@@drachenhexer dilucs 5th constellation is named "phoenix: harbinger of dawn" as well. And iirc it's shaped like a bird of prey because crepus loved drawing them.
Childe says that "If she stood to benefit from betraying others, she'd turn against the Tsaritsa in a heartbeat." in his voice line about Arlecchino, implying the possibility of a betrayal, and Scaramouche calls her a " wolf in sheep's clothing", so she could be the hand of glory.
the 10th being the mask also makes sense if he/she is a liar, spy or simply a hidden character we will meet and discover his true identity later as those 3 things would make the double-face mask a fitting symbol for he/she more than to arlecchino whose every voiceline she gets more & more traitorous, arlecchino also steals children from other nations so the hand of glory is punishment for thieves part also fits
Also in the commedia Arlecchino always goes against his master and is a trickster, crook, skilled at deception, so It make sense for her to be the hand of glory
And I just found out that Pierro is Colombina's housband and that's why he is opposed to Arlecchino, that is Colombina's secret lover! (In the commedia)
@@thurenspascal1581 yep although hoyo has not shown anything between those 3 yet (or ever knowing them and making cannon relationships in genshin lol); some version of the commedia turn the columbina/pierro/arlecchino love triangle into a love-square with columbina acting VERY flirty-touchy with capitano when her other 2 lovers are close, with other versions even having capitano & columbina 2 as the innamorati instead of signora, i'm very interested to see what hoyo will do with these 4 relationships lol
Does anyone else think that Childe is like 70% more intimidating in those clothes? Like the clothes are doing all the heavy lifting here, I mean I love the vibe but like it’s just the clothes right? Or is this just a me thing?
@@coca_0146 yeaaaaaah that too. It’s also probably because he’s normally smiling so I’m like who are you and what have you done with childe? Adding to the scare/intimidation factor
I think its practically confirmed that there is a missing harbinger, since Arlecchino is now confirmed to be the 4th. Pierro has to be the Director and not the 1st because Capitano has be ranked higher. Capitano can't be the 10th because Childe said the Captain was ranked too high for him to notice Childe.
I think I found the mistranslated script that caused a lot of misunderstanding. Tartaglia words on Pierro in English: He was the first ever fatui Harbinger, and today he's our leader. The original Chinese script: 他是愚人众最初的执行官,也是今日执行官们的领袖.. Proper translation: He is the first ever Harbinger of the Fatui, and nowadays he's ALSO the leader of the Harbingers. If it's past tense "was" in Chinese, it would have been 曾经是 or 曾是 or 以前是。but the script only said “是” which is just present tense "is". So TL;DR the script NEVER specified if he quit a Harbinger seat some time in the past, it just pointed out he's status as "The first ever harbinger (without specifying seat number)" while ALSO being the leader at present.
I've seen you (or was it someone else with the default icon?) copy and paste this about... 5 times at the very least, I wanna say? But it's still information that I think more people need to be aware of, so keep it going!
Actually, all the confusion began when a famous leaker, who as of now hasn't been wrong a single time, said that Capitano was number 1, so people had to create reasons was to why Pierro wouldn't be number 1, and right now it's just a accepted thing by the community that Pierro is number 0, with Capitano in number 1.
I feel like this slightly misses the point of the video. The point is more about "are they specifically #1 or not?", and less "are they a harbinger at all?"
@@Naokarma if someone says “also” it implies that they do more than one thing. In this case, saying “also the leader” implies he’s the first harbinger and a leader, giving him two roles. So it does answer whether or not he is currently the first harbinger. You don’t say “also our leader” without putting putting words that indicate passing event or it’ll be taken as a current statement.
@@The1andonlysharpshooter it would be kinda like in a school right ? The fatuis are the students, the harbingers are the student council and Pierro (who is also apart of the student council) is the president of them. (I know it's kinda a strange example but I think that's the best way to put it to explain lol) He's both the leader and a harbinger
Well, I can see Crepus being the missing Harbinger, it might explain the constant closeness between Mondstadt and Snezhnaya both in the comic and in the game plot
I don't think so considering how much Diluc hates the Fatui, and with how good he is at intelligence gathering and spying you'd think he knew his father was a harbinger
@@Cappy_Cat well, he might hate them precisely because he learned that his father belonged to them AFTER they just killed him for whatever reason. After all, Diluc didn't know his own father that well, and he remembers him as someone kinda far from him (remember the Of Drink a Dreaming event) Edit: also, Diluc receives his Vision after using his father's delusion and getting rid of it, as it can be seen as a way to cut ties with that part of his family's past and to declare the definite war on the Fatui
@@erikboncoref.7020 Well the Fatui didn't kill, Crepus, he essentially killed himself by using a delusion fighting Ursa, also that's the big thing, he died using the delusion once, the other harbingers have used their delusions countless times over and over again never dying as a result, yet this supposed 10th harbinger who is stronger than Childe (a character able to use his delusion for extended periods of time) dies just like that. It doesn't make sense to me if he would have been the 10th
@@Cappy_Cat well, Childw didn't face the residue of an ancient god as Ursa the Drake, and the Fatui were the actual responsibles of waking it up. If not, then I don't think Diluc might have such a huge resentment towards the Fatui
I love the idea of Crepus being a Harbinger. The angst? The plot twist? The tie back to the manga? I would adore it. It's pretty crack but it's a fun crack. These bizzare theories are the most fun to watch honestly.
Would explain how diluc could infiltrate with his bright red hair. Fatuis: oh red haired guy in a fatui uniform? Must be crepus lol. No one else got a bright red hair here
An interesting thing that people have noted is the presence of the Fatui Leitmotif in Fischl's themes, leading people to believe that Fischl (or her family) have connections with the Fatui (Perhaps via the Adventurer's Guild) OR that the Princess Fischl that Amy based her persona off of maybe related to the Fatui or even the Tsaritsa herself (Especially when fairy tales and allegories are currently more reliable sources of information than "factual" records because of the Irminsul Tree.)
My personal brainrot is that Columbina is Fishl, as in the person both Flowers for Princess Fishl, The Legendary Halberd and (maybe) Mina of a fallen Nation are based on.
i'd go with princess fischl than fischl/amy when it comes to having connections with the fatui. that book was just so sus. and with the irminsul in the picture, i wouldn't be surprised if the fatui leitmotif was foreshadowing princess fischl's connections to the fatui or the tsarista
I read somewhere that the book "Flowers for Princess Fischl" could be based on Rosalyne or Signora. I think Fischl's demo had similarities in her ost that can be heard in Signora's boss theme. But I could be wrong.
The biggest brainrot theory I ever have had in Genshin comes about because of this (TLDR at the end for those who see this and don't want to read everything) Flowers Vol. 1 describes two characters Zarathustra and The Musician, both are to give the praises of the Princess Fischl, one who claims her agony and pain, while the other voices her brave travels, it is also clarified she does not favor the latter because she would be ashamed of it. Hope you're ready for a ride. Zarathustra, is actually not a German name, it is another name for Zoroaster who was an Iranian prophet that essentially founded a religion. We have someone who has spoken about the Tsaritsa who basically founded his own religion Zhongli. Does anyone recall the Dialogue with Zhongli during Rex Lapis' "funeral" he brings up the Cryo Archon and has a very lamenting tone, much like how Zarathustra proclaims Princess Fischl's agony. Meanwhile, Venti is a bard, a type of musician, who mentioned the Tsaritsa and him being friends and he evenly spoke very highly of her, but he also says for whatever reason after The Event happened 500 years ago, she cut off all contact with Venti, maybe hinting she feels kind of guilty for betraying Celestia because she feels her friend would not agree, or maybe (and more likely) the brave adventure even refers to the Cataclysm and maybe even the Archon War before that? This makes sense because if she truly turned her back on the way the world is now, she would be understandably ashamed of the pain and death she made others suffer (especially Khaerianh), this is compacted even more because from what we know of the Tsaritsa she seemed to have been a genuinely kind and caring person (especially with her concept being Love?) And she might have been the youngest and most naive of the Archons at the time, if we ignore if she participated in the Archon War violently for a moment, it makes sense she never had to deal with a major problem like say Rhukkadehvata did with Deshret and his pursuit of Forbidden Knowledge or the constant threat of erosion and evil plaguing Liyue, or even the constant rebellion from the people of Sangonomiya like Raiden, it is entirely possible the Tsaritsa was just what is essentially a young naive Princess who spent most of her days playing and seeing her people prosper until she coldened and hardened upon returning from the Cataclysm. The first volume mentions a lot of opera this and opera that, well the Harbingers are literally inspired from the Stock characters from Commedia Dell' Arte an opera! The book also makes references to fighting monster after monster that were all powerful and formidable, sounds a lot like Rhinedottir's creations when they went rogue. TLDR; Flowers for Princess Fischl is a book telling the story of the Princess of Snehznaya, before she became the Tsaritsa, Zarathustra and The Musician who go around and talk about Fischl are Zhongli and Venti respectively and I wasted a LOT of sleep a few months ago when I was researching for this brainrot theory
Everytime I hear the number 12, as a czech person, especially if its a group of 12 people I can't help but think of the czech fairytale about the 12 months/moons from Božena Němcovás fairytale collection
Oh, it's actually decently popular in Russia too. A soviet writer was inspired by this fairytale and wrote a play... There are a lot of differences between the play and the original fairytale though. I wonder whether the fatui are actually a reference to either of these now too, never thought about it before
@@_dragonflies_ true true, and there is an idea of the 13th month in the Russian story as far as i remember, aaaaand i just remembered the Chinese zodiac, comprised of 12 animals AND the cat being the 13th one who lost the race because of the mouse's (1st zodiac on the race) deception!!!
