Arlecchino is probably one of the most interesting characters to me.
To her kids, while she may not be the cuddliest parent, she rescued them and encourages them to be their strongest selfs. To Fontainians she’s helpful but still a suspicious Fatui. To the Fatui she’s an absolute insane lunatic who’d kill you without a second thought. And to Furina, she’s her sleep paralysis demon.
Fr, her personality interests me and while she’s not as mysterious as Colombina or some others, hers supposed “two faced” sons has me wondering about the possibilities of what she truly is

“How Father expresses love. Not everyone can accept it” that’s such a thing a child conditioned to abuse would say, Arlecchino is a very interesting character and while I do love the fact that she will be playable, I hope this doesn’t come at the cost of her becoming one of the good guys
I really want her to be the Genshin equivalent of John Constantine - more specifically Hellblazer Constantine when John was at his worst - no one should trust her and always treat with the idea that she *will* screw them over if she can gain something from it.
Hell this is a woman who views crying as a weakness.
It's the same as Scaramouche.

Im still not convinced that she really IS that sincere even after we met her in Fontaine. There will be a point in the Archon Quest where her more insane, sinister side will manifest. And it won't be pretty.

I really don't understand why so many people think Arlecchino wanted to kill Furina. Arle wanted the Gnosis. As we've clearly seen with Venti, she wouldn't have to kill Furina to get it.
@@mistman_161Plus, Fontaine was on the verge of drowning, she doesn't want her and her family to die either, and attacking Furina might be a wise choice at that point. The fact that she didn't use the trio to get the Gnosis might also hint that she was desperate too.

I don't believe I've ever seen such a character with wildly different perspectives of them from others. Arlecchino is an interesting case.

Child follow his instincts similar to his thoughts about Columbina
And he said she is not loyal to the fatui like otherss
Especially since she from Fontaine
Normally this is good
But scara descriptions is always accurate so I can't stop fell uncomfortable about the future
Scara is bitter and hateful, because he feels betrayed by the Fatui. He exaggerates everyone’s worst qualities. Childe… He basically described Dottore like some ordinary nerdy weirdo. Based on that, I wouldn’t trust his opinions at all. Childe feels comfortable with abominations that bend the laws of reality (Capitano sure belongs here too). On Columbina, I’d rather trust Scaramouche’s opinion, even he has nothing bad to say about her.
Arlecchino… I don’t trust anyone’s opinion of her right now. She seemed close to Signora based on her lines during the funeral. Arlecchino was the only one who genuinely cared.
Even the Archon Quest didn’t show enough of Arlecchino’s character. She was just… Kinda there, but not in the same way as other harbingers before.
So I DEMAND an Arlecchino story quest! Or any quest that focuses on her. She has no world quest crumbs like Sandrone, not even more obscure, but existing crumbs like with Pantalone. Just who IS Arlecchino herself..?

