Are you still making the top piece supports. I am interested. I am putting new posts in for my muscadines and I have been looking for ways to do it. One other question how do the wires attach to the post below the top one. I am thinking it is just wire clips but not sure. Thanks!!
Hi Scott. I'm just about plant 2 grape vines for home garden, and want to do trellis the same as yours. How did it go? Did T posts support grown vine? Thank you.
As long as you use the dead mans as support it works fine. Also, use the turnbuckles so you can take out slack if you need to. I have had mine up for 5 years with no sag.
@@scottcunningham8038 Thank you very much. I used star-pickets [I think similar to US T-posts posts]. I put 8ft posts 2ft in the ground. Then used short star pickets angled into the ground [just leaving the top hole exposed.] Then used the trellis wire across top of picket, down to ground picket, through hole, then back up to top of post and wired securely to top wire, Then used a metal bar, put through the 2 wires and twisted them until wire tight. [Sorry for the long description - a drawing would have been better]! I hope this works. [Also, I don't know what a 'dead man' is.] Thank you again ♥
Can you provide any more details on your devices you made to hold wire on top of t post? I’m going to do this but wanted to see how you did it before I reinvented the wheel. Also, are 8 ft t posts necessary? I was going to go with 7
I purchased H shaped aluminum channel. Cut it to about 2 inch lengths and notched out sections to fit on top of the Tpost. 7 ft posts should work fine.
Interesting design. Sad that you didn't show us how your dead-man anchors are set.
Can you post a update. I'm going to do this.

Hey! Any chance you have the link for the little guide pieces?
I think im just going to use an angle grinder to cut a groove in the top of the t-post instead of messing around with some little guide piece.
Could you send me the link for post guides? I can t find it.
Denny
Hi Scott,
It looks like you only used the T-post caps on the end posts. Is that correct? Or did you use them on the middle posts, too? Thanks,
Eliot
If any part of that buckles its going to launch metal. Fast.
Where can I find those T post caps?
Or anything similar

you could probably just weld a metal ring to the top of the side of the T post .
I need the post guides
Where can I get top pieces please? Also, can I do posts 6 ft apart? I already have grapes planted.
i know Im kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to stream new series online?