As a Chinese speaker thanking for pointing out the fact the localization messed up the “seat” thing that has been driving me up the wall for ages. It’s pretty frustrating how much gets omitted or outright erased because of improper translation
@Blaze So far for the Harbingers the only big things were their seats and Pierro’s role as the founder of the Harbingers. I believe another had to do with which members were recruited by Pierro .(i’ll have to look more into this one) Another localization thing I still see around is the Twins being minors when they are actually at least one thousand years old and that they are of the divine not mortal I think the biggest difference is context for both, they relatively mean the same thing. But 神明 leans more towards “god” and 魔神 leans more towards demon. There are other things I’d have to look through my notes (Sorry my English isn’t great, does this make sense??)
@@Hyopomora Oh the twins being minors isn't a localization error, it's a misunderstanding. They just look young so a lot of people took that as their chronological age because it matches their physical age.
@Blaze sure, So to start, the spacing is gonna be a bit odd because of keyboard sorry These characters mean 秘密secret; clandestine; confidential; classified 新兵new recruit, recruit, rookie 首席seat of honour; chief; the first place 大人 adult; grown-up; (To clarify these characters have many meanings but in this context this is a decent translation) The translation of this: 請務必盡快撤離,將尋回『內森」秘密報告的稻妻新兵交予首席執行官大人 Is “Please be sure to evacuate as soon as possible, and hand over to the General the recruit who found "Nathan" and secretly reported it.” It’s a bit rough for English but I hope it makes some sense
@@xiarabell I honestly looked it up around different sites, from what I found there are multiple ways to understand Major Arcana and sometimes even the order is different like Justice and Strength like swapping places with each other. Anyway have fun reading about them, there are some curious tidbits like The High Priestess can be called The Popess.
Oh holy crap I never thought of that but I like that! I may look through it myself. Probably going to update this whenever I decide which one is which. Edit: So, the Major Arcana is comprised of 22 cards, which would either give us 2 per Harbinger and leave out Pierro, or we have 10 cards that do not match a single Harbinger (9 if you give the Tsaritsa a card). I’m going to go the latter route, simply because it feels more fair. Pierro is definitely The Fool card. Normally, it is associated with folly, mania, and betrayal, which I feel fits. Reversed doesn’t offer as many traits I feel could be argued, barring two: nullity and apathy.
we don't know much about Pierro, so I'm not sure if the fool would fit him, but if the theories about he being from khaenri'eh are right, it would kinda fit captano being the magician can make sense dottore being the high priestess is REALLY odd to me, but I guess it's because you might think since he want to make a god and the high priestess is a priestess it makes sense, but the card of the hierophant is more related to god than the high priestess columbina as the empress makes some sense arlecchino as the emperor also makes sense (specially with lyney and lynette calling her as father) pulcinella being the hierophant makes sense to me, he is the prefect of snezhnaya as far as I know, he is there to protect the others and guide the way scaramouche being the lovers make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE, don't even try to argue, if someone should be the lovers, it had to be at least la signora or someone with more duality sandrone I don't know much, but she being the chariot isn't impossible la signora as the justice... it doesn't fit well... she is a bit blind by her emotions, she being the justice is not a good fit pantalone being the hermit is kinda interesting, specially because he is not favored by the gods (visionless) so he is in a way alone, just like a hermit, also hermit knows a deep truth, hidden... and well, so does pantalone, after all he has the world in his hand without any actual power, only by the power of money if the missing fatui is really diluc's father, I can understand he being the wheel of fortune, after all it's about destiny and circles repeating, like a fatui killing people and then him himself being killed by them and his son now hating fatuis just like one day he started to, since he left childe being strength for who doesn't know about arcanas makes completely sense, but no... strength talks about the true power in the reasoning and thinking that is strong enough to tame a beast, a lion... childe is a muscle brain, he is not a good fit for the strength card I'm kinda sad that if that was somehow true, none of them would be some of the most interesting arcanas like hangedman, tower, star, moon, judgement, world and my favorite, death, death arcana is literally the most interesting arcana, it doesn't talk about the end, but about a new start, the death arcana is the symbol of rebirth, the symbol of ending something is actually the world
@@TnsfFun most of these issues in sites might be wrong translations and the only arcana that actually change places is the fool, who can be either the 0 (first) or the 22 (last), but really, popess is just a shitty translation and if someone has to be a pope, it has to be the hierophant
i think i remember Childe’s voice lines about Arleccino being along the lines of her being a traitor, or willing to betray the Fatui for her own ends. That would make the Traitor/ Hand of Glory constellation being Arleccino make more sense. 20:25
@@imnotreanalbertospynotatal6968 Though the mask can also just be Pierro given his codename as the Jester. Edit. The crying mask in theater also represents tragedy which could relate to his origins.
Well none of this aged that well. Though I do wonder if they changed Arlecchino's characterization after fans responded so positively to her character design.
Even if Crepus wasn't the secret Harbinger this does make me think he had SOME connection to or dirt on thr Fatui, because everything you point out really does make his death look like a hit. Also, Tartaglia is opposite the Fatui symbol. I think, going by his story quest, he's got a huge internal conflict going on between his duty to the Fatui and his fondness for his family. I'm convinced this is going to come up as him being forced to make a choice between the two. So the opposition theory does still check out, but for him it's an internal conflict instead of external like it is with Scaramouche and Dottore.
I always wondered where Crepus’ delusion came from… this actually makes so much sense and the facial hair + clothes too is insanely something Hoyo would do..to not be boring really. I feel like one day we will know of this in a Autumn patch / around Dorman port or Snezhnahya + edit: fun fact, I am Italian and Brighella in Italian literally means something like, “marachella”, an old way to say “little chaos” or something children would do
20:09 Another description of Brighella's character is that "he's basically Arlecchino's smarter and more vindicitive brother/counterpart". That could be a source of beef between them, imo. Maybe despite Crepus being just the tenth seat, and Arlecchino being all the way to the fourth, he managed to outwit and screw her up one too many times for her comfort. Maybe for the lols, or maybe for a deeper reason.
If Crepus was in the Fatui after adopting Kaeya, that may be a cause for a schism. I haven’t done the Fontaine Archon Quest so idk if it’s been confirmed or not, but I sincerely doubt that Arlecchino treats the orphans in her care very well. Crepus, now a father to both a biological and adopted son, may dislike her for the treatment of the orphans in the House of Hearth.
Something to add here, Crepus RIGHT HAND is torn off/taken in the comic. The Hand of Glory wiki said it is often specified as being the left side, buT can be left or right hand. The delusion Crepus was wearing is on the left side, while the constellation is using the right hand side as the candle stick. If you check the 2 comic pages(ch7 part 2, p.11-12), where Diluc is looking that Crepus death. Crepus left hand, that has the delusion, is still intact with his body (page 11, finger are still shown n all that). But his RIGHT HAND is gone, and it looks like it been cut off rather before it turn to dust yet (page 12). That's a deliberate way of drawing it, the right hand look torn off with the sleeve being cut and damage. (Also the blood injury is due to this right hand being rip off, and no injury on his left side) So I think the theory can be solid here. The right hand is taken / torn off symbolizing this constellation, same as the shape for the fatui constellation using the right hand (possibility using right hand instead of left one to throw off theory connecting to the Hand of Glory? maybe)
After 4.2, Arlecchino is number 4, so Capitano HAS TO BE 1, cuz like Childe says how Capitano is so beyond him in rank and strength, if the rank represent strength, capitano can't be 10th, so there might actually be a 10th missing fatui, and Diluc's father makes a lot of sense actually, the crack theory is pretty good
@@_3ero_241 Its really spooky. I have photoshop so i took the Harbinger clock and aligned the hands to different points based on what happened so far and got different times on the clock with Tsarista being Noon/Midnight. It was very very eerie.
at this point i wouldn't put it past them at all (and then we get the whole talk about equivalent exchange and how his soul is bound to a pile of metal)
Another crack theory i have that isn't very likely to be true because it'd be ehhh, is that the missing harbinger is that guy you get in a Liyue commission that says he's just an ordinary person fishing to pass the time, but he can also get rid of monsters with ease without lifting a finger, he also says that he has done bad things in the past which is why he no longer uses his real name
He’ll probably play some role in the future but him being a fatui harbinger is unlikely because of his design. The harbingers are all designed very lavishly and in my opinion all look like they’re going to be playable in the future and he’s just too npc looking to actually be a character of that importance
@@pclsn But what if it was a disguise? If you did all the archon quest, we can remember that (insert the read more), so we still can't slash out that possibility. For spoilers, "Dottore used a disguise too"
Krepus "having beef" with Arlecchino does make sense though. Arlecchino is the one who hunts traitors to the Fatui, and if Krepus was a Fatui Harbinger that betrayed the others, then Arlecchino would be the one hunting him down, no?
