Mike, I've just subscribed to you! I spent DAYS trying to see how to start a recording from scratch in Fairlight... and in one video you answered all my questions. All this time.. I've been just importing a scratch sound file just to get it to work. THANKS THANKS! I'm looking to replace Audition, which has been by DAW of choice for allways... but I've gotten weary of Adobe's TERRIBLE customer support. Would like nothing more than to replace AFTER EFFECTS/FUSION, PREMIERE PRO/EDIT and AUDITION/FAIRLIGHT. Thus far it looks very promising! Thanks for this! (By the way.. I love your instructional style... no napping with you!!! hahaha)

It's interesting to hear that you're considering switching from Audition to Fairlight and I hope my tutorials continue to be helpful for you. I appreciate your kind words about my instructional style and I'll make sure to keep things engaging and informative for you!

Hey Mike! Thanks so much for all your videos - they've been such a help! I've come across one thing though that has me completely stumped and no where on the web seems to have a walk through or answer...I want to record a multi track audio podcast from the Rodecaster Pro 2 directly into Davinci but if i select the Multitrack as the input source in preferences when I try to patch the audio to the input Davinci doesn't seem to recognise the multitrack option as an input. I can't find an answer to this anywhere online, is it even possible to record multitrack from the Rodecaster Pro 2 directly into Davinic resolve? Thanks so much for all the help and support!

Yes, you can indeed record multiple tracks from the RODECaster Pro 2 directly into DaVinci Resolve by selecting the Multitrack as the input source in Preferences. The issue you are experiencing might be due to incorrect settings or compatibility issues between the two devices. To ensure proper recognition of the multitrack option as an input. Double check your device settings and ensure that the correct inputs are selected.

Thanks for confirming it can be done Mike.
I’ve selected multitrack as both the input and output on both my pc settings as well as in Davinci but it still doesn’t show up as an input when trying to patch.
The only way I get it recognised as an input is if I select and set it as ProcasterChat and not Multitrack.
I’m completely at a loss at this point. 😢

@MikeRussell Hey! After many hours or trials and setups I finally got this working. In order to get it to work I had to enable ASIO in Davinci. So glad I can now get my podcast going straight into Davinci directly with multiple guests.
I just had to map the inputs to the audio tracks I created manually, I guess it doesn't auto populate the multiple tracks by itself?

I can't choose one 🤯, which are you prefer, DaVince Fairlight or Audacity?

For beginners, I would recommend starting with Audacity due to its user friendly interface and comprehensive features, but as you advance, DaVinci Resolve's Fairlight offers more advanced capabilities for professional audio production.
