Thank you for the great video; parts one and two. I have been going crazy whenever I had to prime the pump after cleaning or changing the check valve getting the pump primed again. First time since owning the house I was able to prime the pump per your video in under a minute!

1. All you need is the shovel to slice the grass no need for that weed eater. 2. proceed to dig at the very minimum 1 whole shovel depth (280mm) PLUS a further 100mm once that trench is cleared. 3. Square off the trench edges again. 4. Clear the trench with a garden hoe (a skinny grub hoe) Mate don’t cut corners burying services just below the soil.m PS if you encounter old pipes etc ALWAYS take your new conduit under that service. Take the extra 5 minutes to trench under the old service.

Can you explain a little more how this works? I would think the ball valve allows it to build pressure quicker, but that it would still build pressure eventually without the ball valve.

Why do you use a threaded check valve versus just a slip coupling check valve

STEP 2. Get your PRESSURE WASHER out. Install the red tip and use it to cut the trench out. You will not damage any other pipes, cable, wires, drain or gas lines. Also it only has to be as wide as your pipe.

How about inserting the funny pipe through the damaged pipe and connecting on the other side? Would that have worked?

Would it be possible for a pump to lose prime if it hadn’t rained in like two weeks? Pulling water from a well, tried priming and will not prime, even added a check valve.

TJ. After I prime my Sprinkler Water Pump, and it works successfully, when I turn it of, I hear gargaling sound throughout the pump and in the Intake line too. Then it would not pull water again when I try to restart it.. Could it be the prime water gets deciphered out of the pump and the intake line from the Output pipes, when pump gets turned off ?

My check valves ALWAYS leak on that middle seam. No matter how loose, tite, clean, monster sealer. Even tried unscrewing middle and using PVC cement. PLEASE HELP! trying to install 1 1/2" check valve for solar water heater on pool system

Being that the irrigation system generally is on a timer who’s going to be turning that valve on and off until the pump primes.

If it's not supposed to go into the index valve, where is it supposed to go? And I don't see a check valve either.

Where is your check valve installed? Right at ground level where the pipe is coming up?