What I find interesting about Crepus is that in the manga (if I remember it right) we never actually see his whole face/ his eyes specifically. Doesn't prove anything, I just found it a bit strange because we see the eyes of basically every other person in the manga.
I was searching for this comment now as arlecchino is about to be released. If the other constellations are correct here that leaves us with the crying mask... which is again very similar to the Pale Flame circlet assigned to Pierro. I wonder if its just coincidence...
Someone was trying to convince me of an idea like this recently and I was like, "yeeeeah, I don't really see that because why would Hoyo go out of their way to tell us about _every_ Harbinger and just not talk about some left over Harbinger?" but if it's someone who was a traitor (Crepus or otherwise) that would make more sense. Either way, I'm willing to wait and see where Hoyo goes with this.
Should there be a hidden harbinger, I'd imagine they're probably a sleeper agent hidden in any country (ones we visited or ones we haven't) and that the Fatui will only ever call on that harbinger if they absolutely need to do so. It's a longshot but oh well big lore drops are common in Genshin every version. Honestly the whole idea of the insignia being that of a traitor actually gives me The Syndicate (from Mission Impossible) vibes. Maybe the insignia isn't on one person and is instead a group of people that betrayed their respective nations (willingly) and joined the Fatui. And instead of being directly involved in combat or foreign affairs they're instead sent to be as lowkey as possible and are meant to cause all sorts of messes if needed. At the same time people in those nations wouldn't be trying to find them because they probably either "went missing" or "died". Considering the Fatui have a reputation of abducting children it's not far off for them to recruit agents by having the person agree first before staging a way to fake their death or disappearance.
If there's actually a missing Harbinger, I can see The Tsaritsa appointing someone new to join them Also, I'm still confused whether low-ranked Harbinger can climb their way up (especially to fill the empty number spot) or if fallen Harbinger's number (like Signora's No. 8) will be retired just like in sports as an honor
according to the current information we are "missing" the 10th, missing as in they exist but we have 0 idea of how he or she looks or what does he/she does; hoyo probably gonna make the 10th into a spy so in some region we will get surprised as the new friend we made is in truth the 10th harbinger and we are getting attacked, betrayed or kidnapped by him/her; basically a better "friendly tartaglia act" chlde pulls at the beggining of liyue just this time we have no idea it's a fatui we are getting chummy with
You are forgetting that The Tsaritsa herself is the boss of Cryoland. I don't think there are any twists and they are just revealed straight up because in the grand scheme they are not that important. The important part is you have to beat a Archon who froze a palace in less than 2 seconds. Who will likely be stronger when you fight her because she'll probably have all the Gnosis by that point. So Piero probably is a Harbinger, but the Harbingers aren't in charge. The Tsaritsa is.
@@YuyuHakurei the archon probably is an outside part of the fatui organization, like ei is to the tricomission or zhong to the adeptus, if you dont follow leaks i would advise not read too many comments about the topic... but pierro is the "retired" former 1st who now acts as the harbingers manager with capitano now at the 1 spot
I'm watching this in 5.1 and the whole order of bossfights thing made my jaw drop. I was trying to remember who we fought after Scaramouche, and I was thinking, "Capitano?" But then I remembered that we never technically fought him. Mavuika fought him. I had totally forgotten about the Arlecchino bossfight in Fontaine. That's what shocked me. This theory was yet to be proven incorrect with another piece of evidence. However, this means that the next boss fight would be Columbina? We haven't heard much of anything about her in the story so far, so I wonder if she either will feel the need to or will be forced to get involved with Capitano in Natlan for somehow betraying the Tsaritsa with what he did during the archon quest...? But that doesn't match up with his character. Actually as I am writing this, it occurred to me that the Tsaritsa might send Columbina to retrieve the gnosis from Mavuika, as Capitano has so far failed to do so. But there are many holes in this theory, so I have no idea how this might pan out just yet. But very interesting to think about, great video!
Just finished the video! Nice work again Ashikai. This was awesome to listen to. Honestly Crepus being an undercover Fatui harbinger is a super interesting concept considering that we don’t know much about him, and how he died is kind of a mystery. What piques my interest about this however, is that Collei in the manga also had a good idea on how he died, and since she was Dottore’s test subject, maybe she was familiar with the technology that ended up killing him, which could definitely further imply his involvement. Though if he was a harbinger, I can’t help but wonder why exactly? What did he have to gain? Mysteries upon mysteries! XD
I kinda wanted to talk about a pet theory I have about Columbina, its never sat right with me that she is just a Seele. Doing the desert quest made me think maybe she is Shirin but that is mainly due to the fact Liloupar's bottle has wings (why?). The Goddess of Flowers has horns which makes her closer to a demon in design but not nature... Yet you could say Liloupar is close to how Jinn should be included the twistedness or being evil pretty much... Basically I'm wondering if there is irony with the wings. But back on point, I don't think any text says Shirin died. Another interesting thing is Shirin poisoned all those people with honey apparently but can't honey be like Ambrosia? Nectar of the gods, or maybe knowledge? Also her son "falling" into the Abyss can't be just he stumbled on it... Oh the other hand I don't know why she'd want revenge against Celestia unless she was also driven mad... Anyway these are just some mish mash theories but the whole Liloupar, Gurabad etc story fascinates me.
These videos are why I love Genshin. The world building is very deep. I see the main plot as a story I get to play, with lots of well done foreshadowing.
Adding on to this. Let's say Crepus was the 10th Harbinger, but now that spot is vacant. Hear me out: "Sorry... to also have you shoulder the grievances of the world." "Since you could endure my bitter cold, you must have the desire to burn?" "Then, burn away the old world for me." - Shivada Jade Gemstone Description What if the Traveler will eventually be assigned a role in the Fatui Harbingers among their ranks. So far, most of the Gemstone Descriptions seem to reflect the stories within the nations that the Gemstones' elements were based off on. Maybe, upon visiting Snezhnaya, there will come a point where the Traveler will work with the Harbingers to do **something**, and be temporarily assigned a Harbinger seat. In a sense, the Traveler will "be a traitor" to whatever destiny Fate has assigned them. I feel like they need to introduce a very convincing enough reason for the Traveler to even think about joining the Harbingers.
IMO, it's even harder to make convincing reason for Paimon to join force with the Fatui. She has very black and white morality (even more than the Traveller, I think) and sometimes is too dumb for her own good (like insulting Scara when the tone is serious or questioning Traveller's decision when they decided to work with the "bad guys" (the Hoarders/the Fatui)
that doesnt make sense... 😂the spot CANT BE VACANT... remember by this logic.. ranks 2-11 where vacant.. then dotteiro joined cleary the oldest besides perrio so taht means 3-11 where vacant.. aka the logic requires there where 11 seats from the start.. there where 10 harbinger at one point.. then later 11 when childe joined.. does this mean seat 11 was vacant before childe joined?
@@InanisNihil maybe 10th is reserved for someone else. Specifically a person Pierro is looking for perhaps. But i don't think the Traveller fits in the 10th spot, he/she is too powerful for that.
@@hmstransit909 I agree with this, which is why I think something really REALLY drastic will happen around Natlan that will convince Traveler and Paimon to team up with the Fatui. If rumors are to be believed, we will face off against Capitano in Natlan - one of the "noblest" of the Harbingers.
Now that the hand of glory has been confirmed to be associated to Arlecchino I wonder if this theory merits revisiting? The logic on the other characters seemed solid, maybe it would be interesting to think about this from a new angle now that we have more information
Crepus being potentially a missing Harbinger and Mrs. Ragnvindr potentially being part of the Hexenzirkel is such a fun theory. Diluc literally living the protagonist life Also, now that Fontaine is here and Arleccino is potentially going to appear in the Arhcon quest, it seems that the order of Harbingers we'll fight stays true!
