Very nice review. As a watch enthusiast and new to sinn ownership, appreciate all your the information you provide about sinn on your videos. Pulled the trigger on a tegimented u50 s bs on a bracelet.
I was very curious about this new clasp. It is an improvement in terms of aesthetics. With the old butterfly clasp I put some spheres underneath with parafilm in order to create some pressure to eliminate the gap below the Sinn logo. Still, it's too much curvature to my taste, so it's a bit uncomfortable to me. Thanks for showing this clasp, as always your videos are great.
I also found the internal curvature of the old butterfly clasp too extreme that the ends dug into the underside of my wrist. Is the large clasp flatter where it presses against the wrist?
@stephenbailey3027 the larger clasp sits perfectly on my wrist, it does has a slightly curvature but anyone could say that is flat. It's very confortable. I also tried a different modification. With a plastic hammer, I flattened the butterfly clasp to some extent. Too much flatness will not allow to close the clasp and you will have to bend again. Another positive with this method is that the gap on the most external part of the clasp, when by flattening the clasp this gap dissappear completely and looks way better.
Love your Sinn videos! The new clasp definitely looks better than the old one. It looks like a small gap remains between the top and bottom clasp side after the clasp is closed. I'm afraid it might catch on something, accidentally opening the clasp.
Question : how stable is the new butterfly clasp. I’ve ordered a u50 with a rubber strap and large clasp. I intend using the watch for actual diving. The prefer the size of the butterfly clasp, but when I tried it in the shop, I found it flimsy and likely to open when knocked.
Hi David I found it to be pretty solid and its all I use on my 144 but I don't go diving, but as you are the larger clasp with its on the fly micro adjustment maybe better as you can over tighten it before the dive thats if you dive deep to allow for body compression sir
I wanted to ask.. on the Sinn silicone, for a 20mm at the lugs, does it taper down to 18mm at the clasp (like most aftermarket butterflys) or is it a straight 20mm all the way down? I am also wondering if this will fit a Damasko DS30 (much like the Sinn 556).
Hi chap the straps are straight cut so no tapering , I've never got to play with a Damasko but I have a feeling I've seen one fitted to one but cant say for sure unfortunately
Awesome video! What would be your rubber strap/clasp recommendation for the Sinn EZM1? This new butterfly, standard clasp, or tang buckle? I know you've said in the past some of the Sinn clasps overtake the watch with how big they are. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
Sinn made back in the day a black silicone strap with EZM1 printed on it, I think I had the last one, I've paired it with the butterfly clasp and would do again
@@ClickSpringReview I've seen yours in your videos! It's incredible you have one of them. Very rare I believe. Totally badass. I wish I could've gotten my hands on one! Are you aware if the current fitted rubber straps they offer will fit correctly on the EZM1? Thanks for the recommendation! Butterfly clasp it is
Cheers :) they still make one for the EZM3 and that will fit perfectly I believe, The new butterfly clasp is the way forward, I bet it would also look good on a white one 👍🏻
About to order an 856 and for some reason Sinn's website doesn't show this available. They only show the one with the large clasp and original butterfly clasp. Tried with a few different models too. 144, U50 etc.
If you were to go for an 856 I'd definitely go for butterfly clasp the large clasp just over powers the watch , I've a 144 and love it I'm also a big fan of the U50
@@ClickSpringReview Thank you for reply. I’m in London, UK.. been looking at silicone pin clasp and small folding clasp ones for my 556i from sinn,de directly, but where’s no price and also not entirely sure of all the enquire process and all delivery, custom fees. I bet those straps worth the money, just not sure how expensive it could get with getting them from Germany.
Hi Werner I got the strap so many years ago now I cant remember where from, but anything like this should also work www.amazon.co.uk/Ullchro-Silicone-Replacement-Rubber-Waterproof/dp/B09KL7MYVW/ref=sr_1_51?crid=1AHLBJ4AD3JC7&keywords=20mm+silicone+Deployant+Clasp&qid=1652020023&sprefix=20mm+silicone+deployant+clasp%2Caps%2C63&sr=8-51

@stephenbailey3027 buy the one with microadjustment, it's a bit shorter and has the microadjuatment on the almost on the fly
