The PNG Ollie used for Moona is too perfect as I can feel Moona trying to keep a straight face through all of it.
hide the pain Moona
It's like moona's using all of her power to stop herself from choking ollie
she just standing there looking at Ollie while smiling...... menacingly
And occasionally doing that small eye open looking over at Ollie which looks so menacing for some reason
Just the perfect picture when she told her sizes
Ollie can probably do a legit full english valley girl accent. And im scared for it.
Ollie and Gura Valley Girls Accents let's gooooo!

Jaksel accent be like "haha 2 languages" but fail miserably on both languages
I've met Jaksel types during my college years, these people are insufferable. You can practically find these types of "accent" all over the Global South. Wealthy people mixing their local language with English (American), it's just so embarrassing.
@@exu7325 i mean there are some indonesians who sometimes forgot some bahasa indonesia words, so they use english instead. i'm fine with that type of person but there are people who mix bahasa indonesia and english on purpose to look "cool" which is annoying af.
@@ruu1272 Same thing happens in spanish, they try to sound cool but they end up butchering the pronunciation so bad it hurts me

Yes, only by hearing the intonation compared to them usually speaking in Indonesian, I felt cringy.

Yo what!!!!!, like how? they probably cannot even speak sunda lemes or basa lames and yet mixing with EN!. Man.. I kind sad tho, kids now days can't use basa lemes, this language are dying slowly.
The power of Beverly Hills compels Ollie
Moona : "Gosh what have I done..."
The reason why Jaksel (South Jakartan) accent is the way it is is because South Jakarta is rife with expats, and their interactions with the locals is leaving an influence for the linguistics development there. While it may seem cringe it's essentially just how a language evolves over time
Also internet
The same could said about tagalog (filipino). Every other sentence has at least one english word
As a filipino that grew up primarily in the city, I dont know how to really speak pure Tagalog, and find it weird when I hear someone talk pure tagalog like most radio announcers.
Expats? So immigrants without the color.
@@LermaBean I always thought that expats = people who aren't really citizens and immigrants = people trying to be residents

I'm not a Indonesian but I somehow still am able to understand bits of it so hearing this was pretty normal to me and nothing out of the ordinary, until a friend of mine said that it's basically the same as TagLish or Conyo speech (A mix between Tagalog and English languages)
The moment he said it was enough for me to finally understand Moona's pain
It's like that rich girl stereotype speaking in a really annoying way with taglish
@@tmk20221 Yeah and that description alone triggers the cringe in me, I mean, no offense to them speaking that way, but I'd prefer not hearing them
More like Conyo speech - Taglish is way too ubiquitous now to sound "cringe". Compare "daan tayo ng mall" that to the "making bili at the mall"
we call it conyo in our country, I mean we always use taglish but just the way people uses it is kinda "Conyo" its the same as valley girl since most conyo are those rich ppl.
Yes! That's the one, so that's what it's called. The example you gave is exactly what I had in mind when I said Taglish, Thanks.
as someone from Jaksel, all I can say if you put Which is and Literally in between sentences you basically can do the Jaksel accent
Yup, even at my workplace, they (and not only jaksel people) tend to use "which is" and "so far"
LOOOOL, i knew this so well...

Totally
Tapi gua selalu bandingin aksen valley girl sama aksen alay kaya andre ovj atau rina nose suka pake pas ngelawak dah wkwk soalnya sama sama yg dimainin itu intonasi sama kata katanya itu tapi masih di bahasanya masing masing, kalo jaksel kan ada campur bahasa gitu

Damn, i can feel the trendyness from here, i can smell their god damned stingy cute smelling perfumes, i can feel their upper middle class status mocking me for being just middle class, i can taste the starbucks or boba tea or any other trendy drink, i can visualise the cold open-wide mall with their ugly floors and slightly orange tinted lights that reflects among the walls and floor while the Jaksel just walk around and being overly loud whilst i sit in with my family being dragged around by my sister and mother forced to wear clothing i do not need. 10/10 accent as expected from an Idol.
Funny thing is not all of them rich enough to buy stuffs in that mall lol. Some just walking around the mall for "style point" and later go out and eat at warung nasi uduk for dinner 😂
I'm a country away from you but I've worked in a mall for the better part of a decade and know exactly what you're talking about.
You know what the worst part about those malls are? When they bring their pets around. Like, lady, I'm trying to have dinner. I don't need a filthy animal slobbering all over the goddamned place.

I unironically speak with a jaksel accent irl, and this feels like a personal attack lmao
The Jaksel accent sounds distressingly similar to how most in the younger generation speak English over here: an accent that tries to mimic the 'standard American' accent but the local accent keeps leaking out, creating an uncanny valley of an accent. Dari BD, btw.
I think it's more of them trying to look classy even when they don't know much English. If
