Amazing that when Motorweek debuted, this 0-60 time would have been sports car fast, and now it’s one of the slower models.

I like the people complaining about how slow they are. They just don't get it, they expect a high H.P. car that will get 55 MPG!!

    2:05 0 to 60 in 9.2 seconds sound slow but it's .8 second faster than a 99 4x4 Tahoe with a 255 hp 5.7 v8.

I have the Hybrid on order here in the UK, delivery is 6 - 9 months. For our clogged up roads 139bhp is just fine.

FYI I tried ordering one a few weeks ago and on the Kia Aebsite I was going to look at specs etc and there’s a note still to this day on top saying due to high customer demand hybrid ordering is on hold until further notice so I went with the Niro 2 Ev 👍

I've had four KIA's and loved them all.
EXCEPT that with the 2023 Niro EX, the door button on the driver's side does not work consistently. It is frustrating as hell constantly pressing the button over and over.
I took it to the dealer 3x and they really gave me the run around and lectured me it was my fault--knowing damn well this is a known problem since at least 2017.
Basically, KIA refuses to support the dealership with this issue. This leads me to wonder what else is instore.
Aside from that I've been very, very, happy with all my KIA purchases and good quality. So far.

The Niro has one advantage over the Prius - you can readily get one without dealer markup and even a discount at times. With the Toyota you're almost always going to pay over MSRP.

Look mommy they forgot to paint part of our new car!
"aeroblades"? These blackout panel ideas are something to get accustomed to. The electric Subaru face looks like a raccoon mask, and on this Kia, that panel looks like a cross between 2001 space odyssey monoliths and a starsky & hutch graphic.
Aftermarket companies, listen up, if you repro this Kia panel in a whole series of new textures, colors, prints, etc, you won't be sorry.

You can get them in 1 solid color, I just bought 1 & its all black & not flat black like the 2 tones. I don't like the ones that have the stripe on them.

My wife and I were thinking about the regular hybrid, but the power is just so low. And when you're running on just the gas engine, HP drops even further to like 119 or something. It's just not enough. Plus, that ain't cheap.

Well you either want gas mileage or not ? You can only legally drive 70 unless you live in some western states or Texas! I drove my 2019 Niro thru Texas at 105 MPH to keep up with traffic with no problem.

Kia could replace the Niro EV with the EV4 crossover since the South Korean brand may consider applying the EV# nomenclature to its EVs with such examples as the compact EV6 and 3-row EV9 SUVs.

Do you think the line up would be spoiled with an eAWD (front biased).
I would be willing to sacrifice a little acceleration and cargo space for an AWD option (but I still want a space saving spare tyre)

It's distressing that most new vehicles have this "mini SUV/hatchback" form factor. I understand it's done due to cost (manufacturers want to save on tooling and develop all their vehicles from as few platforms as possible) but it makes every 3 of 5 vehicles on the road look the same - boring. If you want a true sedan (with a real trunk) you have to get a German luxury vehicle (which I don't mind, but still...).

Alright, listen. As a former Rondo owner (who currently owns a Niro) you simply cannot blaspheme the memory of the Rondo by trotting out “cabinosity” to describe the new Niro’s cabin. It just ain’t got it.
