Shades of Patrick Kane/Kucherov. Michkov is more Kovalchuk but without the speed. so a great shot.

Lindstrom was always a no-go; plenty of insiders confirmed that if he was available at #4, Columbus would take him. He was their man for months. So the dual questions were: 1) what would Anaheim do?; and 2) would Hughes take Demidov over Iginla (who we all knew was a player the team was EXTREMELY interested in)? Anaheim went off the board, and that's fine. Maybe the pick pays off for them, although I cannot imagine a world in which Sennecke outperforms Demidov. As for the Iginla vs. Demidov debate, I think both are top-line talents, at minimum, in the NHL. Demidov is the playmaker, Iginla is the shooter; but I do think Demidov's ceiling is quite a bit higher than Iginla's. So for me, while I _really_ wanted Tij, with Demidov on the board at #5, there's no way I would pass him over.

    • @FrançoisRacicot-u4d

Demidov or Iginla, I think you can’t go wrong with either of them.
I tend to believe that Iginla might be more valuable during playoffs but, for sur, Demidov will spectacular to watch.

@@thehitstorychannel True ! Demidov throw a wrench in Habs plans but when a top line talent shows up ! You pick him ! Caulfield might end up on the second line when Demidov hit full speed ahead. That is not a bad thing as it seems .
