The hard drive on my one was starting to fail. I opted to put SSD on the CD drive and boot from it. Works like a charm and use the existing HDD as a spare drive.

Cable management: come on man atleast put the optical drive cables back on the clips and not just leave it hanging.

Are you cloning the HDD and the recovery partition? Or just using a fresh install?

Incomplete video after replacing the HD you have to re-install the OS too.
