this is so sweet esp the part where you said the peace lily is very forgiving. i am terrible with plants and i hope i can keep my peace lily alive for a long time. thank you for this
Hi. I transferred my peace lily into water as it suffered from root rot. I cut all the roots and while the leaves are doing fine, i noticed that the roots are actually not growing and it’s been 2 weeks already. Any suggestions please? I am using just filtered water.
This is exactly the kind of information video I needed! Also, I'm loving your plant collection. I say ditch the books & only keep the plants there. Haha
Hi, my peace lily suffered from a root (crown) rot. I’ve separated one and moved it to water. But I see that the ends of the roots are browning ( rotting). What could be the issue?
Whatever I did, Lilly did not like. Since I got it, I repotted it for sure at least 5 times, changed position, leaves started to yellow, looked sad. I will try water. Thank you.
Hey...I have this plant but in summers its all leaves got black... so I shifted it to water...it thrived again...I m so happy that this plant actually forgave me... but I am confused can I keep it in water forever...? Will it flower?
Yes you can keep it in water forever and if you change the water every week then it will stay healthy! If its warm and humid then it will bloom for sure! No direct sun and black leaves maybe because of heat so if you ever keep it in soil then make sure that it doesn not get sun at all and you water only when the leaves drop down!
Glass pot is good, ceramics are good, teracotta is an option! I personally do not prefer to use plastic as it requires more maintenance and plastic is not good for any living creature. Also I would say thermocol sounds interesting, I havent used it for water plants but would love to try that.
I just transferred my PL from soil to water and she's drooping really bad....is this normal? What should I do? Also, did you say it is safe to add a tsp of peroxide to it as a fertilizer?
Drooping is mainly because the plant is in shock due to sudden change but if the plant is placed properly in water and in complete shade then it should be fine soon! Yes peroxide is good but I honestly never felt the need of it!
One year back i buy my peace lily with 12_13 leaves bt i dont know what happend its leaves get yellow nd brown frm tips...new leaves grow bt old one get brown...i check the roots they all get rot so i shifed it to water last week.its last two leaver died bt its new leaf give me hope.bt its root rot doesnt stop plz suggest what to add in water to prevent root rot...i cut that rotten part of root..
Hi, I transferred my giant peace lily into water today as it's not even growing normal size leaves in soil. Hope it grows in it. Wish me luck. I can't lose my peace lily. 🥹
Hello My water propogated peace lilly is completly root bound. Roots are tightly packed. Can you please sujjest any idea how do I seperate it without damaging the plant.

That's fine, it does take sometime! Please keep changing water every 2 weeks or even weekly if you have time and you should be seeing roots soon!
This is exactly the kind of information video I needed! Also, I'm loving your plant collection. I say ditch the books & only keep the plants there. Haha
Hahahah thats true, its taking over!
What is that pink thing that you put ?
They are small stones just for a little bit color! 🙂
Very informative video 👌
Thanks a lot 😊

The crown should be outside water and try and change the water every week if possible! That should help!
Helpful, please give the end result after each video
Thanks for watching 😊 Indeed we will 😊
Whatever I did, Lilly did not like. Since I got it, I repotted it for sure at least 5 times, changed position, leaves started to yellow, looked sad. I will try water. Thank you.
Maybe you can shift it to the water! I think it should help
@@MMMPlants Just did it. We''ll see.
Will this not cause masquitos breathing?
If we change the water weekly then it will not be an issue
Are these a certain type of stones?
Naah, just the normal stones. Bought them from a local shop 😀
I keep the plant in glass water jar 3 or 4 year continously it will grow ??? Please advise
Yes, it will! Provided the water is changed regularly!

Hey when we add water to the plant.. do we need to empty jar clean roots and add new water ?? Or just keep adding water when it lessens ?
I prefer just removing the old water and filling in the fresh one! Once in a month you can wash the stones if you have some!
@@MMMPlants Thnkyou ❤️
Does the water go stagnant?
Yes and that’s why you can change it every few days when you have time!
Can we use only glass pot ...??? Or plastic pot or thermacol pot is ok for this

So you're saying do not add peroxide to the water correct? And this is normal due to shock and it should get better?
@@lakeishaford8629 yes, you got it right!
@@MMMPlants thank you so much!! You and your video was very helpful ❤❤❤
My peace lilly is still so small for long, how long does it take for them to grow in bushy big mature plants??
It depends on the variety you have but yes we have to be patient 😊

Now that it is in water, please dont add anything and also change water every 2 weeks. You should give it indirect light and no direct sun!
@@MMMPlants thank u
Can I do this while the peace lily is in flower? will the flowers die?
You can, the flowers should not die. Initially sometimes the plant does go under shock but it will back to orignal state in a few days.
@@MMMPlants thank you for your reply. I will try it soon. Although my plant is much smaller than yours.
@@ayeshashahid1831 Good luck!
Thats ok, it will grow. Thanks for your message
Please start by saying required items. What is the pinkish purple stuff you added?
those are just normal stones to support the roots!
Hi,
I transferred my giant peace lily into water today as it's not even growing normal size leaves in soil.
Hope it grows in it. Wish me luck. I can't lose my peace lily. 🥹
I am sure it will be fine 😊
Can I grow on Aquarium?
Yes you can, if you make sure that the crown of the plant is above the water.

How to add hydrogen peroxide to water plants
I believe 1 drop is enough but good to read the instructions on the packet
Camera is not good
Thanks for the feedback 😊
you are not propagating them , they alredy have roots
I agree they have roots, Propagation is different ways and this is one of them! Root separation is one of the methods!
