you dudes eat well! we go to Lake Berthelot with Gary - you probably see their signs on the way in. Looks like a great place you guys go...I need to check it out!!
I fished Monet Adventures around 2010 on Lac Frigon as well. That was several years before they re-did the cabin and walkway from the dock to the cabin. The cabin was just plywood and a steep dirt hill from the dock to cabin. The fishing was wonderful. Never had any issues catching walleye. Caught plenty of Pike in the high 20" range, several in the 30-40" range, and 3 or four 40"+ randge with one 47". The group before us trashed the fish hut and a bear tore up the cabin two days before we got there. Ended up seeing him half way through the week at the other end of the lake. Unfortunately the year after we went we had a trip booked and there was some ownership issues and they made the partner who booked us cancel all his bookings and we got cut. Never made it back. Would love to fish there again someday. How was the trip in? When I went you still had to take the train as they didnt have any rights to key roadways at the time. At least thats what we were told.
Man, thanks for the reply. Im just seeing it now. It was so awesome up there. 2024 will make our third trip. We now stay on the center lake giving us access to two different lakes. Super cool. The fish are much bigger in the 2nd camp. All the walleye we caught in Frigon were eater size. This past year I got a huge 29" walleye on a warm harness. The biggest our group got was 44" pike. Still hunting for that monster. What were you using for baits up there? Do you have a secret lure you used?
Keep up the good work TJ and thanks for being so nice in the neighborhood
Thanks
I Recommend going to lac dumoine in Quebec it’s my favorite place to go
Looks like a hell of a trip!!! When is the next one planned?
2024 will make year 3
