  • There's a lot to see here, folks! We begin the process of converting the Javelin's transmission to a T5 manual transmission from the factory Torqueflite 727 automatic. Everything is covered here, including; pedal assembly, clutch linkage, transmission info, input shaft, shifter, driveshaft and more. This is gonna be awesome!
For fans of: AMCs, muscle cars, Javelin AMXs, classic cars, project cars, DIY, affordable restorations, restomods, Roadkill, Vice Grip Garage, Hot Rod Garage, Tony Angelo (Stay Tuned), etc.

Just noticed at 54:32 the heater controls have a "DESERT ONLY" setting, guess it was made for the south western states.

lol yea, that’s the A/C setting. I think it started out as a serious setting for the A/C (turns of compressor cycling), but they kept it on there for all AMC “weather eye” controls.

I believe it’s something generic sounding like amcpartsstore.com. Can’t remember right off hand.

This car is becoming the definition of scope creep. I don’t think you need to defend decisions avoiding huge expenses, especially since you’ve had to change direction on the fly. If this was a complete restomod, then maybe, but that’s not what you’re doing here.
