I usually open my apps from my Settings "Installed Apps" instead of from the Home screen on my Firestick. This way, when I'm done watching any content from an app, I just press back on my remote, and it goes back to the app. Then I clean the cache and click on Force Stop. This makes it much easier to keep tract of what apps you have used, and keeping them turned off when not in use.

I had 13. I would usually force stop anyway then clear cache occasionally. But I like that the background app shows exactly which apps are open at any given time. So glad I found your channel I've learned so much in the 4 years of having the stick and continue to learn.
Thank you for sharing this! I had 50 apps running. Some I know I haven’t used in several weeks. The odd thing is I’m pretty sure I had manually closed a lot of these apps, but they still showed up running.
Closed all of them up using this app and my firestick is running waaaay better! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

I bought the fire cube. I absolutely love it. I was always running out of space. This seems to run better. It doesn't even buffer anymore. I have that app that coses them all. I always put it to sleep. Ihave 39 apps installed. My sister has a firestick but only watches RUclips tv and pluto. I have a cube in the living room and 27 apps on that one. I still empty the cache on all of them
One running and it's nice to watch the rewatch some of these videos cuz sometimes you just playing forget

I’m familiar with that app, have one similar to it. I know you mentioned this in another video: when you stop those apps; it’s a good idea to clear the cache too.
Yes, we have videos on the benefits of clearing cache. It doesn’t however speed up your stick (the purpose of this video) unless Ofcourse you have storage issues which we mentioned.

I have been using the background app for months its set to show first when I turn on my firestick so I can see what apps i need to force stop and clear catch before I start watching anything 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I had 2 running. I've never streamed anything from my 4k max. They never have the new stuff I want for free. Main thing is Jurassic World: Dominion and live nfl football games and live cable shows.

No, they shouldn't unless you have it to auto run

Had 11 running. Have 2 that I don't recognize, Multimodal SmartHome and Fire TV Alexa Destination. What are those and can/should I close them? Great info as always.
Must be something unique to your household. I don't have either of these. Maybe you have a 3rd party alexa enabled smart home item that requires those for the firetv to access it. Again, something unique to your situation. I would need more information to help.
No Sir, no smart home, no Alexa, just a plain Firestick plugged into the TV, lol.

Thank you for the refresher course I really enjoy your videos I would like to know if you have any APK stores that are still available I lost a lot of mine when I switch to the 4K max form the 4K fire stick I have found Cinema and also bee tv and a few others that I had found and they are running great with real debrid i haven't had a problem with them even downloader codes will work if you have some

I turned off both audio and video autoplay but Netflix still auto plays. Do I need to do this in the Netflix settings?
Yes, you will need to do it in netflix settings.
Do u need the background app , I just go to setting applications , manage installed applications then click on the top app then force stop , then I click rewind to clear cache , then back click the next app , repeat ,,, one less app on the fire stick as i just downloaded background app I had nothing open as ever night before turning off the fire stick I do that ! Just want to help as a app takes up space on the stick 🤔
If you are organized enough to do that, then Ofcourse you can do that. Most people don’t realize what apps they have active and this app is very helpful. Plus it’s one of the smallest apps out there. Really doesn’t take up much space

Statistically the Cube (but they have a new one coming out so I would wait). With the cube you have verbal control over your tv which is awesome. You can do that with the fire tv edition also. But watch storage closely. Only the 65 and larger Toshibas have sufficient storage or performance is poor.

how come when i force stop, then clear cache, clear data the cache comes back to what i cleared.it goes to zero , then if i go to a different site, it comes back to what it originally had in cache.
Don't get the small kb that some apps require confused with mb... huge difference. Kb is like a grain of sand in a desert. Only worry about cache of MB
It seems like the only problem I have is with Frndly TV buffering all the time. Please can you help me with this issue?
I can't really help with that if that's the only thing buffering. It would be a source issue. Not much can be done. Maybe enjoy some other apps that are better than that one.

Had 33 running but just turning off the autoplay increased the speed substantially.

Yes, I use cinema all the time. Remember to use the new installer we have on Patreon. Old one isn't working