11:59 By the way, "Angel's share" is a term used among Scottish whiskey distilleries to call the 2-3 % spirits loss trough evaporation while resting on barrel by law to at least 4 years before whiskey can be blended and sold, the wood barrel does have pours that allow for a bit of "breathing" and trough this some liquid evaporate and is lost, this amount is called " Angel's share"
So it seems very likely that we ARE fighting the Fatui in the order of the constellation wheel, seeing as Arlecchino is next. That's actually really cool. Columbina will then be in Natlan, followed by Capitano in Snezhnaya? With Pierro being the final boss before Celestia. Curious as to whether we'll actually end up fighting the Tsaritsa in the end. I'm also curious as to whether Columbina and Capitano will be playable eventually or go the way of La Signora. As for Arlecchino - I'm going to put my own narrative vibes here because I don't know what else to do with the brainrot - since she has the hand of glory and is a playable character, she's obviously going to betray the Fatui. She's super protective over her orphans, and I do think she cares for them legitimately if she went out of her way to get revenge for Lynette. If she only cared for them with the purpose of turning them into spies, why would she get revenge on their behalf? She could have saved them and been done with it. I wonder if her upcoming story is going to be something like the kids are in danger and Dottore is at the heart of it. He clearly doesn't care about the welfare of children (poor Collei) so it would make sense that he would overstep her boundaries. If not that, I still think Dottore is involved and is her/our antagonist. Maybe the structure of the story will be we go up against Pantalone, but once he's out of the way we find that Dottore still had a huge hand in the problem. Although my expectations about how the archon quests will turn out are *always* wrong so I'm wondering how wrong I'll be, lmao. I think my own guess is actually too simple and Hoyo never goes from point A to B without a curvy AF path in-between. Going off the patterns of previous lore - what if Arlecchino isn't the only version of herself, just like Dottore isn't just one person anymore? That seems like the Hoyo thing to do, ehe.
honestly theorys like these are my favourite, ones that likely aren't gonna be canon but still have enough to them to be plausible and a cool twist if it were true. This was such a fun one!
Amazing video as always! I find it so cool how we both started with similar ideas on the Missing Harbinger, then went completely different ways. I love the idea that Crepus was involved with the Fatui, especially with him being a traitor, explaining how the 10th seat being empty isn't talked about. That's the one part I couldn't really find a good explanation for. I do think that Arlecchino is the Hand of Glory instead, with the missing one being the Mask. I also find it funny that we both thought about Brighella, but again took it different ways. I'm just hoping for either Pierro, Capitano, or Arlecchino's ranks to be confirmed so I don't keep wondering if one is missing in the end or not lmao
Intriguing ideas regardless if each ends up true. I wonder if the traitor's hand constellation could instead refer to the opposite as presented here. Instead of being someone that betrayed the Harbingers, it could be a character that is actively in a position of power outside the Harbingers that will betray society for the Harbingers once the time comes. I could see this being Hoyo's style to have some character that is close to the Traveler but not playable betray us for the Harbinger's ends. Or maybe... this is the character that gets others to betray themselves. This could be the character that pulls the Traveler into helping the Fatui late game. Great thought experiment. Thanks for this one.
This. Also based on marcomeatball, pulcinella in the theatre is someone that knows how to manipulate people. I wont put it past him to lie about tart regarding his family.
BRO I WOULD LOVE IF CREPUS WAS A FATUI HARBINGER!!! LIKE AHHH THAT WOULD GIVE SO MUCH CHARACTER TO DILUC!!! I already love Diluc’s character, but I love when Hoyo gives lore to Mondstat characters since Mondstat’s seen as the “happy go lucky region” of Teyvat even though most of the characters are hella depressed
Considering last quest with Scara I'm ready to believe this. Could be someone who could have also altered knowledge of Teyvat. I don't know if Crepus has capability to do this since we don't know much about him. But I guess closest when we find more information about harbingers when Dottore or whoever could be next harbinger we will fight, appear more in the story
Here's a thought that might be worth considering: What if the Fatui logo (which seems to differ from Snezhnaya's own iconography) is based on Pierro's own constellation? That would validate the idea of including both his and the missing Harbinger's constellation on the same display without anything being replaced, and it would also suggest every action committed by the Fatui has the Jester's implicit approval, since it would basically be done in his name. Thing is, what does that particular image supposed to symbolize? While it does seem like a stylized representation of Phanes and the Four Shades, the fact that the outcome of the War of the Two Thrones has been all but disclosed (By the Flower of Lost Paradise set) would imply the target of both the Fatui and Abyss Order is the same as that of the Second who Came: the Primoridial One and/or the Four Shades.
This is a little detail I noticed in the winter night's lazzo video- On all the Harbingers' outfits, there is a diamond shaped crystal hanging from the Fatui emblem that is pinned onto their coats. I assume that this is the conventional attire for an official gathering such as Signora's funeral, but here's the interesting part- The colour of the crystal is different for everyone. What's more interesting is that it seems to get lighter as the ranks go up. For example, Childe being the eleventh Fatui Harbinger has a dark red crystal, while Arlecchino has a red but almost black crystal, followed by Pantalone, Sandrone, Capitano, Pulcinella, Columbina, Dottore and Pierro whose crystals are varying shades of blue (Not necessarily in that order because the lighting in the trailer isn't very helpful). I think that these are sort of like how badges are used in the army to denote your position in the hierarchy. We don't really see any of this on Crepus (because even if he was a Harbinger who was undercover why would he go around wearing the emblem) so I don't know if we can really ascertain his ranking to be the 10th seat. But yeah this is something I noticed in general and found quite interesting
20:12 Actually, it would kinda make sense if Arlecchino has "beef" with Crepus. The little we know about her from side quests or voice lines tell us how she likes to have everything under her control and despises traitors, making every fatui we've seen from House of Heart afraid that if they'll escape, she'll come after them. If Crepus were to be a traitor to the organization, it would really make sense that she despises him.
was curious to see how this held up after arle's release, with her being the fourth, the one we fought, AND the owner of the constellation speculated upon here. weirdly, makes it even more likely that pierre isn't counted as a harbinger, but also ..... who would then be attributed to the crying mask... also interested to see if the battle order continues to follow the wheel (although i think a columbina clash anytime soon is unlikely). lots to chew on even this much later, thank you for sharing!
I know the Traveler hates the Fatui as much as Diluc does, but in order to talk to Tsarista, Traveler might leave Paimon behind to become a Fatui Harbinger, filling in the missing 10th spot as Innamorati, the Lover. That's my theory of the story in the Snezhnaya Archon Quest.
we are just at the sumeru chapter and the traveler is already at least as powerful as scara in base form. arrived at snezaya it will be at least as powerful as 1 siege of the 11 since the power of the traveler increases exponentially. it wouldn't make sense for him to become the 10th given his power
"Innamorati" is a plural form, and the Traveler would most likely go by a singular form which is "Innamorato" UNLESS he/she and Paimon will be treated as one harbinger which is entirely possible
I also believe this. Either us, or the other sibling is a secret harbinger, like a double spy of some sort. Also, don't think the nation of cryo will let us enter that easily, so in order to talk to Tsaritsa, we will become one of the fatui.
I think that the crying mask at the very top (above the wheel) represents Pierro himself, while the symbol at 12 o'clock represents the Harbingers (like a seal/proof of them being Harbingers of Snezhnaya). That's why they all wear that seal in the Winter Night's Lazzo trailer. I doubt they would publish anything associated with the Tsaritsa herself yet.
One of childe’s voicelines gives hint to childe wishing to take over the world *on his own* and the main person who gets in his way from achieving this would be the tsaritsa and her entire band of harbingers. The thing his constellation faces on the wheel of harbingers is worn on the coats of a few harbingers and also most likely represents the tsarista like you said. So it might represent his beef with the entire circle haha.
True lol. He’s also said he “doesn’t really care who wins” - the Fatui or their enemies - since he’s “just a pawn”, and insinuates that he only took the job to provide for his family
Dude is really confusing, first he claims how he oh so loyal to the Tsaritsa and judging by the way he talks about her, Childe holds her in high regard but then in other voice lines he talks about wanting to overthrow all the gods and stand on top of the hierarchy...like what?his vagueness is killling me fr
@@cherise2773 Maybe he wants to dominate the world for the Tsaritsa... Maybe childe knows Tsaritsa's pain or burden hence why he wants to dominate the world for her so that he can take off the burden out of her.
