Dan....Thanks for posting this GREAT in-depth fresh content!!!! PLEASE PLEASE post any dashboard removal/behind the dash content you have. There is very little in the way of photos and virtual no video to be seen of behind the dash information on the web. I eventually need to remove my dash and or upper dash pad(74 survivor orig paint 360 car) to deal with speedo cable and bad air cond/ heating ducting etc. It would be huge to see the process. I have heard it is a nightmare and everything is fragile and bits of the structure will crack and breakaway. THANKS YOUR CAR IS LOOKING SO COOL
Thanks for watching! I don’t really have a good way of showing that level of detail, but there are braces that need to come out to properly remove the ducting. It is a big chore, for sure. What I showed/explained in my window louvers and grill screen video is about 90% of it.
I have a 650 DP and no choke. It’s not hard to keep it running when it’s cold you just have to kind of play with the accelerator after it gets a little bit of heat in it you’ll be golden you’ll get much more performance out of that carburetor than you will EFI buddy and I’m only running a 650 I have a really aggressive cam also. I have HEI and I need to work on my springs as well. Glad to see you making another video.
I would say the double pumper starts a lot easier than the old carburetor. It takes a little bit of finesse when you first start it up, like you said, but it's really not too bad. I would say it's probably easier than trying to adjust the electric choke on the vacuum secondary carburetor. It also accelerates much better!
What size of tires is the guy with the blue 71 running.... I have a 73 I'm doing now with 15 inch slot mags as well..... I really like the stance he's got on the 71.... if you can help thx- BTW great channel 👍
@@steveshafer4023 Thanks for watching! His tires are bias ply, and I believe they are 29x15x10.5 or however they do their dimension. 29” tall, 15” wheel, 10.5 tread width. Technically my 275s have the same tread width, but my tires are overall much more narrow.
Anxiously awaiting to see your Contour fan install, i saw the short you posted and here i am enjoying watching your dist. recurve video. What did you end up on total timing and whens it all in? Great video
I actually didn’t change my total timing from the last time I said it. But I am 38° advanced total. I should be all in by 3200 RPM, I believe. I still do need to get a timing light on it and check it, but I’ve been driving around and haven’t had any detonation or anything.
@@FasterNLouder thats great on the no detonation. You sure have came a long way, im watching the first Javelin video now quite a find ! The 5 speed you added rocks!
What size tires is the guy with the blue javelin running? I love the stance of that car..... very old school and fat in the rear end which is how I like em'.... lol
I have a 1973 Javelin that I hope to start on this summer. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! And good luck to you!
