One thing I'm finding with this one is that the fuel "pump" is giving me fits. It's vacuum operated. The carb itself has been great, I'm currently chasing an annoying vacuum leak that gives me drivability issues. Just something to put on your radar as a possible source if a thorough rebuild still leaves something on the table. Going through the carb is never a bad idea!
That one needs to be done slowly and make sure it's square. That little boss is too easy to cross thread. Mine shows signs of the top threads getting creamed..
It's an absolute pain. The lip either rolls inward and won't go around the carb or feels like it's not long enough. My solution is that when things are just not lining up, loosen the parts to allow for some wiggle room, connect the parts, and then tighten it all back down.

Man i have trouble connecting the airbox to my carb its like the airbox is too short.
