There can even be a starting cutscene that has Link mistake Tanon (Termina + Ganon) for Ganondorf. Link notices Tanon chilling and fishing, but Link, having already dealt with Ganon before, rears up and attacks. However, it was at the worse possible time as Tanon pulls up a massive fish that slaps Link in the face by complete accident. Tanon goes to apologize to and help Link, who's on the ground with Tanon's big catch. Link immediately realizes this guy isn't Ganondorf, as he absolutely would've just stomped Link dead if it was actually Ganon.
I can see the Termina headlines now: "9 year old with PTSD terrorizes local fisher man" "He broke my arm and my pots!" cried Local Fisher Man. Child refuses to comment and continues to stare blankly.
I wish that those organic Guardians showed up during the Blood Moon, like the decayed Guardians and stuff broke apart and those things came crawling out.

So, if you were to take his hat, he might give you a bunch of attitude for taking it, but still be chill enough to just ask for it back
I would LOVE to see a casual Ganon just chillin' in the Oceanside Fishing Hole. Maybe Link could even get surprised and trip down when first meeting him. He would then explain how the Gerudo pirates couldn't stand his presence at their fortress because he was male and he then he decided to start a fishing business.

The original concept for the final boss in Ocarina of Time was a fight against a massive version of Ganon that you had to climb up to defeat him. This idea was scrapped due to hardware limitations but inspired the boss fight against Megaleg in Super Mario Galaxy.
Winter Song I suppose they kind of did. The Taluses are beaten by shooting the ore n their back and then climbing up them to deal more damage. Though i would’ve liked to have seen more inspiration drawn from that idea.
Those designs would be great for a new darker Zelda game in the style of Twilight Princess or OOT's shadow tample/bottom of the well. When I played Twilight Princess as a kid those shadow beasts creeped me out, and those cut guardian designs would certainly be at least as effective and seem to fit that theme really well.
Well, at the end of the day, Zelda’s a Nintendo series. While it might get s T rating now and then, having pure nightmare fuel for the sake of it would turn off a lot of you get players. I’m all for badass monsters, but I don’t de them ever using fifty foot abominations anytime soon.

Ganondorf was actually considered for Majora's Mask (3D)? That would've been sick! I mean, his Terminian counterpart has to exist somewhere in some form. I think him just chilling in a fishing hole would've been the funniest, most ironic thing Nintendo could've pulled with him. Making friends with a guy whose medieval counterpart is a psychopathic jerk craving for power is bond to make the fishing hole a popular hangout for players. That said, I read some online role play once that depicts Ganondorf's Terminian self as a Pirate King for the Gerudo Pirates. I thought it was a really cool concept, something Nintendo could've done back when originally crafting the game. I think its a huge missed opportunity to not include him as a member of the pirate gang and pose as a final boss of their Fortress instead of the same Gerudo warrior assaulting Zora Link. It would've been a spectacular showdown for a mini dungeon, and a memorable one at that. I can always fantasize it at least. :)
The Wind Waker's Hyrule would have been best suited to having eight mini dungeons reminiscent of the Zelda 1 labyrinths to find the Triforce, instead of the garbage fetch quest we got involving the Triforce Charts. At the very least, the Triforce Charts could have unlocked keys to the mini dungeons. It'd have made The Wind Waker so much more enjoyable.
Speaking of unused Ganondorf concepts, there's a piece of concept art for the Oracle games depicting Ganondorf with a wizard robe-like outfit with a skull belt thing. And yes, Ganondorf, as in the gerudo form, not the usual blue boar Ganon form fought in the 2d games. Perhaps its what he looked like prior to his transformation following his entrance into the Dark World in LttP?

I want those creepy guardians in the game. But I don't want them advertised, I would just want players to run into them. I want their animations to be as unsettling as they look and a creepy song to start playing whenever they're nearby. I also want them to hide form the player's view as if they're studying them. Make them kinda like a rumor or some shit, idk. it'd be cool. Also Disable Screenshots when they're around so it'll be harder to get footage of them. Stir up some Rumors :p

I find it funny that Capcom made Minish Cap after Inafune had been trying to capture the Zelda formula since Megaman Legends. They did a damn good job. Guess there's a reason that Capcom is the only third part developer to ever make Zelda games.
It’s very likely that the Ganondorf/Sheik models in MM were just placeholders used to test rigs before editing them into new characters (which were ultimately cut anyway, hence why they’re just the original models with some missing or buggy elements).
Idea for that blue dungeon: So, the chamber of sages is blue and flowy too, and that is supposedly in the sacred realm, right? The triforce is also in the sacred realm. Maybe, after opening the door of time and lifting the master sword, link had to go through this "dungeon of light/time" in the sacred realm to get the triforce, only for ganondorf to take it. However, that could've been scrapped and replaced with link simply ageing, and ganondorf taking it then.
Wait.... What if they had it so there were seven mini-bosses. After each fight, link would age subtly.... Then, when you go to fight Ganondorf, you find out that this was a dream, and you've been sleeping for 7 years.....
You’re right. I read somewhere that what was in the alpha footage was actually the first idea of the Light Temple under the Temple of Time as a dungeon, with the Triforce being at the end of it. They eventually used this idea in Skyward Sword.
I believe the temple of light was going to be a dungeon but it got cut, hence Rauru just giving you the light medallion, which based on interface placement, is the last medallion. there are so many interesting things hinted at that got cut and its kinda sad, namely the wind and ice temples(possibly replaced with forest and water respectively) and light being cut altogether.
I'd liked to see a chill Ganon to be honest, or an npc that heavily resembles him! It's great fishing by yourself and all but it's nice to have company too! Maybe those models were just place holders?
There's a ton of cut content from Ocarina of time. My favorite being that the sage medallions were originally intended to be used with the bow to make special arrows. Only 3 stayed in. Fire, Ice and Light. The water temple was originally an ice temple, that's why the emblem is a snowflake. Also the forest temple was originally the wind temple, that's why it's a windmill, also the small sections of both of those dungeons in Ganons tower are based on ice/wind puzzles respectively.
I'm just picturing Ganondorf, Shiek and Impa chilling out, fishing and drinking on the shore as buds where Ganondorf is chill and laid back yet Shiek freaks out every time they lose a fish

