Hi George - just wanted to say that I always learn mucho from watching your videos - I'm originally from Imperial Beach and remember very well the drive in theater (Big Sky). Also wanted to tell you about the rabbit plate but others have already done that. Love your videos!
Great video George. Just seeing folks walking around without jackets on made me happy. Here In Wisconsin we are headed for some sub zero temps. Keep up the interesting videos. 😊
Thank you George&Betty for taking us along on a very fun interesting&informative shop along! Loved seeing all the dif things that id otherwise prob never get to see!! ❤
So funny! I think we were actually at the playas flea the same day. I saw a lot of the same things you did so I’m assuming we were there at the same time 😊. If you ever come back down here maybe you’d be interested in going farther down to Ensenada. I love the thrifting there as well 😁. I just put my video up too for my playas trip. Thought that was coincidental.
Good evening, George. Always fantastic to see Betty with you. I'd like to have one of the angry Duck hood ornaments, from the _Convoy_ movie, Rubber Duck truck. There's one of those carving blocks here...somewhere. Interesting old keys there. I have a turtle like the carved elephant, with one inside it. Mom got it for me years ago. The tallship, close to the armadillo purse, caught my eye. That Tupperware pickle caddy was unusual, in blue. I liked the crucifixes that were in the bin. I wish I still had the peddle car I had as a child. No idea what happened to it. The tumbler was Fenton's _Lattice and Grape_ pattern. Lots of really nice things there. It has to be fun shopping with Betty, too. Thanks for taking us along!
Hi there! She is really great to show me around Mexico like this. I never thought about the angry duck, I remember that movie well from childhood and you just jogged my memory! I like the keys, any old keys can be interesting depending on shape and material. I like the puzzle turtles, don't see them often. The tall ship was neat, I couldn't imagine how I'd get it back in one piece! The blue Tupperware should've come with me because it's a good and unusual color. Thank you for Lattice and Grape, my carnival glass i.d. skills are limited to book research, I never saw enough in one place to really get it down. I'm so glad you could come with us!
@@TheAntiqueNomad Betty seems so charming, and I imagine she knows how to make a deal, too. The last time I saw one of those Angry Duck hood ornaments, I almost caught a case of the vapours 😂 The price was Eeeek! I'd never seen the Tupperware pickle caddy in any colour other than green. I grew up around Carnival Glass, so some of the patterns I remember fairly well...others not so much. There were a lot of them, and some are difficult to distinguish from one maker to another. That looked like a really fun excursion.
When I was a kid back in the 1960’s and into the 70’, we would go to Tijuana on occasion. It was so much fun to shop there. Wish I still had the leather purse I bought there. The tacos were always delicious. Thank you and Betty for a fun video.
It is always fun going shopping with you George. I get to see so much stuff and I really like the Akro set that you got at the end. You have a wonderful day and safe travel.
Hi George! Strange request… could u make a sleep video without ads in the middle? Let me assure u that I watch your videos at full alertness at least one time🤣… but I find your voice and shopping videos so relaxing and comforting that I usually watch them when I’m having a hard night. Unfortunately, the ads always jolt me awake….
Hey George! I am giving you an open invitation to come to Fresno California so I can go antiquing with you! We have some great antique stores in this area! Love learning about all these vintage pieces from you!
Hey George! Really liked this video today. My favorite was all of the Akro Agate right at the end! So many colors & shapes! Funny how you had to go so far to see things from WA state! Be safe in your travels!
Amazing to see the Fisher Price toy in Mexico! My sister has the one we played with a "few" years ago, which her children and grandchildren also enjoyed!
George , I have a question - wondering if you can help….I love Wesmoreland’s satin glass pieces - the saturated colors with the hand painted daisies. Trying to find red satin glass with the painted daisies. Why can’t I find any red satin glass?
Hi there! I do try to give values of some things when I know them, but it can be a bit awkward when I'm in a shop or in front of a dealer shopping because I don't want to alert them if I see a deal. Generally speaking, if I see something that's priced less than half of retail, I buy it.
Sadly, even if I buy an authentic bag, some people will think it's fake because I'm a person of color. But some people will also think my kislux is authentic.
Thanks to the viewers who identified the Rabbit in the Moon tray as Karen Howell! Now I need to go back and get it.
yes it was in Follow this bug vintage same artist for $100, just saw the video. Love to know what you have to pay
❤❤❤love the video
@@simonetichelaar2021 I bet it’s $5 or less
They are very collectible

Oh cool! I grew up part of my childhood not far from that theater, they still have a flea market there
Terrific video. Thank you, and good for Betty for striking up a conversation with the dealer. She's a keeper:) Fun.
Very nice woman 🎉

It was so nice to have sunshine and warm weather for a change!

It was fun to show something completely different!

I’ve been told I should! You can have no ads if you get the premium package through RUclips, I finally did it and it’s a lot less intrusive
Those 2 little vases/vessels at 38:00 were great. I liked all the akro agate pieces.
Me too!
Really enjoyed it! Thanks again!!😊
❤ Hola Betty 🖐 so nice to be w you today !! Glad you are back 🎉

That would be awesome! Let’s make it happen someday!
Oh yes, I remember when Master Mind came out.
We had exactly the same game. I remember the image of that man and the lady.
so interesting, thanks!
It’s definitely a different thrifting experience!
Now I'm jealous.😂
I want to go shopping with you too.

Yes, so funny I kept finding things from the Northwest in Mexico! Love the variety fof Akro Agate too
Tile is very pretty
So much good tilework in Mexico!
I lived in Roseburg Oregon growing up! Interesting what you find.
Nice little knick knacks.
A few were pretty valuable as well! I was surprised to find an Orrefors decanter for $5
@@TheAntiqueNomad ty for sharing this shopping video! Awesome!
Luved Bulldawg go figure

Fisher Price toys last for generations!
I just bought a new set of Tupperware on Amazon. I love it. It’s very nostalgic for me.
I hope they keep going!
I have a smaller Tupperware pickle keeper that I use for green olives. I also have one that the color is the original white
Can’t wait! WhooHoo!!
Ha Ha Very funny Carlos, that was so funny I forgot to laugh.
I laughed!
09:20 Porcupine toothpick holder, George.
I wish I’d gotten it!
Bajazinga!!!
I love that, my new favorite expression here
Did you buy the rabbit/moon plate?
I went back and got it!
George , I have a question - wondering if you can help….I love Wesmoreland’s satin glass pieces - the saturated colors with the hand painted daisies. Trying to find red satin glass with the painted daisies. Why can’t I find any red satin glass?
Red always cost 10 percent more than other colors and so it sold less
Red always cost 10 percent more than other colors and so it sold less
It’s a porcupine for toothpicks with snacks
I saw one in a collection last week with the toothpicks in it, now I wish I'd bought it!
More discovery missions!
Yes!
So sad to see all those birds crammed together in the dirty makeshift cages😢
It seems rough, but the small cages just are for transport. At home they're kept well in a larger aviary.
Seems rough…is rough. Exotic animal trade is cruel.
Hi xeno George

silver plate critter looks like porcupine toothpickholder to me...

it would be nice and educational if you gave us the value of items, in your video's, we all don't want to over pay. thanks.

Japanese see a rabbit in the moon instead of a man.
Oh that is very interesting! That might explain the tray. Thank you!
Sadly, even if I buy an authentic bag, some people will think it's fake because I'm a person of color. But some people will also think my kislux is authentic.
That was a musk rat
Muskrat, makes sense!
His tail looks a little short