He gives a description of Pantalone that matches with Pantalone’s lore, and him wanting to overthrow the natural imbalance between gods and humans. And “Fair Exchange” which was a huge part of Pantalones lore.
Columbina does indeed act innocent like a damsel. So Scara is right about that. Even Tartaglia has an off vibe with her even though she presents herself as just some girl.
He doesn’t say much abt dottore nor does he make him out to be nerdy. He just expresses his hatred. And his disappointed Nahida made dottore erase some of his segments.
Tartaglia is a simple minded person. I mean that in the nicest way. I love him. Now as for his body, it’s normal for Scara to refer to Tartaglia’s body as weak bc Scara’s is nearly indestructible. And Tartaglia is the lowest seat so yeah..
Pulcinella’s intentions are unknown but I don’t see why Scara would make something up like that. And in Childes Chinese voiceline, his expresses a little more uncertainty with Pulcinella and his intentions. Arle did refer to Pulcinella and Pantalone as heartless businessmen in the lazzo I’m pretty sure.
What he told abt Pierro is correct as well.
Sandrone’s also is likely correct. It even matches the official fan book. She seems to spend loads of time on her own research. Scara just sees it as garbage but the rest seems to pretty much match.
Love is also a form of sin, so Scara isn’t wrong abt that description on the Tsaritsa. And she is praised for her benevolence it seems with Tartaglia’s voiceline of her. Scara only questions if she’s compensating for something.
Now Arle putting up a front isn’t impossible. She’s sketchy as hell in the Fontaine arc.. and she was acting all cordial and graceful too in Fontaine and wanted control, so Scara’s beliefs kinda line up..
Then ofc the "Very fun. But it's not enough. Let me make something clear. You think of yourselves as "magicians" but when you're on stage, you're first and foremost actors. Good actors hone their craft to mesmerize the whole crowd.” and all that before pushing Lyney and Lynette’s cut outs to the ground. She describes herself as an actor after the prophecy im pretty sure. Also she grooms kids to being soldiers and if they betray the house, the kids they grew up with/around are sent to kill them so that’s that ig. Def ain’t the most sane thing so that aligns with Tartaglia’s voiceline. Scara is also right abt the true her, we’ve heard from lyney and Lynette’s story what happens to people that cross her. Tho she did a good thing because that weirdo was literally a groomer or smth. But yeah she is fine with her kids murdering her other kids if they betray the house and also hates children crying because weakness so rip freminet ig.
Now for the caring of Signora, Scara has an interesting line abt fatui dinners. He says it’s interesting watching them try and be civil and act considerate, smth along the lines of that in his teapot line. Even Childe was being civil. And since they act civil during dinners, a funeral would require them to be even more civil because a harbinger literally died.
“Rosalyne died in a foreign land... But you heartless businessmen and dignitaries, always with a convenient excuse to remain in the comfort of your homeland... You couldn't hope to understand. So why don't you keep your mouths shut! We don't want to make the children cry...”
She seems more concerned with Signora dying in Inazuma and Pulcinella and Pantalone always staying in Snezhnaya. Then the whole children crying thing seriously what is up with that girl.. then Childe steps in and says it’s no place for a fight. I would also like to note that she acts completely different here than she does in Fontaine. To the harbingers who know of what she does, she’s more harsh and rude, but to others she acts cordial. It’s pretty interesting. I can definitely tell where Scara got the wolf in sheep’s clothing from. But who knows. Her character hasn’t been revealed fully yet but she def is sketchy. Scara’s descriptions haven’t been all too off so far, but we’ll see sometime soon

Dottore can be considered a “core member” of the Harbingers, one who actually knows about their plans and ensures their smooth execution. The top three have god-level powers. Yet Scaramouche called Dottore a human and said “The Doctor doesn’t know his place” during the Archon quest.
Nahida, and even Paimon could immediately sense that Dottore is leagues above their power level, confrontation couldn’t possibly end well. Yet Scaramouche still clings to the delusion that he could have destroyed all segments…
Columbina is absolutely not an innocent damsel. It’s a thinly veiled act. We saw her engaging in friendly banter with one of the Dottore segments in the Lazzo video. She is close and friendly with Dottore, if you observe their interactions. So much for innocence…
Pulcinella is a ruthless mayor who refused to give even a full free day on Signora’s funeral. Again, assuming he has bad intentions is based on the most surface-level information.
Arlecchino is ruthless, all harbingers know that. Meanwhile, the orphans know her softer side only. I’ll believe someone who knows both.
Sandrone makes mechanisms! What an astute observation! The lowest-ranking Fatui soldier could see as much. And she isn’t too friendly. But Scaramouche knows nothing about her and based on his opinion, he never bothered to try.
Pantalone… The description Scaramouche gives again, only matches the most surface-level lore. At least he confirmed that he’s indeed collaborating with Dottore.
Childe is impulsive and can be a bit of a simpleton, but he has surprisingly clever moments. Copying the Sigils of Permission was one of his bright decisions, proving that he can use his head if he actually bothers to try. A diamond in the rough, and we shouldn’t assume he’s reached his full potential. Childe was recruited as a teenager, just like Dottore who also improved a lot since his youth. I believe Pantalone sees potential in him too, based on their relationship crumbs we got. Now we know Childe actually improved a lot since the last time we saw him.
…So Scaramouche was wrong about both his intellect and his power. His recruitment was an investment. It didn’t pull down the quality of Harbingers. On the contrary, they’re cleverly raising young talents as Harbingers to be truly loyal allies.
Tsaritsa? Scaramouche finally gave us actually new, useful information!
Compensating for something… now that’s interesting. Love is a form of sin. Tsaritsa is a god of love confirmed, the upgrade crystals were our first clue. Love as a sin is a major theme in Fontaine, and was introduced back in Sumeru. The story books always hinted at it too.
The original sin is the fairest. Everyone sinks…

