good job sanblasting and painting,,,,
fast working
I have to paint steel tanks with picco dtm paint at my job and have a really hard time not getting runs on them. With this paint you gotta move and spray really fast...
Good work
Hi,what kinds of blast abrasives do you usually use please?
The sandblasting effect of brown corundum abrasive will be better👍👍👍👍👍
Great video gees I get told Off for blasting slow like that 😂😂 nice paint job
He is a touch too fast.
Do you mix some thinner with that paint ?
Not while using the Airless unit. On PU some 5% at most for a smoother finish
Where are you from
Alot of shadow. Cross your pattern to eliminate the shadow on the blast.
How do i bid on these types of jobs
No stripe coating on weld areas??
It should be have a stripe coat before coating for holliday purposes
How did they get in the tank? Cut it open?
They enter from the hole
i ned jop sanblasting
You must use supplied air respirator with that topcoat. Filter cartridges do not protect you from isocyanates.
Doesn't it take a long time applying the topcoat via gravity gun?
Indeed, you are right.mthis is not the way to apply a topcoat on such big surfaces. Airmix application is far better and quicker, furthermore there are far more adjustments possible with airmix. A well trained and experienced sprayer could also use airless, the danger here is too much DFT which causes cooking blisters due to solvents not being able to exit the layer quick enough.
@@robvanderveen3578 These get baked in an oven???
No, sorrynfor the misunderstanding.in this case the term cooking has nothing to do with heat. It is an paintrelated term to describe the effect, which looks like cooking. It means that the overdose of solvent due to a too high layerthickness, forces itself out through the already drying film and thus causing very small blisters, also called pinholes.
@@robvanderveen3578 True. In which case they should use a coating with some slower solvents to keep the paint open longer, depending on what their time-to-handle window allows.
Totally correct!
