- Every window seal on the Javelin is original to the car from when it rolled out of the factory...until today!! The seal on the back window has been a significant concern. Have you seen what happened to the Hot Rod Garage Javelin? We did already do a 300 mile round trip to Tucson, and the car does have about 850 miles on it since the engine rebuild, but it's time to get it fixed. Check out what we did to get the window out, and back in again with fresh sealant!
Thanks for watching! As you can tell, I'm still trying to get the Javelin nicer---one piece at a time! I still have tons of stuff I want to do to the Javelin, so make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss it!
Thanks Dan.
That primer is really important and makes a nice clean black line. Did this about a month ago on my 73 javelin
Dude, that door slowly opening behind you at 13:45 was creepy, haha. The glass looks good, nonetheless!
Hahaha!! 😂 I have all kinds of weird stuff happening around me…
Dang really looked like the old tape was done, then I got a little busy with dinner and was halfway listening, until you said G-string then it was what wait a minute, hope it's not a fat chic, then I remember oh yeah replacing a rear window 😂😂😂😂😅
😂😂
You know this episode was actually something I was very curious about because every time I wash my 71, Water will pool under the trim on each lower corner and I always wondered if theres drains under there or not. I always try and blow the water out of the crevices just in case there wasn't but now I know there isn't lol. I know some of the early 50s Dodge/Plymouth cars had drains in them around the windows
Yup, unfortunately these do not have drains. Would be great if they did!
Are you going to put window tint before you install it
No, I’m actually thinking about getting window louvers eventually.
