We have noticed that a lot of programs , movies, shows have a big sound discrepancy with dialog vs background / music , etc. - while using the fstick ... Any settings or fixes that u or anyone knows of ?? thanks
Great question. So there are a few things. Some are firestick related, some are tv related and some are just the app. I would suggest getting a Bluetooth sound bar. Solves all issues
I clear the cache an data every couple of days is that ok I never had a stick,I had chrome goggle 😮 I'm trying to learn this thanks for your help

It's because your remote isn't connected to your tv, just the firestick. Go to settings/equipment and select your model tv. We have a video on it also to make it easy

Followed your guide to expand my memory on my Firestick 4K Max using OTG cable and usb power adapter. Only issue i see is that when i turn off my TV for extended period of time, the Firestick completely shuts off while it's plugged into USB for power
Yes... this is a good thing. You should be shutting the firestick off. You run it all day every day with and open connection to the internet? Eek. Hope you have a VPN

Why did you choose 1080p at 30 hz instead of 1080p at 60 hz? Why not the "Auto" setting?
I was just showing the options. I was using a screen capture card that would only go so high. I normally have the 4k setting on (capture device would not go that high).
Hi- great video! my LG TV keeps starting up and I have to hit the HDMI button to get it to go to my Firestick. My Fire Stick is the only thing that I use I don’t have cable. How can I fix so I don't have to use TV remote to hit HDMI ?

I have already installed the new 4k Max. If I unplug the new stick and plug the old 4k to do a factory reset will that screw up my new sticks setting. I don't want the hassle of having to reinstall all my apps on my new stick.
Also have extra remote for my 4k will pairing it to the new stick cause any problem?
One stick has nothing to do with the other
On the last one, do you have to have your TV on to reset to the factory settings?
Technically no, but it would be easier to see where you are on the reset
I installed the Firestick and have beautiful picture but no sound from my Polk soundbar,
which worked fine with cable and still works with the DVD.
Everything the remote instructed to do was done.

You can either update through aptoide, or uninstall and reinstall. If they haven't updated it in the Amazon App Store yet, then you'll need to use aptoide

maybe you can help, my fire stick is linked to an older Sony Bravia (about10-12 yrs old). When I try and voice activate a change in input (to my receiver), the fire stick does not recognize my HDMI2, going instead to HDMI4 where I have nothing plugged in. Cannot figure out if it is the TV or fire stick.
You need to plug the firestick into the HDCP HDMI port to use tv functions

I have a 2nd gen 4 k firestick and my remote doesn’t scroll, it only goes from the top to the bottom of the screen. Tried resetting it and it’s still doing the same thing.
Sounds like a damaged remote to me. Did you contact amazon for warranty?

My remote is not connecting back to the fire stick
What was the reason for disconnecting? Did you do the remote code and then leave the remote alone? Sometimes it takes a while

You have to turn your new firestick open to developer mode. Did you jailbeak the stick? We have a video called "develeoper options missing?" You will have to turn those setting on before you can add 3rd party apps.
I did something wrong and now the remote won't function at all. Sigh 😢

@@CuriosityCafe frankly, I was hitting the various buttons while watching the video. The light works, but every attempt has failed to get the firestick to react. I have unplugged, rebooted, removed the batteries, and then rinse and repeated every step 10 times. No response.
Sounds like you did the unsyc from our video. So just do the re-sync. The key combination is there. Make sure no other firestick is on and close to the one you want to sync to
To sync your remote with a Firestick please follow the steps below.
Unplug the firestick from power outlet
Plug in the firestick and wait until it is completely booted up and in the menu.
Hold down the "Home" button for 10 seconds.
This should pair the remote please note that if it pairs, it still takes about 20 seconds before it will work.
During those 20 seconds DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS ON THAT REMOTE. just go have lunch or something