My bad, all Childe talks abt is Dottores clones tho?
Anyways Scara did have an odd feeling abt dottore, which is why he didn’t want to keep Dottore in sumeru.
As for dottore, it was all just an experiment for him. Whether Nahida and traveller would beat Scara or not. Regardless he only wanted the dendro gnosis. Ofc he wouldn’t let scara keep the gnosis. Scara must have had knew something of the sort if he didn’t want dottore coming back and claimed dottore only cared for his experiments. He was deceived with what happened in his past. Pierro nor the Tsaritsa or any one else in the Fatui besides Dottore had anything to do with that, so not everyone. Dottore’s original plan given by Pierro was something different before he discovered Scara, but when he did he changed things himself, Pierro didn’t instruct him to. Dottore killed niwa and deceived scara on his own. So I’d say the only person that deceived him was Dottore. No one else. As for the experiments, that wasn’t a trick either. It was a mutual agreement and scara agreed to endure them to get stronger.
But damn Scara’s been around for 400 years in the fatui, he’d obviously know some things. So how are we just gonna throw him out of the loop.. He hasn’t been incorrect so far. Arle is literally grooming kids to soldiers. That much is known. And cmon.. him telling us she acts cordial and then her suddenly being all cordial in the Fontaine archon quest isn’t strange? Yeah okay..
Does anyone completely know abt Pierro’s and The Tsaritsa’s plans besides burning the old world? I don’t think so. At least not yet.
Scara only knows that Pierro had his reasons for sending him into the abyss, and speculations on the Tsaritsa.
I absolutely love how complex Arlecchino is as a character. I CANNOT WAIT to hear HER voice lines!
I have a theory that she will show her supposed ruthless side in 4.6 and that will be in attempt to save lyney/children of the house of hearth. We will finally see that the real arlechino is both fiercely protective of her children yet every bit cunning and cruel as stated by other characters.
I like this idea. Like have her kindness to her kids be genuine and still have her be a cruel and cunning person to others.
Or probably the weekly boss they talk about probably is the "former" The Knave that our current The Knave will be forced to fight her on 4.6, idk. I also have this feeling that just like Zhongli story quest, finishing Arlecchino story quest will unlock weekly boss domain. Idk it's just my opinion.
@@hirokishinguji I figure the old Knave is dead. Granted we never did get full confirmation but it’d be sorta weird if she’s like “YOU FOOLS! IVE BEEN IN HIDING FOR THIS MOMENT”
If we did injure her kids in some ways though, I can see her trying to kill us on sight lol. Hopefully, that won't happen

I want more enemy playable character boss fight like Childe. For example, Lyney could ask Traveler to spar as they want to be as strong as Arlecchino.
I want her voice lines about Columbina, really can't wait
I still can’t decide whether to trust her or not. I am very grateful for her helping Navia out, though.
Honestly what interests me the most about her is whether or not she will reveal her supposive evil side in story.
Granted though given that childe is one of the ones that calls her this I have a feeling so far she just haven't had a reason to reveal her supposive true personality yet.
Considering that she taught children to value their own lives and think for themselves.
I think she just might relate to different people differently.
Neglect some and sincerely appreciate others.

And the harsh treatment of the Director was probably the reason she took it upon herself to kill and replace the Director, using a more familial nickname for the children with no parents to call, Father. I can see her being crazy like Scara said, considering her upbringing, but I don't think she's an evil character either, like Dottore is.
This will hit different once all of ya'll play the upcoming quest in the near future. Well, that's that for now because I watched the 4.6 trailer.
She probably has a tough love sort of thing going and anyone who has gone 'poof' according to Wanderer probably saw her Mama bear side 🤣

Given that Arlecchino replaced the previous, bloodthirsty, Arlecchino, Childe might be mistaking her with the previous one. Seeing as she became a Harbinger when Freminet was a child (and he seems to be a teenager at the moment), I believe it might coincide with the time Childe first joined the Fatui, which gives him ample time to hear all sorts of bad things about "Arlecchino" without knowing there was a new one around the time he was enrolled. As for Scaramouche, he speaks badly of everybody but Kazuha (and Nahida I think?) so not exactly reliable either.
Well u can't put it like that.... Right now she is the most insnae and crazy character thats going to have the lore and all the spotlight. So yeah keep in mind that if childe ( the sanest character of the game ) is calling someone insane then u better take that seriously atleast for now especially in the case of her as she is the 4th FATUI HARBINGER

She literally replaced the previous arlecchino like you said and traumatized furina like those already say a lot about her? Also the overture teaser literally showed her being suspicious. Many people are even speculating she’s just using her children with the way she’s raising them to be her soldiers. Don’t get me wrong btw, I love her, which is why I would love her more once she reveals her villain side. Another thing: the npc during the court trial even said a harbinger is usually never innocent

Her name is the “knave”, Latin word for dishonest or cunning, Even scaramouche says to not trust her, he may have been our enemy before but never dishonest, and if he says something that negative about a fellow harbinger then it’s absolutely something to consider.

it's pretty obvious her act of kindness towards traveler is purely fake,
she's just letting traveler's guard down just so she can kill him.
She definitely comes off as extremely manipulative. Just like Scaramouche says, she is like a wolf in sheeps clothing, luring you in until you are close enough to be in her claws.