@@tulayyildiz6993 you don’t have to hate someone to admit they get in the way of your goal. To childe, its probably nothing personal. He’s just gotta do what he’s gotta do. Doesn’t mean he hates her. But from the demo and his voicelines, it seems the only people he has somewhat of a liking towards is tsaritsa and capitano. (Though capitano is more of high earned respect due to combat capabilities) The harbinger elf who takes care of his family is also one he seems to like and overly trusts to his own detriment.
I love this theory, unfortunately I think they’ll go with the most logical, according to commedia, Pierrot=crying mask and Arlecchino=glory hand. But that would be a cool twist
For me I always assume that Crepus have a bigger part in the story of genshin then we think he does other then be a device for Diluc edgy story. There many questions left unanswered by him that may actually uncover many more answers and also questions of the fatui and maybe even more… maybe even khaenri'ah!! I say khaenri'ah because I still find it odd of all the places Kaeya father could had left Kaeya at, he chose a random winery… there must be a reason behind it for sure, Hoyovers always have a reason in every detail they have no matter how small or silly it is.
I really like this theory and it actually makes a lot of sense even with the "holes" mentioned at the end, but the fact of Pierro not being mentioned as an outright Harbinger may be the biggest clue I think. Another thing I noticed that may be a little crazy is that while you mentioned that the hand of glory is usually the left one, in the fatui constellation it looks like a right hand instead.. but idk, it still seems like it could be from Crepus, since he also uses fire and stuff like the candle hand itself. PS: It's really fun that you're using more characters to "act out" your videos, like Kuki and now Kaeya ^^
Fontaine is next so I'm hoping the we get to see either dotore or sandrone (with the whole Fontaine and mechanics theme going on). Or they could surprise us with capitano considering we don't really know what's underneath his mask 🤔🤨
If I remember correctly from the Mondstadt event, where we made wine barrel for Razor, Varka's letter did mentioned he was in expedition with Capitano in Natlan so, I don't think we'll see him anytime soon.
I didn't know his theme was more Natlan based 😅. I was just going based off his astheic (empty armor that contains the husk of a past warrior, kinda like scara puppet)
If this theory is true, imagine how Diluc felt that day. Basically, his life is a lie. People he cherished the most is part of his enemies. And then to lose both at the same time, didn't even have time to process all that.
I agree with this theory both from the evidence and other reasons. It never made sense to me for Arlecchino to be 10th based on how she interacted with the other harbingers, and this just gets further backing from every time we see the harbinger order presented in voice lines along with how she is talked about. People try to counter Arlecchino being 4th by using the voicelines of her underlings from that 1 world quest where they say they want to raise her prestige, but prestige =/= rank, so we don't actually know what was being referenced. Also if we fight Arlecchino it wouldn't make sense to go from recently fighting Scaramouche at rank 6 to Arlecchino if she was only rank 10. Also, people seem to forget that Childe is a very very new harbinger, there could've originally been only 9 harbingers and they were looking for a 10th(or some other shenanigans with the 10th seat, but before Childe if there was no one in the 10th seat it wouldn't really be viewed as missing a spot even if they wanted to fill it), but then Childe came along, so and they made him seat 11 which could explain the weirdness around Childe's seat number and why he gets mocked for it. Leaks: Leaks state that the order Ashikai presented is the correct order, 10th seat is indeed empty.
I absolutely love everything about this theory !! As someone who was lucky enough to preform as Brighella in a rendition of the Commedia dell'arte it makes me very happy to see !! Although there is one thing that was bothering me about the idea of Brighella being in the game because he's "the only missing masked character," which simply is not true. There are notably 5 stock characters that are missing from the Harbingers, The innamorati (the lovers, essentially the main characters of the commedia), Pedrolino (one of the first Zanni/servant characters), Gianduja (another Zanni/servant character) and of course Brighella. The innamorati and Pedrolino could be explained for not having Harbinger counterparts because they are not explicitly masked characters. BUT both Gianduja and Brighella are masked characters that have no Harbinger equivalents, Perhaps there is a Gianduja 13th Harbinger running around somewhere lol, I suppose we'll just have to wait and see !!
Just hearing the casual phrase of THE Diluc Ragnvindr being SUCH a menace to an organization that he was BANNED FROM A COUNTRY is just purely wild to me.
I have one more candidate for the mystery harbinger. Jianxue(or whatever his name is), the guy who keeps fishing near the Wangshu Inn. He is said to be tooo powerful, even able to take down a ruin hunter faster than traveller could even see. Childe had to use a lot of power to defeat some ruin guards, and that was completely trackable by traveller. It is safe to assume that a ruin hunter is more powerful than ruin guard. ANd jianxue defeats it faster than traveller can even see what happens. That particular ruin hunter is cannonically too strong for even the traveller. Even jianxue himself said taht he did some bad things when he had his vision, etc. So he quit that life after doing one last thing that he had to do. So its either he was associated with some bandits or treasure hoarders...OR the fatui themselves.
There is a Fatui namecard with a mask on it. It has a single tear also, it must symbolize the entire faction. So I think it's possible this large mask above is just another general symbol of Fatui.
I'm pretty sure the crying mask is actually Pulcinella's (real world Pulcinella masks have big noses and are often either glaring or upset), which if the other currently unconfirmed ones are correct leaves the healing hand as the 10th seat. Notably about the healing hand constellation is that the fingers are detached, which isn't a universal part of the symbol that I could find, let alone the 'one finger only being detached at the finger tip' thing. Tinfoil hat time, but now we have Mavuika, a probable phoenix named after a goddess who was robbed of both fire and her fingernails. I hardly need to elaborate on the Ragnvindr-phoenix-fire association. So maybe, if you stretch really far on the conspiracy board, that could be more evidence that Crepus was the missing harbinger (& that the Ragnvindrs are connected to whatever's going on with the whole Children of Murata thing). Most of the constellations don't have that much narrative nuance though, so it's probably just a design choice and not actually that deep even if I am right about the hand being Crepus. I am fairly confident that Pulcinella is the mask and not the hand at least.
When you said "maybe Crepus had ties with the abyss order" that reminded me of the realization that all the harbingers I've seen so far that we know enough backstory of, has relations to the abyss order or just hate the gods.
I thought it was pretty odd for Diluc's father to have a Delusion, so I like the idea of him being a (former) member of the Fatui. Otherwise, the simplest assumption is that he stole it or something, but then you'd have to ask, "When? Where? From whom?" It doesn't really give us any answers either, so him being involved with them, at least to some degree, makes a lot of sense.
i just found something in fontaine that made me think of this theory in fontaine there's a series of quests called "good stuff, but terrible taste". tl;dr is that you run into this little girl/artist named salsa and you help her rearrange puzzles so they look nicer and don't ruin the scenery. in the 5th encounter with her, after you've fixed the puzzle, you talk to her and she suggests making an organization to stop the adventurers guild from ruining the scenery with their puzzles. in this dialogue she dubs you and paimon members 1 and 2 of the organization, and paimon says "but if we're members number one and two, then what about you, salsa?" and salsa responds with "I'm the founder, so of course I'm number zero!" (you can find a full transcript of the quest on the genshin wiki) theres probably not actually a connection there but it's certainly interesting
Guess what? This ranking speculation is perfectly in line with recent insider leaks on Harbinger ranking. Nice observation and deduction! We have long thought Pierro to be No. 1 but he was actually the Director, and there is indeed an empty seat for a very long time according to the leaks
What if Kaeya, a known espionage agent, is the tenth? What if he is another Commedia character- or what if he is the Jester’s “understudy” and therefore he represents the mask of tragedy in the lineup. It would explain their similarities without necessarily confirming the “Pierro is his dad” theory. And it would likely further that the Jester is more in this for avenging Khaenri’ah or out of spite than for taking down Celestia and the “Old world” for justice. ETA- The more I think about it, the more “understudy” fits Kaeya so well. In theater, understudies are reserved for major characters to ensure that their part is allowed to continue if the main actor is unable to continue the show- but it isn’t really “their role”. They are often technical crew, background characters, or chorus members (who are often the omniscient or omnipresent entities who further the narrative) so that they have use and reason to watch from the sidelines (so if they take up a new role, their absence in their previous role goes unnoticed) and learn their role by watching quietly as the play unfolds. They only become the character when the original drops out. (It makes sense that Signora and Scaramouche do not have understudies- their roles are completed). Kaeya is essentially written in canon as a sidelined character awaiting direction to take up his role which he has been training for since childhood. He’s a known watcher from the shadows and method actor who constantly wears a smiling mask despite being a very sad and tragic character. He dresses like a theatrical character in flashy and caricaturistic (and impractical) cavalry captain garb despite there BEING NO CAVALRY. It’s “bad comedy.” His clan being historically regents- are LITERALLY “understudies” for the crown. His role as Cavalry Captain- he’s an “understudy” for Diluc who left the position. The Golden Apple Archipelago arc? He was an “understudy of an understudy” for Acting Grand Master Jean. Kaeya has no individual role to play. But he is VERY good at picking up the roles of others. His constellations tie into the act of performing. And his ties to Khaenri’ah, the Abyss, and his “friendliness” with the treasure hoarders AND Fatui (what with buying them exorbitant dinners and drinks) shows he’s got his eyes and ears in every pot. And aside from when he is actively pursuing a target, he’s rather non-antagonistic with them, instead opting to either put on an act or get them talking while the “main cast” acts on it. (The first time meeting an abyss mage comes to mind). He’s watching, listening, LEARNING. Directors and background characters do not take center stage. His character quest (and also Jeans and Diluc’s) also shows he is quite skilled at “directing” a cast of characters in the way he anticipates to get the results he wants without much attention being brought to him. If his constellation links him to Argus- the hundred/thousand eyed god who watches over the eternal garden of paradise and the apple of chaos (overlapping Greek and Christian mythology themes-in MY Genshin?- love it) who had his eyes plucked (give the man an eyepatch… or hundred…) by the thief god Hermes (the thrice great, messenger and envoy of the heavens, god of thieves (treasure hoarders), travelers, alchemy, astrology…) and placed in the feathers of peacocks- AND the Jackdaw (a possible namesake of “Kaeya”) who dresses in stolen/borrowed Peacock’s feathers (which btw, peacocks are often directly tied to Phoenixes either in being modeled after their beauty or stealing their feathers- Diluc is representative of a burning Phoenix), it makes sense Kaeya would be a constant watcher of all unfolding events (he’s learning his potential role). Actually, in this vein, Kaeya may represent Heimdall, son of Odin and the eternal watcher of the path to the heavens… All seeing, all hearing… slain by Loki the trickster half-jötunn in Ragnarok… A loose theory, but an interesting one. Good lord I love this character’s nuance so gosh darn much.
