I like how we technically have a fatui harbinger as a sort of "friend", not only we can get some cool interactions like these, but It's almost like we're "cheering up" for him, we don't want any of the other harbingers to get better of him or anything like that.

her codename is "Colombina" based on the commedia dell'arte characters. Her character uses numerous disguises to trick harlequin (Arlecchino). Considering that she is the 3rd member of the Harbinger and her appearance being deceptive of how strong she might be. I guess Tartaglia's intuition about her is right after all.
also possible spoilers.. Pulcinella may look like a good character from how Childe describes him. But he is a manipulator, schemer and a thief. He most likely recruited Childe for his goals in mind. Marionette engrossed with her research, she has the ruin guard carrying her, Dottore has the Ruin Guard Factory(In Childe's Story Quest).... I thinks that Dottore might provide Ruin Guards from his factory to help Marionette with her research and as a result, they have a good relationship compared to other harbingers. It is theorised that near the end of the video right before they showed dottore burning down the tree the girl and the guy talking was in fact Marionette and Dottore which makes sense when she was asking abt his segments and how is his progress

Apparently its a mistranslation, the english translations are not always accurate and WAY different than the actual translation. You can check for yourself there is quite a lot lol. So we can only wait till they fix this in the next versions to see the correct one
Strength isn't just about combat capabilities, it's about strength in general, so it includes intelligence, influence, wealth, etc. While Childe may be one of the more powerful ones in terms of combat and even stronger than Dottore the 4th Harbinger, but other than combat capabilities he kind of brings nothing unlike the other ones, hence he is the lowest one. This also explains oh how Childe was EASILY used by Signora because just like I mentioned before, his specialty lies in combat and non other else.

the fact that a good part of the Harbringer’s names are Italian makes it so funny, like dottore? it means doctor. Who knew a doctor could be a deadly criminal. Arlecchino and Pulcinella are just the names of 2 dudes dressed in colorful costumes for a festival
All of their names are taken from la Commedia dell'Arte. Dottore is an alternative name for Balanzone, a traditional mask from Milan which represents the cultured higher middle-class, just like Pantalone, the merchant from Venice (nothing to do with Shakespeare though). Il Capitano is the arrogant military, another very old character, similar to Scaramouche, that already appears in latin comedy. Sandrone, the countryman, on the other hand isn't properly a mask but a typical marionnette from Modena. Pierrot, Arlecchino, Colombina, Pulcinella I guess, need no explanation. Tartaglia is actually a disabled character (tartagliare means "to stutter" in old italian). As for Signora, she is the only one for which I coudn't retrace a clear reference but there's Rosaura, Pantalone's daughter, who represents the stereotypical higher middle class lady, what we would call una signora...
"Who knew a Doctor could be a Deadly criminal" There's so many examples of Evil Doctors in fiction, either they do horrible experiments, or are able to create weapons of mass destruction, with a side of a big ego, or something like that
you'd be surprised. doctors have complete control over their patients since their in such a highly trusted position. they could be giving their patients instructions to their death and nobody would know. there are nurses out there who kill patients under their care just for sick pleasure right? same with docs.
Going by everything we have scene in the cutscene, the voice lines and everything in other media, I would say that: - Pierro is the most important Harbinger. He is powerful, has wisdom and basically brings everything to the table that earns him rank 1. - Pulcinella is probably someone who works a lot from the shadows, pulls strings and manipulates people. Might even be likely that he is someone who pretends to be on the side of the Traveler, just to betray him later on. - Pantalone is the one who is responsible for the finances of the Fatui. So he's probably not that strong when it comes to combat, but brings the entire army of the Fatui with him. Quantity over quality. - Dottore's boss fight will probably be the Traveler fighting against all the different version of Dottore. Imagine not just fighting one guy, but the same guy 5 or 6 times at once. - Capitano appears to be a powerhouse going by what Tartaglia says. But he is also the only one who's face we don't see. Gonna predict that he is related to some character that we already know or are going to meet. - Sandrone. Typical scientist. The traveler is gonna have to fight a lot of ruin machines and other things in order to overcome her. Which leaves us with two Harbingers that are difficult to judge: - Arlecchino feels like a character that will betray the Fatui in order to further her own goals. Also, she has the whole orphanage thing going on. So when it comes to deciding between the Fatui and her children in the orphanage, she might actually side with the children. I don't think all of the Harbingers will be playable, but she does feel like one that will be. Because in order to make things interesting, betrayal has to be a part of the story. Especially with an organization like the Fatui. - Columbina will likely be the typical 'I am number three and that is okay. But when it comes to raw power and skill during combat, I am number one.' Basically, the wolf in sheeps clothing.

