This car blows all the tri 5 Chevy’s away. Late 50’s and Early 60’s Mopars are something you don’t see or find at cars shows. With this car… you are special
Brings back a lot of memories. I owned a Flame Red convertible version of this same car with the 318 from '59-'67. All but one of the many restorations I've seen, like this one, lack the real windshield these cars had. It had a slight greenish tint and curved vertically as well as horizontally, especially near the roofline. It must have cost a lot to produce and really had a futuristic bubble look. I've seen them on some restored DeSotos of the day and, as I said, one Fury.. Oh yes--I paid slightly over $3000 for the car in May 1959.
Thanks, yes. My Parents had the 1959:DODGE Coronet/ 9 PASS (* rear Face seat)Wagon / loaded exc. Air COND: me Driving 1961-3 a lot , getting License , until Dad found a CUSTomised 1954/FORD 2DR/57;289ENGINE//4/BBL,ETC . for me.(** oddly , have no idea which big V8:in Coronet?? )…….
I bet this car has swivel bucket seats. Swivel to let passengers out easily. My parents had a station wagon 59 Plymouth with swivel buckets back in 1959!

IMO one of the most beautiful cars ever.

Looks like a charm. Rust color is fine. Imagine what it was like to drive it home brand new. Good enough for Mr. Cleaver.
"Forward Look" in action!
Awesome!
Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't that be a 318 Cubic Inch?
59 Sport Fury never looked so good.
Too bad it didn't have the GOLDEN COMMANDO in it 😕
It would of went for more if it had the (361 cu in ) 395 Golden Commando engine.
My first car a 59 black sports fury with the Golden Commando. What a fun car that was!
Those old Exner Mopars were certainly an acquired taste..... And I have certainly acquired that taste!
The speed the auctioneer speaks really isn't necessary.

All 59 Sport Fury's had the swivel seats.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
guy stuffing his face behind them to the cadence of the auctioneer
Amazing it’s a 59 not a 58 unfortunately 😂 Christine is a 58 Plymouth this is a 59
Great movie
@@capracoins4317 indeed
Dammit - I wanted that car! Now what am I going to do?
That's a knockout.
George stabs car from Stephen King's other movie riding the bullet Although his might have been a 1960 plmath theory.....
👍🏻🇦🇺✌️
Only Hoovie could call a 318 a 317. Lol
I believe about 15 yrs ago I seen a bone head take one of these to a demo derby.
