    Never ceases to amaze me how much obscure jazz talent there exists in the world. This quartet is terrific and Tendy's feel on the tenor is phenomenal. Great cover of a wonderful tune!

      Mouthpiece is a Ponzol Custom HR. Reed is hand made and modeled after a Guardala Brecker Premium, which is very similar to a vintage Lavoz. Strength is about 4. Tenor is a 50xxx SBA with a silver Mk VI neck, unknown vintage. Thank you for commenting and best wishes :)

    great music cover & collaborations. how long have you played jazz music ? I currently play classical .i'm into jazz music

    • @ClickRec
      @ClickRec  7 лет назад +4

      I've been playing jazz a long time! Got interested 1973 when my mother bought me a Benny Goodman record. Spent a good year learning the clarinet solos. If you want to learn jazz, start with a record you really like and commit to learning some of the solos. My first was Benny Goodman, then Brubeck "Time Out". I still love and listen to those records! Thank you for commenting. Best wishes - John

      did you learn to play classical music before you started to learn jazz ??

    • @ClickRec
      @ClickRec  7 лет назад +1

      I would say so, yes. I studied classical clarinet from the start, about age 11, through college, but always listened to jazz. I didn't start actually "studying" jazz till I was about 17. Before that I would play by ear with no real understanding of chords.

    • @JenniferAntonioJen
      @JenniferAntonioJen 7 лет назад +1

      wow. that's great. you could learn by ear without understanding chord. so you learnt jazz by yourself or with jazz teacher ?

    • @ClickRec
      @ClickRec  7 лет назад +2

      Self taught through ear training and transcription. Consider this: when we have a conversation, a debate, an argument, isn't that verbal improvisation? Jazz is a language, too. A child has to learn how to speak before they learn and appreciate the rules of grammar and punctuation. It's the same with jazz. The rules are important to know, and they will be waiting for you, but develop your ear first.

    Muy bien..! Good sound..! I like it..! It´s not your Ponzol mouthpiece..?

    • @ClickRec
      @ClickRec  9 лет назад

      Ramón Irízar Gómez Hi Ramón! The mouthpiece is a Ponzol Custom HR. Similar feel to an M2, just a little darker. Also, the reed is slightly softer than I normally use. Thanks for commenting. Best wishes - John