Characters seem to get playable only if they get in good terms with us and I can see that the Harbingers will either go Signora way, with their unique 3D model and probably Hu-Tao's future clients, or Childe way, with a default playable character model and that we will be able to befriend to a certain degree. The ones that are very unlikely to be playable in my opinion are Pierro, Pulcinella, Capitano, Dottore and Pantalone, the last two because Dottore has no vision and seems like he relies on technology rather than the elements and Pantalone because it's rumored that he has neither a vision or a delusion. While I think that maybe Arlecchino will be playable just because Childe states that she would betray the Fatui in any moment. But to accertain for good if some of them will be playable or not we must wait to meet them in the game, so we can see their 3D models and have confirmation. Also, we all can say that Diluc in his special skin has no vision and still uses dark fire, this tells us that in future we will meet playable Fatui characters that are not even Harbingers and use delusions
raiden doesn't have a vision on her design and unlike vent or zhongli who have fakes. so i think it is pretty possible for non vision playable character. just not include it in their character models. but the gameplay tht is one thing needs to be considered
Scaramouche is bound to be eventually playable, as he actually has the same files any playable character would have, in alternative to Signora's files calling her a monster/being, Scaramouche's files refer to him as character. The monster/being and character categories already confirm these suspicions about other characters we've met

I wanna point something interesting (at least for me) Hoyoverse did. I'm Surprised how they named THAT girl "arlecchino", don't get me wrong I kinda like It. Let me explain why Since we all know the Harbingers are named after characters in "(la) Commedia dell' Arte" i noticed how controversial but also on point this design is. Arlecchino ,from the Italian tales, he was a guy that didn't have a costume for Carnival and crafted one for himself with tiny colourful pieces of many other costumes. I think this represents her "many sides", She can betray you in an istant. AND this ALSO shows how rigid and cold she Is compared to the original Arlecchino (since her colour palette Is mainly black, White and Red from what i noticed).
All the harbingers are based on the stock characters, but at the same time they all have at least one specific thing about them thats vastly different to their namesakes. Like Dotorre is actually smart and a prominent researcher, but in the comedia hes supposed to just be pretending to be smart but have no idea what hes actually saying.
Pulcinella seems like someone evil who just keeps the perfect exact balance between being nice and warm and cold hearted, so he has some sort of sympathic immunity towards enemys
I'm extremely interested in the Marionette and the Damselette. Marionette cause she just looks depressed from what I see of her, and her name itself meaning puppet. I've always been fascinated by the concept of being controlled as a Marionette, so she interests me already. And the Damselette... she just fascinates me. I like how we technically have a fatui harbinger as a sort of "friend", not only we can get some cool interactions like these, but It's almost like we're "cheering up" for him, we don't want any of the other harbingers to get better of him or anything like that.

Apparently its a mistranslation, the english translations are not always accurate and WAY different than the actual translation. You can check for yourself there is quite a lot lol. So we can only wait till they fix this in the next versions to see the correct one
I believe the rankings is based on when they joined the Fatui, Childe was the last one to join therefore he gets the last place
Strength isn't just about combat capabilities, it's about strength in general, so it includes intelligence, influence, wealth, etc. While Childe may be one of the more powerful ones in terms of combat and even stronger than Dottore the 4th Harbinger, but other than combat capabilities he kind of brings nothing unlike the other ones, hence he is the lowest one. This also explains oh how Childe was EASILY used by Signora because just like I mentioned before, his specialty lies in combat and non other else.

the fact that a good part of the Harbringer’s names are Italian makes it so funny, like dottore? it means doctor. Who knew a doctor could be a deadly criminal. Arlecchino and Pulcinella are just the names of 2 dudes dressed in colorful costumes for a festival
Yeah, almost all of their nicknames are inspired by Italian festivals actors
All of their names are taken from la Commedia dell'Arte. Dottore is an alternative name for Balanzone, a traditional mask from Milan which represents the cultured higher middle-class, just like Pantalone, the merchant from Venice (nothing to do with Shakespeare though). Il Capitano is the arrogant military, another very old character, similar to Scaramouche, that already appears in latin comedy. Sandrone, the countryman, on the other hand isn't properly a mask but a typical marionnette from Modena. Pierrot, Arlecchino, Colombina, Pulcinella I guess, need no explanation. Tartaglia is actually a disabled character (tartagliare means "to stutter" in old italian). As for Signora, she is the only one for which I coudn't retrace a clear reference but there's Rosaura, Pantalone's daughter, who represents the stereotypical higher middle class lady, what we would call una signora...

