I own a 2009 RT challenger when the MDS went out at 290,000 miles. I swapped it to a 6.1 with a factory 61 ECU. I have not swapped the TCM yet and the two engines have a different redline, so if I am spinning at redline, it will go into limp mode. So the SRT eight TCM hold shifts out to 6100 just before the 6150 redline of a 6.1. Once I swap to the SRTTCM, the red lines will match. In the meantime I mitigated this problem by using my Diablo Trinity to turn down the redline to 5800..

I would say the double pumper starts a lot easier than the old carburetor. It takes a little bit of finesse when you first start it up, like you said, but it's really not too bad. I started tuning the NAG1 a couple years go, I've found that there's a lot of adjustment possible with HPtuners. Running a 10.8@126mph in the 1/4 with a stock trans, with a solid trans tune.

It all comes down to individual taste. I think they are one of the best looking muscle cars of the era. Alongside the Barracuda.
