I'm an irrigation tech in South Louisiana and really enjoy how you keep these videos simple. I know when I'm doing installs, as a future proof and to alleviate headache I put valves on unions incase they break or need to be replaced. Looking great!
Hi Mitchell. Thanks for the nice words. If funny you mentioned using unions. I was actually talking with someone about that I think my next install I will try to use it. Like you said, fewer headaches in the future. Thanks again for the nice words.
Where are you located? I am looking for someone to install or provide advise on installing a system. I have a pond and want to filter the water for irrigation for a high tunnel greenhouse. I am located in Hessmer,La. Avoyelles Parish
Your videos are great 👍 I want to do something similar but don’t want to use the electrical valves. Still would need some kind to control the zones and avoid back flow. Feeling at a loss since I don’t have an easy way to connect to the power without spending the bank in electricians
Love the trench video! Is it possible to set up something similar to a hose spigot? I don’t have a true irrigation system tied into my main water line. Thanks!
Hi Eddie. Yeah, i have added a couple small systems using a spigot. Just make sure the water pressure is good. What I did was used a PVC fitting and screwed it into the spigot and then glued everything after that. I even up a battery-operated timer.
You should never use pipe dope on valves you stand the chance of getting residue in the pinhole of the valve, this will stop the valve from either opening or closing
Best install video I’ve found. Thanks.
Thanks John
Nice work. It’s nice to see someone using the good old classic irritrol 205.

Hi Yosbel. Both Rain Bird and K-Rain make a great timer that powered by a 9v battery. No electrical needed. Just water and a 9v battery.
From your experience, which is better, electrovanne hunter or irritrol?
I really like Irritrol valves.

Hi Alvin. Thanks for the advise. That makes total sense.