@@vincikeeper1581 In this theory, that wouldn’t matter much. He’s essentially “adopting” the role- and therefore representing the constellation and the duties of the original seat holder. He would be continuing the original’s role, not taking up his own.
revisiting the video now; seems like the hand of glory IS "Father"'s constellation AND The Jester is not one of the 11, we are missing a constellation and that constellation might have been the one originally being right of the Fatui insignia on the wheel, that way all pairs would fit. ignoring Dottore's constellation for now, we have religious+political symbols (nails, scepter), tears (the mask, the dove), hands (the spiral thingy, the hand of glory), puppets (marionette, scara) and animals (moth, whale) your supposed Brighella being a traitor would fit the symbol to be purged and the theme of make pretend (as the pest doctors often weren't even doctors)
The counterclockwise theory seems to be checking out since it's confirmed that Arlecchino's constellation is the hand and that we're fighting her in patch 4.6... Which means we'll be fighting Columbina not Capitano next
At 18:13 if we look at pierro we can see his "button" on his left shoulder looking like the symbel at the top of the harbinger constellation wheel. So there are 12 constellations and his being the top one may mean that he isnt a "ranked" harbinger.
it should be diluc's father Crepus, beside other clue like harbinger of dawn, winery, delusion, etc. but because diluc(his son) join a secret unknown organization that is against the Fatui(hence traitor). That secret organization might be his hand writing and such thing...
I think the most logical explanation is that Pierro is not a part of the ranking. He is the founder of the Harbringers, him not on the list makes sense.
19:27 this seems a bit weird to correspond harbingers along these lines. There’s the symbol in the center, but its points don’t exactly point to constellations on the outside edge. If you’re looking at actual opposite sides, it should be that the doll opposes the orb cross thingie (between sad mask and plague mask), for example. I like this theory a lot, the detail about Crepus’ delusion being on a glove was an “oh shit” moment.
Dang, the twist with Hoyo giving Dottore the plague doctor mask as his constellation in the most obvious and typical way, will have you repeating Hoyo liking to do the obvious and predictable things for the rest of the game's runtime huh? 💀😂
I don't think it's "boring and predictable" because good foreshadowing are those that readers (or players) can pick up. Twist is good, but if it's too far-fetched then it's just going to be subverting expectation for the sake of it, in my opinion. That's why signora's identity reveal is so satisfying, no?
@@valeriekim4209 Huh to be honest, it's been so long that I don't even remember myself, or maybe I don't remember cause perhaps there really was no confirmation 💀 so I rewatched the video to see how Ashikai came to that conclusion The debate between people was Dottore either had the plague doctor mask or the Globus Cruciger aka the cross on an orb. Ashikai gave the Globus to Pantalone, with the most convincing point being that he wears a ring with literally that symbol. So that leaves the next most convincing constellation to be the plague doctor mask for Dottore. Though she did also give the healing hand constellation to Pulcinella. Perhaps it could, *maybe* just maybe, fit Dottore since he's a doctor, someone that can *heal*, and so instead the "Plague doctor" would go to Pulcinella, but honestly that seems a little too far stretched for me. After all, we know Dottore ain't the "helps people" kind of doctor xdd
@@protagkun8859 oh how I love this community for being ready to hop right back into a 3-month-old discussion XD. So my initial problem was that in this video Ashikai just straight up suggested that the plague doctor mask IS Dottore’s constellation. Like it’s a fact. No habitual rigorous argumentation, no nothing. And in her previous harbingers prediction video still sits prettily a pinned comment, where she stands by Dottore’s const to be the globus. I never saw an actual confirmation, so I went to check for myself … and basically all that I found is that his collar looks like the plague doctor’s mask. Which is fair, however, it also still bears resemblance to Rooster (glasses + beaked nose + those things actual roosters have bobbing down their cheeks) and frankly, it’s not like any other character in game brandishes their const in such an obvious manner. So all in all, if that really is all the info we have for today, I’m gonna stand by the globus for him.
It’s simple. The missing harbinger is the harbinger of dawn (3 star sword)

OMG DILUC FONTAINE BOSS FIGHT? 😮
@@thurenspascal1581 yep although hoyo has not shown anything between those 3 yet (or ever knowing them and making cannon relationships in genshin lol); some version of the commedia turn the columbina/pierro/arlecchino love triangle into a love-square with columbina acting VERY flirty-touchy with capitano when her other 2 lovers are close, with other versions even having capitano & columbina 2 as the innamorati instead of signora, i'm very interested to see what hoyo will do with these 4 relationships lol
there's also a flame on the hand of glory, and arlecchino literally runs "the house of the hearth" (though the crying mask also fits... who knows)
Does anyone else think that Childe is like 70% more intimidating in those clothes? Like the clothes are doing all the heavy lifting here, I mean I love the vibe but like it’s just the clothes right? Or is this just a me thing?

I think its practically confirmed that there is a missing harbinger, since Arlecchino is now confirmed to be the 4th. Pierro has to be the Director and not the 1st because Capitano has be ranked higher. Capitano can't be the 10th because Childe said the Captain was ranked too high for him to notice Childe.
I think I found the mistranslated script that caused a lot of misunderstanding.
Tartaglia words on Pierro in English:
He was the first ever fatui Harbinger, and today he's our leader.
The original Chinese script:
他是愚人众最初的执行官,也是今日执行官们的领袖..
Proper translation:
He is the first ever Harbinger of the Fatui, and nowadays he's ALSO the leader of the Harbingers.
Well, I can see Crepus being the missing Harbinger, it might explain the constant closeness between Mondstadt and Snezhnaya both in the comic and in the game plot
For a sec i thought crepus was some random npc
I don't think so considering how much Diluc hates the Fatui, and with how good he is at intelligence gathering and spying you'd think he knew his father was a harbinger
@@Cappy_Cat well, he might hate them precisely because he learned that his father belonged to them AFTER they just killed him for whatever reason. After all, Diluc didn't know his own father that well, and he remembers him as someone kinda far from him (remember the Of Drink a Dreaming event)
Edit: also, Diluc receives his Vision after using his father's delusion and getting rid of it, as it can be seen as a way to cut ties with that part of his family's past and to declare the definite war on the Fatui
My personal brainrot is that Columbina is Fishl, as in the person both Flowers for Princess Fishl, The Legendary Halberd and (maybe) Mina of a fallen Nation are based on.
i'd go with princess fischl than fischl/amy when it comes to having connections with the fatui. that book was just so sus. and with the irminsul in the picture, i wouldn't be surprised if the fatui leitmotif was foreshadowing princess fischl's connections to the fatui or the tsarista
what is it with monstadt characters and each one of them being involved with something and someone in teyvat
I read somewhere that the book "Flowers for Princess Fischl" could be based on Rosalyne or Signora. I think Fischl's demo had similarities in her ost that can be heard in Signora's boss theme. But I could be wrong.
