Is the starlink Internet safe. Is there a firewall built in it. I just got mine in today it the gen 1 not the gen 2 . I don’t know anything about it. If you can please help thank you
Hello Gabby, great question! Yes the Starlink router does have a firewall built into it. Check out out website for articles on installing your system www.starlinkcommunityforums.com Hope this helps:)
My Starlink app says I can expect an interruption every five mins. Sometimes it says every seven mins. I can’t tell as my service is great. Is an interruption better every seven mins versus every five mins. I would think so. Thoughts?
Hi Covey121507a, In theory the longer time between interruptions is better. Usually that means you have less obstructions in Dishy field of view (according to the obstruction viewer in your app). I wouldn’t worry to much about the accuracy of the messages you are receiving, if your overall service has been great it must be very minimal down time. Not enough to cause big interruptions in service. Starlink is trying to cover all their bases in the event that a customer is having issues they can view the obstructions and have that be one of the first things to try and “fix”.
Hello …..when I’m doing my speed test it says router - internet …….. this speed test failed due to a router connection problem…… I have to be honest we have internet and it better than it was before ……. What can I do so I get a speed test result please and thanks
Hello Maria, We've seen this issue before a few times now. Whet Gen system do you have? You can tell right in the app if it is a circle or rectangle Dishy in the pick....either way doing a reboot of the system and checking for updates are the first steps. We wrote an article that walks through rebooting your router, www.starlinkcommunityforums.com/post/red-light-of-death Hopefully this helps. How long have you had the system for? When did the problem show up?
Always good content, clearly presented. Keep it up!
Great video man!

I'm lucky to get 100 mbps
There seems to be an overall drop in performance from what we’ve seen. Still sufficient for most applications.
