It has been a workhorse, but in today’s world I need to upgrade to a MacBook Air so therefore, I’m entering your contest, I would love to be chosen for a new computer. I have done the research on both the larger iPad Pro versus the MacBook Air. For my needs I think the Air is the best way to go. You are a great informer on these new products and I’ve been an Apple Person since 1990. You couldn’t get me to own a PC!
Not bad going for the 2009 MacBook, although I have to disagree with you about the comment above out PCs, nowadays Windows laptops have chips that even the new M3 chips can't match and they are only going to get faster, it depends on the use case. A 5k laptop would wipe the floor with an equivelant M3 MacBook with triple the memory, storage, display resolution etc. Apple is just more convenient. I hope you win the prize though. :)
They need this in an iPad Mini. I’ve heard about this possibly in 2026, but man as a pilot let me tell you OLED helps, a lot. It gets very bright up there and devices can get very hot. When I’m flying on a warm, sunny day and I have my flight app running I get about 2 hours before needing to recharge, and not all planes have sockets. A cooler, brighter screen that doesn’t wear down on the battery or processor would be wonderful.
Apple Vision Pro pre-ordered on Friday 1/19/24 - ordered extra battery for $200 - now waiting anxiously for delivery 2/2/24. Most I have spent for an Apple device: $4,000 !
I have a 2nd generation Ipad 2 (64 GB) since it first came out , I need to upgrade, cus is out of space, I'm up grading to the new IPad Pro. To hold all my audio books, plus I want to draw on it.
It's nice, you get to choose the amount of RAM... which is pointless for the iPadOS, and it does exactly the same stuff my 2019 iPad Pro does... with the exception of video processing, which I would never want to do on an ipad anyway...

I am still using my old 2018 ipad pro 11" Figured it is finally time to update this year with a new design. Going to buy the 13" ipad pro and if they make a new magic keyboard I will most likely go for that as well.
I actually am looking to get a MacBook air this year to help with my medical studies. The specs you mentioned will be ideal for me to get my studies done especially with digital render of Human Anatomy apps available right now
Hello! I have a MacBook Pro from 2015. It’s getting old and would love to try the MBA. Having said that, I’m most interested in the new line iPad Pro coming out soon. It will be my productivity device for school: it will replace writing notes on paper and I’ll do HW, papers, etc for school. My MacBook Pro will be replaced by either the MBA(if I win) or a dual screen setup with Mac’s desktop line.
Hey Matt, I'm a 16 year old high school student from Nepal studying Computer Science. The laptop that I'm currently using is an old HP laptop with 4 gb of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It can't handle even simple web designing with HTML,CSS AND JS. Because of financial constraints, I cannot be able to buy a new laptop so i'd really appreciate if I can get the M2 Macbook Air. My iPad is a 12.9” with the last generation of pre M1 chips, while it runs fine, I hope to upgrade to a M3 iPad Pro after the release. After that an upgrade on my phone is next as it is a 14 but will wait for the 16 for this one as I always skip a generation.