The biggest brainrot theory I ever have had in Genshin comes about because of this (TLDR at the end for those who see this and don't want to read everything)
Flowers Vol.

Everytime I hear the number 12, as a czech person, especially if its a group of 12 people I can't help but think of the czech fairytale about the 12 months/moons from Božena Němcovás fairytale collection
how is the story of this fairytale?
@Blaze do you mean with the harbingers specifically??
@Blaze So far for the Harbingers the only big things were their seats and Pierro’s role as the founder of the Harbingers. I believe another had to do with which members were recruited by Pierro .(i’ll have to look more into this one)
Another localization thing I still see around is the Twins being minors when they are actually at least one thousand years old and that they are of the divine not mortal
I think the biggest difference is context for both, they relatively mean the same thing. But 神明 leans more towards “god” and 魔神 leans more towards demon. There are other things
I’d have to look through my notes
(Sorry my English isn’t great, does this make sense??)
@@Hyopomora Oh the twins being minors isn't a localization error, it's a misunderstanding. They just look young so a lot of people took that as their chronological age because it matches their physical age.

These characters mean
秘密secret; clandestine; confidential;

新兵new recruit, recruit,rookie
首席seat of honour; chief; the first place
大人 adult; grown-up;

The translation of this: 請務必盡快撤離,將尋回『內森」秘密報告的稻妻新兵交予首席執行官大人
Is “Please be sure to evacuate as soon as possible, and hand over to the General the recruit who found "Nathan" and secretly reported it.”
It’s a bit rough for English but I hope it makes some sense
@Blaze it translates to “Overseer” “Director” “executive”
I like counting Harbingers from 0 to 11. 0 being Pierro and 11 being Tartaglia of course because that way all major tarot arcanas fit each harbinger
where can i find more details about this?
Reversed doesn’t offer as many traits I feel could be argued, barring two: nullity and apathy.
we don't know much about Pierro, so I'm not sure if the fool would fit him, but if the theories about he being from khaenri'eh are right, it would kinda fit
captano being the magician can make sense
dottore being the high priestess is REALLY odd to me, but I guess it's because you might think since he want to make a god and the high priestess is a priestess it makes sense, but the card of the hierophant is more related to god than the high priestess
columbina as the empress makes some sense
arlecchino as the emperor also makes sense (specially with lyney and lynette calling her as father)
pulcinella being the hierophant makes sense to me, he is the prefect of snezhnaya as far as I know, he is there to protect the others and guide the way
scaramouche being the lovers make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE, don't even try to argue, if someone should be the lovers, it had to be at least la signora or someone with more duality
sandrone I don't know much, but she being the chariot isn't impossible
la signora as the justice... it doesn't fit well... she is a bit blind by her emotions, she being the justice is not a good fit
pantalone being the hermit is kinda interesting, specially because he is not favored by the gods (visionless) so he is in a way alone, just like a hermit, also hermit knows a deep truth, hidden... and well, so does pantalone, after all he has the world in his hand without any actual power, only by the power of money
if the missing fatui is really diluc's father, I can understand he being the wheel of fortune, after all it's about destiny and circles repeating, like a fatui killing people and then him himself being killed by them and his son now hating fatuis just like one day he started to, since he left
childe being strength for who doesn't know about arcanas makes completely sense, but no... strength talks about the true power in the reasoning and thinking that is strong enough to tame a beast, a lion... childe is a muscle brain, he is not a good fit for the strength card
I'm kinda sad that if that was somehow true, none of them would be some of the most interesting arcanas like hangedman, tower, star, moon, judgement, world and my favorite, death, death arcana is literally the most interesting arcana, it doesn't talk about the end, but about a new start, the death arcana is the symbol of rebirth, the symbol of ending something is actually the world
@@TnsfFun most of these issues in sites might be wrong translations and the only arcana that actually change places is the fool, who can be either the 0 (first) or the 22 (last), but really, popess is just a shitty translation and if someone has to be a pope, it has to be the hierophant
"Happily identifies as a monster"
I'm not that far into quests and idk if it's a quote, but it feels like complete truth😭
HAHAHAAHA THAT PART MADE ME SNORT
i think i remember Childe’s voice lines about Arleccino being along the lines of her being a traitor, or willing to betray the Fatui for her own ends. That would make the Traitor/ Hand of Glory constellation being Arleccino make more sense. 20:25
Yes but the crying mask also represents being double-faced.
@@imnotreanalbertospynotatal6968 Though the mask can also just be Pierro given his codename as the Jester.
Edit. The crying mask in theater also represents tragedy which could relate to his origins.
@@imnotreanalbertospynotatal6968 the mask would work with crepus as well! Imo the Knave & crepus are both interchangeable with these constellations
I feel like one day we will know of this in a Autumn patch / around Dorman port or Snezhnahya
+ edit: fun fact, I am Italian and Brighella in Italian literally means something like, “marachella”, an old way to say “little chaos” or something children would do
20:09 Another description of Brighella's character is that "he's basically Arlecchino's smarter and more vindicitive brother/counterpart".
(Also the blood injury is due to this right hand being rip off, and no injury on his left side)
So I think the theory can be solid here. The right hand is taken / torn off symbolizing this constellation, same as the shape for the fatui constellation using the right hand (possibility using right hand instead of left one to throw off theory connecting to the Hand of Glory? maybe)
HOLY SHIT THE WAY I *RAN* TO THE MANGA LMFAO
After 4.2, Arlecchino is number 4, so Capitano HAS TO BE 1, cuz like Childe says how Capitano is so beyond him in rank and strength, if the rank represent strength, capitano can't be 10th, so there might actually be a 10th missing fatui, and Diluc's father makes a lot of sense actually, the crack theory is pretty good
Another thing if we count Tsarista into it we get 12 which is the exact number on a clock. Pretty eerie if you think on it.
And this round with arrows in center really look like a clock
@@_3ero_241 Its really spooky. I have photoshop so i took the Harbinger clock and aligned the hands to different points based on what happened so far and got different times on the clock with Tsarista being Noon/Midnight. It was very very eerie.
it would be hysterical if Capitano ends up being Alphonse Elric
at this point i wouldn't put it past them at all (and then we get the whole talk about equivalent exchange and how his soul is bound to a pile of metal)
I definitely wouldn’t complain.
Fishing Jiangxue!
Lol I remember him! He's so strange and I wonder who he's really
For spoilers, "Dottore used a disguise too"
@@thexingqiushrimp978 right I didn't even think about that
Krepus "having beef" with Arlecchino does make sense though. Arlecchino is the one who hunts traitors to the Fatui, and if Krepus was a Fatui Harbinger that betrayed the others, then Arlecchino would be the one hunting him down, no?
That sound sus lol
What I find interesting about Crepus is that in the manga (if I remember it right) we never actually see his whole face/ his eyes specifically. Doesn't prove anything, I just found it a bit strange because we see the eyes of basically every other person in the manga.
this aged like fine wine seeing arlecchino is no 4 it does mean that no 1 is capitano
He may not be the Hand of Glory, but Crepus still isn't beating the Harbinger allegations
welp, so turns out the hand of glory is Arlecchino’s. now question is which the missing constellation is
I was searching for this comment now as arlecchino is about to be released.
That kinda sounds like what happened to teppei and he died from a delusion so he had contact with the fatui I think
If there's actually a missing Harbinger, I can see The Tsaritsa appointing someone new to join them
Also, I'm still confused whether low-ranked Harbinger can climb their way up (especially to fill the empty number spot) or if fallen Harbinger's number (like Signora's No. 8) will be retired just like in sports as an honor
according to the current information we are "missing" the 10th, missing as in they exist but we have 0 idea of how he or she looks or what does he/she does; hoyo probably gonna make the 10th into a spy so in some region we will get surprised as the new friend we made is in truth the 10th harbinger and we are getting attacked, betrayed or kidnapped by him/her; basically a better "friendly tartaglia act" chlde pulls at the beggining of liyue just this time we have no idea it's a fatui we are getting chummy with
i'd be down if the fatui chooses to recruit us for the potential missing spot lol
@@matheusbianquincera3104 is this true or a theory you take as fact?
That's actually a very good theory.
The "opposing spots" in the wheel is a bit off, but what if we fight Crepus via Leyline memories somehow?
Adding on to this. Let's say Crepus was the 10th Harbinger, but now that spot is vacant. Hear me out:
"Sorry... to also have you shoulder the grievances of the world."
"Since you could endure my bitter cold, you must have the desire to burn?"
"Then, burn away the old world for me."
- Shivada Jade Gemstone Description
What if the Traveler will eventually be assigned a role in the Fatui Harbingers among their ranks.
