    Bro keep posting about hemi swap , I assure you there are people following. Great videos!!

    Great video and very informative. Just got done with my hemi swap about 2 weeks ago. I ended going with the GC 5.7 with the 545RFE. Overall very happy with it, had some cooling issues but otherwise fairly straightforward. Only thing I don't like is the power steering after the swap. Steering is great unless you're under 5mph, then power steering is practically non-existent.

      @@ghostlyrich I reused the pump from the GC and swapped out the valves and springs so I could reuse the factory PS line from the JK.

      Lol i haven’t done that with the ram pump yet and so far lines have been fine haha

    Anything wrong with using the 545rfe trans that my 5.7 came with out of my old daily driver durango? The chassis and suspension are mostly junk but i just replaced the heads, coils and plugs and i dont notice any transmission issues, no codes

    • @ghostlyrich
      @ghostlyrich  6 дней назад

      The problem will be finding an ecu to communicate with that transmittion as well as the vehicle side. That's why nag1 and the 8 speed is best. If you go with the 8 speed, you need to purchase the jeep speed shop kit as it comes with a module to communicate with that specific 8 speed

    • @itsasinine3337
      @itsasinine3337 6 дней назад

      @@ghostlyrich JSS Has the ECU kit for the 5.7 and 545RFE trans combo. Its an extra 250. Im also told its better to keep the Eng/Trans as a pair to further reduce errors in ECU/PCM issues. Plus im not keen on spending another few grand just for a different transmission when the one i have works perfectly fine. Even finding a nag1 or 8 speed is like trying to find a skittle in a 500 gallon drum of M&Ms.
      To further add to the questions, if i already have a fully running 5.7 as a daily driver, do i still need to get different a/c compressor? Im also hoping that i can manage to shove the Rad/Oil Cooler, Condensor and the trans(i think) oil cooler from the 5.7 Durango i have in there so i dont need to upgrade the rads/fan/etc if it physically fits, mounts can be fabricated.
      I’d also like to put a whipple supercharger on the top of the 5.7, but that shoots the air intake to the wrong side for the jeep airbox so i’d have to fabricate something to go between them so i can still install a snorkel kit that fits under the hood to be discrete when needed.
      Might need to source a Dana 44 front axle and buffed up axle / drive shafts to run 35s and a 3.5” lift but i want this thing to be able to get me through a doomsday scenario

    I'm in the initial stages of planning the swap. Do I try and find an engine from a Challenger if I was going to go the car route? I also haven't watched all of your videos but it looks like you show all of the steps. Was there anything else out there you'd recommend I look at?

    • @ghostlyrich
      @ghostlyrich  Год назад

      Definitely get yourself a challenger engine around 2014 ish just so it has the newer eagle heads and all that jaz. If you’re not gonna rebuild, the engine, definitely get something that is low kilometres as well or miles if you’re in the states.

    any idea if I could use my stock JK fan out of my 2011 with 3.8 with the VVT truck 5.7?

    • @ghostlyrich

      Actually dont know. I would look up if the part numbers the same for both fan clutchs for clutch assembly on rock auto

    • @treadbroker
      @treadbroker 6 месяцев назад

      I did have a conversation with Todd at JSS yesterday and he confirmed that you cannot used that fan but I believe he said because of the actual cooling capability. Not necessarily a fitment issue. I went ahead and ordered the Camaro fan and shroud from him anyways. Thank you for the great videos as I’m just getting started and trying to figure it all out

    3000$ even for the nag1 ? that might be a little expensive since the 8 speed kit is 1500 and the transmission is around 1000 dont you think its better just to go with the 8 speed ?

    • @ghostlyrich
      @ghostlyrich  Год назад +1

      Sorry the 3000$ if for the 8 speed, 1500$ for kit say 900$ for 8 speed then you need the charger shifter and tranny lines so i rounded to 3000$
      The nag 1 is just. The bell housing

    • @ghostlyrich
      @ghostlyrich  Год назад +1

      I would message todd at jeep shop to be 100% sure but i cant see it being a problem since its controlled by the pcm. Whats awesome is that pcm and wiring harness should be good to you just need the pcm reprogrammed to your vehicle (security key and pin)

  • @gerardomendoza9688
    @gerardomendoza9688 Год назад

    I would just use the truck mechanical fan and problem solved, less electrics and less parts waiting to fail. If i get a car 5.7 i just change the water pump to truck one to run the truck mechanical fan and problem solved again.

    • @ghostlyrich
      @ghostlyrich  Год назад

      It’s a parasitic loss of power but again if you don’t mind the power loss 100% go ahead with the mechanical fan

    while i appreciate the effort, hemi swaps are really stupid. LS swaps are infinitely smarter and better. the LS has been around so long, you'll never not have parts for it. much better transmission options with the LS, too.
