Nice job! Observations: use period correct screws, wood plate new, I think the handle should be wood too
No matter where you live in the world, everyone has an Uncle like Gear Show who can fix or restore literally anything.
Thank you!
Unfortunately i don't, but I wish I had
the color isn´t mine, but really nice restoration, I didn´t even know that something like this existed, good work and thank you for showing
Good restoration, hideous paint job.
I have a similar ice shaver, am hoping to restore it soon and have found your video very helpful. Thank you.
Really good restoration but that colour looks like old tobacco stained yellow.
I saw that shade in a baby's diaper. Not appetizing.
@@billvegas8146 don't forget...
Chocolate
Vintage, but here that thing is still common everywhere. I don't know if that's because we're poor or we just need a constant need of shaved ice. It's perfect for tropical country that consist of 2 seasons, hot and hotter.
Seeing this shiny ice shaver is greatest thing ever, great job!
Thank you very much for the video! This is great support during covid-19 treatment.
Protip. Heat the bolts up HOT.. Cherry red hot. Then let them cool. The heat breaks the corrosion that has them stuck.
Bravo , good job , thanks for video . " Be Seeing You" ! 👌
Круто!!! Спасибо за видео!!!
Nice machine, will be of much help during these hot summer days :D
awesome job at the end!
It looks very beautiful.
I never knew these existed it’s brilliant and I want one myself
Excellent 👍👍👍. Thanks for sharing
Very good job! But the colour... Anyway, it's nice machine!
Yes, thanks
Dear Sir
It is perfect, cool cool and sweet restoration.
Neat to see an old saw mill blade being re-used. That's what the zig-zags on the blade are. Old saw mill blades are often remade into decent knives, and here is one razor sharp.
What a wonderful restoration
Dude that restoration was so cool.
Great work, but not as good as your other work. The new screws and bolts make it look like a replica rather than an original. Still very entertaining to watch.
Wonderful as always
That is.on nasty looking mustard yellow!! Neat old machine though😃
Great! Cannabis snow cones for everybody!
Nice work. Good memories. And brain freeze.
Terrific gadget. Will go very well in summer.
Very nice Thing and a very good Job Love it ❤️👍
I have one just like it. I bought it new 20 years ago when I lived in Thailand. Makes great frozen margaritas.
Nice restoration. And it looks like it does a great job at shaving ice. Thumbs Up!
Une magnifique couleur colique *-* Il y avait les même grumeaux dans celle de mon chien ce matin !
Wonderful job well done
Excellent restoration. I loved this piece 😊
Chique show 👍👍 tmj!!!
That's how 7-11 got started making Icee's... Excellent job G.S...
Ottimo lavoro fratello, complimenti
En los 60' una raspadilla era imprescindible cuando íbamos a jugar al parque,,,, buen trabajo restauración
¡Bien, gracias por compartir!
Awesome sir
Amazing...
Well done!
It's time now to restore a die grinder and put it to work in the shop.
Nice my friends 👍👍👍
Sangat apic dan sempurna dalam restoration, salam dari restoration Indonesia
Cool piece!
Good job!
Perfect machine
What made you decide on a single color for the machine? They are usually multicolored like at fairs and carnivals here in Tennessee.
The one he had looks like it was just one color so he made it mono-colored?
Very cool object well done.
Nice 👍 brother .
Very well👍beautiful
Really great restoration. I wonder what it would have looked like if, instead of painting it, you just polished the metal and left that (maybe a coating to prevent rust).
Very nice. Big like 👍
Excelente !
What color is that? Barf lol great job on the restoration, but uff that color😄
Something new
Liked it
I liked your job Beautiful restoration👍
Thank you very much!
What, no battery pack to turn that handle 😜.
Another fine job! Good job on putting out videos!
Estupenda Restauración de máquina de cepillado de hielo vintage, acá en Venezuela le llamamos maquina para raspaos o cepillados, respetos y saludos.💯💯💯🤜🔥🤛👍🙏💯
That's a oldie worth having
Good restore
Hey man, congrats on another amazing video. ur the best!! Second, I would like you to consider making a video remaking a electrical scooter/bike baterry. I always wonder what's inside one of those and I guess ur the best guy on YT that could perform a wonderful video of it. Best regards.
Thanks for the idea!
Simple wow 😁
Nice 👍😉👌🥂
Neat. How artistic were they in the old days with the things they made? Enjoyable.
Could anyone go a slushy right about now??😁 Cracking restoration as always.
I'll have two please 🥛🥛😉
This video make me miss my childhood 🥺
Sweet :-)
Mechanically sound restoration. Well done. The colours are popular in south Asia, not my taste, but not my machine either. Enjoy your snow cones.
good work!
Thanks!
That's a nice dollop of engine oil on that freshly shaved ice...
nice restoration bro...but could better color....I love the Ending...
Thank you! Cheers!
Why didn't you paint the letters a different color? Make them stand out?
Vanilla ICE approved this restore.
👌👍
Pity that you used Phillips head screws. Looks nice and works well. Finish the painting with the original red details, would be good. butif your uncle will be using ...business is business.
you think you could use a battery pwered drill and brace to turn the handle to make it automatic. Is that food grade greese. Do you worry about the greese driping into the kakigoori.
I can't believe you left the paint like that, it looks like absolute garbage. Such a waste after all the work you put into it.
Use to have ice kacang or chendol from the roadside hawker back in Malaysia using this machine. Then some hawkers upgraded it to motor driven machine.
Used a color that was left over from another project?
Next video: add electric motor🤔
With battery?

With 18 volt lithium battery 😅
I was hoping this would be powder coated.
i see the same one still used back in vietnam often
Looks like paint did not stick well…
Hammered iron effect. Not a fan of the look either. Spent all that time filing down imperfections to only cover them up with "imperfect" painting effect. Also wondered about the shaving turntable and plate. That looked pretty disgusting even after the restoration.
@@myitbos1335 yeah, the plate and wooden turner looked really gross. i wish he would have restored those as well. i like the hammerite / hammered iron effect, but its only really good on certain things - a carnival ice shaver is not one of them.
Absolutely love it! Do you sell these items?
👍👍👍
neat
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ice shaver machines are all about the cutting edge!
It's better to sharpen it with a whetstone.
Also, nail is better for holding the ice firmly.
I'm no metal worker but I know that as something gets hotter it expands. That being said wouldn't it be best to heat the surrounding metal instead of the bolt directly?
Awesome I want one, how f a st is that, ready in a jiffy
Se podría usar para cortar algún tipo de fiambre o queso también...
Bravo Zulu
13:14 something get sticked in the piece being painted
The video is very exciting, it surprised me, how can I do it as well as you?
But I prefer to watch you repair power tools
Did you lead test it first?
He got rid of the paint anyway though
Is there a new machine like this for sale please i need it
thancks
Because its still in the shop, my brain assumes the shaved ice toppings at the end are motor oil and automatic transmission fluid, based on color and viscosity. 😂
Nice work. Does your uncle work as a barkeeper?
After its restoration, your uncle can make snow cones again for summer
Yes, he asks me many times about it.