@@InanisNihil clearly you haven't watched the video yet....
All of this is speculative
Diluc literally living the protagonist life
Also, now that Fontaine is here and Arleccino is potentially going to appear in the Arhcon quest, it seems that the order of Harbingers we'll fight stays true!
Yooooow.. 4.1 revealed Arleccino is indeed the 4th rank...this is so spot on...😮
The idea of crepus being the 10th is so interesting. I hope it’s true🥲
OMG the theory that Diluc's father is one of the Fatui sent shivers down my spine!!!
Couldn't Pulcinella also be the two faced one? Childe seems to trust him with the protection of his family, but Scaramouche thinks otherwise.
I really think the hand is Arlecchino's constellation, and she is def gonna end up as a traitor.
This comment aged very well
Considering last quest with Scara I'm ready to believe this. Could be someone who could have also altered knowledge of Teyvat. I don't know if Crepus has capability to do this since we don't know much about him. But I guess closest when we find more information about harbingers when Dottore or whoever could be next harbinger we will fight, appear more in the story
This aged incredibly well
Here's a thought that might be worth considering:
What if the Fatui logo (which seems to differ from Snezhnaya's own iconography) is based on Pierro's own constellation?
That would validate the idea of including both his and the missing Harbinger's constellation on the same display without anything being replaced, and it would also suggest every action committed by the Fatui has the Jester's implicit approval, since it would basically be done in his name.
Thing is, what does that particular image supposed to symbolize? While it does seem like a stylized representation of Phanes and the Four Shades, the fact that the outcome of the War of the Two Thrones has been all but disclosed (By the Flower of Lost Paradise set) would imply the target of both the Fatui and Abyss Order is the same as that of the Second who Came: the Primoridial One and/or the Four Shades.
surprise!Fishl is the 12th harbinger cause she shares the same leitmotif as the harbingers in one of her themes :3
Yeah the 12th of the 11 fatui harbingers 💀💀
Leaving this here when your Hand of Glory theory comes true with Arlecchino in Fontaine.
Oh my god, you predicted Arlecchino's Ranking
Close to Diluc, no Con, Angel’s share…
The way I confidently yelled “Charles!?”💀
If Crepus were to be a traitor to the organization, it would really make sense that she despises him.
crazy to see that she was actually right a year after the theory, damn
The hand of glory ABSOLUTELY APPEARS TO APPLY TO ARLECCINO. And i really hope you come back to this when you talk about her.
was curious to see how this held up after arle's release, with her being the fourth, the one we fought, AND the owner of the constellation speculated upon here. weirdly, makes it even more likely that pierre isn't counted as a harbinger, but also ..... who would then be attributed to the crying mask... also interested to see if the battle order continues to follow the wheel (although i think a columbina clash anytime soon is unlikely). lots to chew on even this much later, thank you for sharing!
I so love this theory about Dilucs dad and want it to be true!
The missing harbinger was hiding in plain sight. Its Sandrone's puppet!
😱
yess I honestly feel like travellers gonna become an honorary harbinger too lmao since they gain a new position in every region 😂
I'm pretty sure he like the Tsaritsa but hate the other harbingers, i don't think the Tsaritsa would be a probleme for him ?
@@tulayyildiz6993 you don’t have to hate someone to admit they get in the way of your goal. To childe, its probably nothing personal. He’s just gotta do what he’s gotta do. Doesn’t mean he hates her.
But from the demo and his voicelines, it seems the only people he has somewhat of a liking towards is tsaritsa and capitano. (Though capitano is more of high earned respect due to combat capabilities)
The harbinger elf who takes care of his family is also one he seems to like and overly trusts to his own detriment.
This is a bit amusing to watch a year later now that we know the Hand of Glory is indeed Arlecchino's Con and her boss fight is coming up in a week.
My ranking: Pierro(director,not directly member) capitano-1,dottore-2,columbina-3,arrlechino-4,pulcinela-5,scaramouche-6(was),sandrone-7,la singora-8(was),pantalone-9,10-unknown(maybe vacant),Childe-11
Capitano is in Natlan, It wouldn't make sense if he goes to Fontaine randomly, especially it was a direct order from the Tsaritsa or Pierro.
If I remember correctly from the Mondstadt event, where we made wine barrel for Razor, Varka's letter did mentioned he was in expedition with Capitano in Natlan so, I don't think we'll see him anytime soon.
@@idontspeakjapanese6289 he could have already finished his mission and is in Fontaine now
Theme-wise capitano matches natlan really well so placing him in fontaine wouldn’t make any sense lmao
I didn't know his theme was more Natlan based 😅. I was just going based off his astheic (empty armor that contains the husk of a past warrior, kinda like scara puppet)
I think the Clawed Hand is Arlecchino's constellation because of her Hilichurl hands
If this theory is true, imagine how Diluc felt that day. Basically, his life is a lie. People he cherished the most is part of his enemies. And then to lose both at the same time, didn't even have time to process all that.
thats my theory that kaeya will be the one to be the harbinger for diluc in fontaine chapter
Leaks:
Leaks state that the order Ashikai presented is the correct order, 10th seat is indeed empty.
That also might be why Kaeya was left with them. At that point, Crepus was still supposedly loyal to the Fatui
I cant belive you said 'it could be, idk, arlecchino' and you where right
Just hearing the casual phrase of THE Diluc Ragnvindr being SUCH a menace to an organization that he was BANNED FROM A COUNTRY is just purely wild to me.
As a Capitano superfan the possibility that he could be amongst the Top 3 Fatui Harbingers fills me with such joy
So its either he was associated with some bandits or treasure hoarders...OR the fatui themselves.
i honestly feel like he's more likely to be some sort of adeptus tbh
SiliconOneFour did a theory video in this too, its really cool seeing the theory spread.
Where? From whom?" It doesn't really give us any answers either, so him being involved with them, at least to some degree, makes a lot of sense.
i just found something in fontaine that made me think of this theory
in fontaine there's a series of quests called "good stuff, but terrible taste". tl;dr is that you run into this little girl/artist named salsa and you help her rearrange puzzles so they look nicer and don't ruin the scenery.
in the 5th encounter with her, after you've fixed the puzzle, you talk to her and she suggests making an organization to stop the adventurers guild from ruining the scenery with their puzzles.
in this dialogue she dubs you and paimon members 1 and 2 of the organization, and paimon says "but if we're members number one and two, then what about you, salsa?" and salsa responds with "I'm the founder, so of course I'm number zero!" (you can find a full transcript of the quest on the genshin wiki)
theres probably not actually a connection there but it's certainly interesting
That Yanfei talking animation fits the narration so well
Constellation is different.
@@vincikeeper1581 In this theory, that wouldn’t matter much. He’s essentially “adopting” the role- and therefore representing the constellation and the duties of the original seat holder. He would be continuing the original’s role, not taking up his own.
@@mythogenesis4788 interesting
Ngl, harbinger ranks always made my brain hurt 😅 but I'm excited to see what the theory will be 😋🙏
revisiting the video now; seems like the hand of glory IS "Father"'s constellation AND The Jester is not one of the 11, we are missing a constellation
and
that constellation might have been the one originally being right of the Fatui insignia on the wheel, that way all pairs would fit.
ignoring Dottore's constellation for now, we have religious+political symbols (nails, scepter), tears (the mask, the dove), hands (the spiral thingy, the hand of glory), puppets (marionette, scara) and animals (moth, whale)
your supposed Brighella being a traitor would fit the symbol to be purged and the theme of make pretend (as the pest doctors often weren't even doctors)
The counterclockwise theory seems to be checking out since it's confirmed that Arlecchino's constellation is the hand and that we're fighting her in patch 4.6... Which means we'll be fighting Columbina not Capitano next
I really like to see how logic and thinking lead to new discoveries! I really respect this way!
The 10th harbinger is the friends we've made along the way
I think the most logical explanation is that Pierro is not a part of the ranking.
@@donutgenesis5542 xdd Got a grudge goin on now, I don't mind it haha I think it's funny
I don't think it's "boring and predictable" because good foreshadowing are those that readers (or players) can pick up. Twist is good, but if it's too far-fetched then it's just going to be subverting expectation for the sake of it, in my opinion. That's why signora's identity reveal is so satisfying, no?
Super sorry, but how exactly do we know that Dottore’s constellation is CONFIRMED to be the plague doctor’s mask?
@@valeriekim4209 Huh to be honest, it's been so long that I don't even remember myself, or maybe I don't remember cause perhaps there really was no confirmation 💀 so I rewatched the video to see how Ashikai came to that conclusion
The debate between people was Dottore either had the plague doctor mask or the Globus Cruciger aka the cross on an orb.