I wonder . With how her boss looks and the like. I wonder if that crazy self has something to do with those wings we keep seeing...her red eyes and glitchy ess makes me think of khanriah or celestia . Either or really...the 'bale moon' also seems a bit...off .

Furina is a victim of consequences lmao, she couldn't tell anyone what she was doing to save Fontaine, but Arlecchino was desperate to grab the Gnosis as well to use it to try and save her House, that's why she did it herself instead of sending Lyney and the others.

Tbh i think she might represent “jury equity” in court. Basically jury equity is when the jury believes that the person who committed a crime is guilty but shouldn’t be punished. For example there was a women who killed her daughter who asked to be put out of her misery cuz she was suffering from something uncureale for yrs so the mother killed her. The jury heard this story and decided that she wasn’t guilty even though knowing she did kill her daughter. The knave, would defend her family no matter what. A good example was Lynettes story. She saved them. Maybe by killing them however she’s still objectively good for saving kids…

Keep in mind me I f the reasons she could have been helping Fontaine is because she is one of them that would’ve dissolved
The only person I don't trust is Childe in this regard. He's too devoted to the Tsaritsa, so the idea that Arlecchino would easily betray her would piss him off. Naturally making him more harsh and exaggerate in his perception of her.
Wanderer also wasen't the most friendliest of the Harbringers. He doesn't really have a good opinion of anyone. If he does know about her "crazy" side and likely that she killed the previous Knave. How hasen't he gone poof?
Someone like Freminet seem alot more trustworthy with his account of happenings. Since he'd be less blinded by the postivies Arlecchino brought like Lyney and Lynette, while also not being far less likely to be suspicious of her.

About how she cared enough about him to tell him the truth of how he was abandoned by her mother at the orphanage (it's a long story, but her mom was doing it for his own good). I can believe her making people go poof if they hurt her family though.
tbh I wouldnt be surprised if she's doting and caring towards every children in her orphanage while being a menace to anyone who she deemed as her enemy since atleast 2 of Hoyo games actually depicts every characters associated or being an owner of an orphanage like this.

there's something fishy about her, sometimes i wonder as for children that aren't part of aristocratic families. i wonder if she also killed some loving parents in secret either by dealing with it silently or by orchastrating it by making sure it has no connections to her. not to mention how she could possibly be genuine or a good actor.
Arlecchino is not as complex to me as she is to others… I really just feel as though she has some genuinely good characteristics and some that are also genuinely bad, unlike other Fatui that are just awful people all around. Although, I do believe her strength level is something that shouldn’t be tampered with. She IS the 4th harbinger for a reason, lol.
One thing a lot of people misjudge about Arlecchino is her attempt to "assassinate" Furina. It wasn't an attempt, prior to her attack she talks with an Agent about how she feels there is something off about Furina, and doesn't feel that she even has the Gnosis or is even a God. To prove this, she THEN "attacks" Furina and confirms to herself her suspicion.

She most likely isn't good or bad but moraly gray. Those raised in the House of the Hearth view each other as "family" and refer to their bonds as being "tighter than blood." Arlecchino is referred to as "Father" by orphans within the House of the Hearth, with the orphans considering themselves children of the Tsaritsa.

Got a feeling she’s the victim of yet another of Celestia’s imposed curses compared to Dainsleif except her arms were affected only but she has the same immortality assuming she’s secretly Khaenri’ahn which could also explain why her eyes are red cross fatui symbol shaped pupils instead of blue star ones if she’s using contacts to conceal her identity. And for her identity as Father of the Hearth, she could be “father” of the ideology she’s promoting 🗿🍷
She’s so interesting. To be honest, I don’t trust her one bit. Even Scara warns us about her and he doesn’t seem to care about us whatsoever. Also find it odd she uses orphans, basically grooms them to do her bidding and get information for her knowing children are loyal and will be grateful for her saving them. She also is quite hard of Freminet scolding him for crying to the point that he can only feel comfortable letting out his emotions underwater. On the other hand, Lynette’s vision story seems to suggest she does care for the orphans or at least Lyney and Lynette. She let important papers fall into a puddle and get destroyed just so she could reach out and hold on to the twins before they collapsed from exhaustion so it seems she cares at least a little, even if it was only that she needed them still and therefore needs to protect them so she can still use them. She also said that everyone is valuable and should protect themselves and value their own lives so it’s so hard to figure her out
