WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use RUclipss lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and RUclips deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

They could do with a smaller clasps.. shorter rather. Especially if they reuse them on their smaller case sizes.. overpowers a bit on anything under 40mm. Otherwise the rest of their watches in the c6x lines are great.

I have one of these and have been very happy with it. For me the best things about the watch are the accuracy, the on the fly bracelet adjustment and the way that the inner edges of the indices catch the light.

I honestly don't think you can go wrong with anything in their catalog right now, Gary. Since you have to choose one to start with, I would probably begin with the one you're looking at here -- or the Trident Pro 300 diver. I have the white dial Sealander in 39 mm and absolutely love it. It's a great daily driver. My wrist size is about the same as yours, and while the 39 mm looks wonderful, I think the 36 mm might even be slightly better (although I will say the original 39 mm did have a slightly shorter clasp, which I think I kind of prefer). You can't go wrong with anything from them, though. Happy buying!

I would go for the C60 Trident Pro 300. My personal favourite is the 40mm black dial on the bracelet. Love the red accents on this one and the light catcher case looks a real winner to me. This has become my "grail" watch - at AUD $1,420 it comes in at more than double the price of my most expensive watch. I agree with a lot of other comments that the logo only branding on the dial is an improvement. Credit to CW for consulting their customers for what they would like to see.

It's a very nice watch, I really like the fact that they cut down on all the dial printing, totally agree there. I specifically didn't like Christopher Ward on the dial because for me personally, it looked like a fashion watch... Daniel Wellington, Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, they all came to mind. Very happy to see it gone. A CW watch is on my list for 2023 as soon as the watch budget is replenished.

I got the same watch 2 months ago. Not many brands offer 36 mm watches and this one is the best I could find for quality/price. I've removed the bracelet (annoying lengthy clasp) and put a 2 piece nato bond strap instead. If you don't mind about the clasp this is a really well though bracelet. The mvmt in mine is as accurate as this one (+5 sec) but beat error is close to 0.8. It has killer lume too. If you like the sporty look, I think the black dial is the better version and is close to a Rolex Explorer. If you have small wrists go for it you will not be disappointed.

Wish they did this in a 39/40mm, then I’d buy it instantly. They do a larger size but decided to change the design slightly for reason and have some colourful accents, which I’m not a huge fan of.

I visited Christopher Ward recently too, Patrick is a great guy and loves his watches too. I think the C60 Trident 300 is an amazing watch, really liked it. But I think if I was to buy one it would either be the C65 Aquitane, or the C1 Worldglow (if they had any in stock). Those two really stand out for me as more special and unique watches. Nice watch but the clasp looks oversized on the 36mm case and doesn't balance out nicely on the wrist. They take the name off the dial 👍then stick it on the rotor 👎why not put the logo on the rotor to match the rest. Plenty of S M watches with the Sellita movement with as good a fit and finish for less money. So it comes down to personal choice. Enjoy your purchase Gary.

Love the C63 Sealander with the white dial, it’s my personal choice but I disagree that the bracelet should have any high polished area’s, the mat finish looks fantastic, also does not show scratches as much.

Good luck. I have had more problems with the newer Sellita SW200-1. I've had several trinkets crap out with the dreaded "helicopter effect". Thankfully it happened while they were new and they were fixed or swapped out for another watch.
It's pretty hard to avoid Sellita because so many brands use the SW200, but I do my best. Even Zelos told me the SW200 is the most problematic movement they have used to date and have shied away from using the SW200 on newer releases.
There is something wrong with the build quality of and automatic movement that has issues if using the crown to wind. They should be able to handle both without fear of having problems on brand new trinkets.

This is a beautiful watch. I was concerned about the silver indices and the white dial making it difficult to read but your video shows that concern was misplaced.
I have been looking at the polar dial Sealander GMT, you might like it. - Also, I would wait fro their annual summer sale to buy your CW. - I know you like a deal.

Always a good company to deal with, I have owned a older Trident mk2 , I also brought a couple of their watches which I returned under their 60 day return ( obviously watches not worn returned as new watches ) and received prompt refunds. The new logo only policy is a real winner.

The value proposition with CW is strong. I really wish they would offer an alternative bracelet to the inelegant oyster-ish one - I feel the centre links are to wide making it look fatter then ness and yes the clasp is a chunker.- and those end links look huuge with that massive non articulated male centre link. Would love to see a jubilee-esque type.

I bought the new trident pro 300 this year - white dial and orange tropic strap - and have been very pleased with it. One thing that struck me was the size of the crown and how smooth it is. Theres loads of colours and 2 different sizes - they might let you try a few if you ask nicely 🙂.

I bought the same watch. (42mm) Love how thin it is. Great looking watch. I’m saving to get the bracelet for it. Hoping for a discount code.

Depending on the colour they do 38/40/42mm

@@stevev7402 Best of luck - the bracelets are supposed to be excellent. I bought the 42mm as well - I just like that size, especially with a 22mm lug width. I was put off the bracelet in this case because of the male end links. Maybe they'd let Gary try a few of the same watch at different sizes - it would really help. Re a discount code - have you signed up for the CW Loupe magazine? It's free and it comes with a £100 discount code.

@@laurencehogg6010 I did. I used it to buy the watch. If I bought it on the bracelet I would have got stuck with import taxes here in the states. That’s why I’m hoping to get it separate with a descent discount. Just being patient

The number one contender for my first non budget watch, but which colour? Both this white & the black look superb. The large clasp would appear to be the only negative on a smaller watch. Also I’ve seen where some buyers have struggled /failed to remove the bracelet screws to resize. Whether that is down to them or the watch, can’t say. Other than that, looks great for the money.

I'd love to see the 40mm c60 300 on your wrist for comparison as my wrist is similar size.
Have the c60 ombre trident which is a little chunky but gorgeous

They always just wanted to use the logo and not the name but their lawyers advised using both for a number of years before switching to just the logo.
Does this watch have a quick release bracelet?

I have the 2010 trident gmt C60 and its been a great watch…..but interesting the clasp on the rubber brick original strap is worse than the ali express ones I hear people winge about….still a pride beta watch in my collection….with well worn aluminium bezel!! Still wish CW will sort their branding i still prefer the original branding

That looks tiny on your wrist. The bracelet doesn't taper enough. I read it goes from 20mm to 18mm and the videos I've seen do suggest that is the case. The new Trident is going to taper from 20mm to 16.5mm which I think is a better taper for that kind of watch. This sealander should also taper from 20mm to 16.5mm. I think 38mm might be ideal and they have the new Dune piece for that.
