I was watching the video..thnking 'please be a Helix, please be a Helix'...then yelled out a YES with raised fist when I saw the Helix! Looks like my 96..although yours looks much better and like it's never seen the sun. You even have the original factory sticker on the gas tank cover, between your legs! Will be following this closely. Mine was in nice shape but lots of deferred maintenance. Needed new filters, fuel lines, carb rebuild, plug, all fluids, belt, sliders, tires, brakes, swingarm bearing, windscreen, had to dye the black floor plastics, compound and polish the paint, painted muffler/exhaust, cvt cover, center stand, replaced most shock bushings (missed the front lowers)..planning on adding Hagon front shocks, Utopia backrest...put about 1100 miles on it so far since June (bought with 7100). Loving the wind protection, especially in these colder months. Everybody should own a Helix at least once.
Hello Ruby, congratulations on getting a beautiful Helix. It has to be one of my all time favorite scooters. When I was working in Portland I bought my first one across the river in Vancouver. I rode that bike all over the place, to Mt Hood, Mt St. Helens and to the coast. You are going to love it!
YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! Finally going to learn so much about my 04 Honda Helix. I'm new to the scooter world and don't know much about them. I'm so scared to take any of the plastics off for fear of breaking them. Conrats on such a GREAT purchase!! I look forward to all your helix videos to come!!!!! reat purchase
Awesome she's a beauty and a definite keeper, you made a good purchase, it's the same color as my 1996 which body parts were 100% showroom condition too, but all the mechanical items were lacking a good full maintenance go over at 22,000 miles which I completed. I subscribed to your channel and have added comments to some of your other videos also. I bet that the first thing you probably are itching to do is pull those OEM rollers and gobs of grease out of that variator and replace them with some nice Dr. Pulley sliders, you might even go from Ruby the Elite, to Ruby the Helix?
The helix is the next scooter I’ll be getting unless I come across a cherry Elite 250 for a killer deal. Didn’t do a whole lot of research on scooters before I got my elite but now that I’ve finally found one I’ve been doing allot of reading, watching videos and being somebody who always turned my head to high cc scooters, never understanding why somebody would get there motorcycle license to ride a scooter but now I can tell you I understand! 😂 Kinda like how people don’t understand why I love my grom but you don’t realize how fun these things are or just how utilitarian scooters are until you start learning about them.
Now I hate you. Just kidding, what a find! I'm the guy with the Morphous that you helped out, and I just scored a Majesty. But that Helix has to be the find of the year, decade, century, all time. It's like it just came off of the showroom. Many thanks to you for all you do, and happy new year to you and yours.