There's so many examples of Evil Doctors in fiction, either they do horrible experiments, or are able to create weapons of mass destruction, with a side of a big ego, or something like that
you'd be surprised. doctors have complete control over their patients since their in such a highly trusted position. they could be giving their patients instructions to their death and nobody would know. there are nurses out there who kill patients under their care just for sick pleasure right? same with docs.
Going by everything we have scene in the cutscene, the voice lines and everything in other media, I would say that:
- Pierro is the most important Harbinger. He is powerful, has wisdom and basically brings everything to the table that earns him rank 1.
- Pulcinella is probably someone who works a lot from the shadows, pulls strings and manipulates people. Might even be likely that he is someone who pretends to be on the side of the Traveler, just to betray him later on.
- Pantalone is the one who is responsible for the finances of the Fatui. So he's probably not that strong when it comes to combat, but brings the entire army of the Fatui with him. Quantity over quality.
- Dottore's boss fight will probably be the Traveler fighting against all the different version of Dottore. Imagine not just fighting one guy, but the same guy 5 or 6 times at once.
- Capitano appears to be a powerhouse going by what Tartaglia says. But he is also the only one who's face we don't see. Gonna predict that he is related to some character that we already know or are going to meet.
- Sandrone. Typical scientist. The traveler is gonna have to fight a lot of ruin machines and other things in order to overcome her.
Which leaves us with two Harbingers that are difficult to judge:
- Arlecchino feels like a character that will betray the Fatui in order to further her own goals. Also, she has the whole orphanage thing going on. So when it comes to deciding between the Fatui and her children in the orphanage, she might actually side with the children. I don't think all of the Harbingers will be playable, but she does feel like one that will be. Because in order to make things interesting, betrayal has to be a part of the story. Especially with an organization like the Fatui.
- Columbina will likely be the typical 'I am number three and that is okay. But when it comes to raw power and skill during combat, I am number one.' Basically, the wolf in sheeps clothing.
pierro is number one of the fatui harbingers, because he is also the one who formed fatui with the Tsaritsa 500 years ago.

@@avry9770 I think it's about strength and abilities in general and not just about combat capabilities, which means it also includes intelligence, wealth, influence, etc. While Childe is one of the stronger ones in the Fatui in terms of combat capabilities, he is kinda falls flat outside of that area compared to the other Harbingers, hence he is ranked the lowest. He may be stronger than Signora in combat, but Signora has a lot to offer knowing that she WAS the smartest student and mage of Sumeru Academia had for 500 years, she is pretty smart compared to Childe.

But that in turn scares me for his playability, since Natlan is probably the place where a Harbinger is most likely to die due to how dangerous it is, and how late in the story it is.

Characters seem to get playable only if they get in good terms with us and I can see that the Harbingers will either go Signora way, with their unique 3D model and probably Hu-Tao's future clients, or Childe way, with a default playable character model and that we will be able to befriend to a certain degree. The ones that are very unlikely to be playable in my opinion are Pierro, Pulcinella, Capitano, Dottore and Pantalone, the last two because Dottore has no vision and seems like he relies on technology rather than the elements and Pantalone because it's rumored that he has neither a vision or a delusion. While I think that maybe Arlecchino will be playable just because Childe states that she would betray the Fatui in any moment. But to accertain for good if some of them will be playable or not we must wait to meet them in the game, so we can see their 3D models and have confirmation. Also, we all can say that Diluc in his special skin has no vision and still uses dark fire, this tells us that in future we will meet playable Fatui characters that are not even Harbingers and use delusions
raiden doesn't have a vision on her design and unlike vent or zhongli who have fakes. so i think it is pretty possible for non vision playable character. just not include it in their character models. but the gameplay tht is one thing needs to be considered
Scaramouche is bound to be eventually playable, as he actually has the same files any playable character would have, in alternative to Signora's files calling her a monster/being, Scaramouche's files refer to him as character. The monster/being and character categories already confirm these suspicions about other characters we've met

I'm Surprised how they named THAT girl "arlecchino", don't get me wrong I kinda like It. Let me explain why
Since we all know the Harbingers are named after characters in "(la) Commedia dell' Arte" i noticed how controversial but also on point this design is.
Arlecchino ,from the Italian tales, he was a guy that didn't have a costume for Carnival and crafted one for himself with tiny colourful pieces of many other costumes.
I think this represents her "many sides", She can betray you in an istant.
AND this ALSO shows how rigid and cold she Is compared to the original Arlecchino (since her colour palette Is mainly black, White and Red from what i noticed).
Ironically, her colors are similar to harley quinn
All the harbingers are based on the stock characters, but at the same time they all have at least one specific thing about them thats vastly different to their namesakes. Like Dotorre is actually smart and a prominent researcher, but in the comedia hes supposed to just be pretending to be smart but have no idea what hes actually saying.
Pulcinella seems like someone evil who just keeps the perfect exact balance between being nice and warm and cold hearted, so he has some sort of sympathic immunity towards enemys
I'm extremely interested in the Marionette and the Damselette.
Marionette cause she just looks depressed from what I see of her, and her name itself meaning puppet. I've always been fascinated by the concept of being controlled as a Marionette, so she interests me already.
And the Damselette... she just fascinates me. Also, she pretty af and makes me question if I'm Bi- .
