- My review of the Carve King, an hobby-level CNC kit designed by MillRight CNC. I showcase some projects made with it including: Baby mobiles, MDF gears, using a diode laser attachment, cutting 1/4" aluminum CNC mounting plates, and PCB prototypes.

A good video showing what the original (wood) Carve King is capable of. I have had mine for about four years now, and, it has had no trouble doing whatever I asked it to do. The only modification I did, if you can call it that, was to replace the loud noisy router with a much quieter spindle.
Helpful video, thanks
So thanks
This video is great! I'm looking into using my CNC as a PCB mill as well :D
As a headphone user, I have one bit of constructive feedback for you; it would be really nice if you didn't raise the volume when the machines are cutting. I had to adjust the volume quite often.
Thanks for the tip!
Hello, can this cnc router actually cut at a depth of up to 4" as it is advertised?
It’s z axis travel is 4”
i saw that you have low rider 2 as well there. Can you compare them ?
They are not really that comparable....they are very different machines for different tasks. The Carve King is a good general purpose entry-level CNC. The lowrider is only good at one thing, cutting big for as cheap as possible.
@@diyfiberlaser Oh I see , i am asking because I have just bought an used V1 Low Rider 2 - I have seen it as a 3d Printer , and as a cnc machine - i will this or next week assembly it . Then Post a video of the first try.
@@RadekSzabla I put a diode laser on it to do some engraving as well. Good Luck!