For those of you who didn't hear about this before BotW was announced, there was supposedly going to be another WiiU Zelda title. It was part of a "leaked" E3 document. I was really hoping for it, and it might explain some of the guardian concepts. The name was The Legend of Zelda: Shard of Nightmare.
The early OoT footage was actually a 3D reimagining of the dungeons from the first Legend of Zelda. That's why it ends with Link finding the Triforce; because pieces of the Triforce were the original dungeon rewards.
The hype train just never stops for me. Even at times like right now when nothing happens and that I know that the next trailer will be out in like 2 years followed by the actual game in probably 4 years, it never stops... So yay, I'm ready x)
It would be awesome if Link could steal his hat (like in the OOT fishing game) and Ganondorph goes ballistic shooting his energy tennis balls at Link only to quickly regain his composure and say, "ahem, sorry, but it's against the rules to steal the finishing attendant's hat."

7:22 I might be remembering wrong or just remembering from other videos but I could have sworn that a strategy guide was released early that in the Zoras Domain that there was this little crevice under the water you could walk down under and was supposed to go to a treasure chest does anyone know where this came from or am I just remembering wrong I know there was a strategy Guys released early that had things different than what was in the actual game
there is in fact a hole under the little island thing with the fairy fountain in the SoS hole on top. You can access it in OoT3D using a simple glitch to clip through a wall and using the iron boots to get under the ice. there isn't a load zone or anything for it, it's just an empty doorway in the rock. Definitely cut content of some sort
With the majoras mask one where ganon is in a fishing hole, it is most likey because they reused assets from ocarina of time and they were going to remodel them into different Characters
In the Summer of 2000, I recall taking part in Camp Hyrule through Nintendo’s website. In one of the chats, I introduced the idea that the Moon in Majora’s Mask was Ganondorf’s counterpart in Termina. Crazy, I know, but I was just a teenager. I recall one of the NOA people in the chat room ran with that idea I had and it created a little buzz at least throughout all the Camp Hyrule chats. Those were the days.
I honestly think the really thin, wispy Guardian design is the most terrifying. It looks like some sort of parasite that would come out of a dead spider...

It seems like every iteration, they're cutting more and more content. BOTW felt so empty. It would have been nice if they had more secrets. I would have rather had secret holes everywhere with 1 or 2 rooms where you fight and get rupees or prizes instead of those ugly shrines. The shrines just felt like a rip off of portal and they were all just copy and paste blue walls.
Maru Misu and even then they still had to delay it over and over to put something more. i dont mind botw, but i believe the next zelda will be them doing their homework, less empty, more content.
@@KOTEBANAROT I would have been happy if they made the map tiny and had 6 or 7 really good short dungeons. The only part that actually felt like zelda was going through hyrule castle, which is sad because it's completely optional. They could have completely gotten rid of the shrines and just put copy and paste hyrule castles everywhere and that would have made the game so much better. I wouldn't even mind if they reused the map and just added Dungeons that resemble hyrule castle across the map. I mean if they're really lazy at least just put a color filter on the walls and make them red and yellow and green and purple instead of all the shrines being blue and all the divine beasts being sandstone. There's just so many bad decisions they made in this game. I think they spent 99% of the development time making the overworld and they forgot to make a game.
I believe the next game will have more content and hopefully including actual dungeons again, since unlike BotW’s development, they don’t have to spend all that time and resources developing a new engine and can instead just use BotW’s engine. Leaves more time for extra content.
My uncle told me when I was little that if you unlock everything in the game, open all chests, find all the golden skull tokens, get all the hearts ect.....You'll unlock the Triforce in Ocarina of Time.....Imagine the look on his face when I did just that after grinding for a few weeks....
8:31 I've seen that frame so many times on a website called The Odyssey of Hyrule which came out shortly after Ocarina of Time did, but I never gave any thought to where it came from. Now I know. Too bad the website no longer exists.
I recall one piece of evidence the fanbase used to point to, that the Triforce was obtainable in OoT was the greyed out symbol at the centre of the Medallion screen of the item menu. A theory being you had to playthough the game three times to obtain the three pieces and get the "True Ending", as you end the game with Link already in possession of one. Of course these were among the same theories that also believed you could unfreeze the Zoras Domain as Adult Link, too.

Ganondorf was actually considered for Majora's Mask (3D)? That would've been sick! I mean, his Terminian counterpart has to exist somewhere in some form.
I think him just chilling in a fishing hole would've been the funniest, most ironic thing Nintendo could've pulled with him. Making friends with a guy whose medieval counterpart is a psychopathic jerk craving for power is bond to make the fishing hole a popular hangout for players.
That said, I read some online role play once that depicts Ganondorf's Terminian self as a Pirate King for the Gerudo Pirates. I thought it was a really cool concept, something Nintendo could've done back when originally crafting the game. I think its a huge missed opportunity to not include him as a member of the pirate gang and pose as a final boss of their Fortress instead of the same Gerudo warrior assaulting Zora Link. It would've been a spectacular showdown for a mini dungeon, and a memorable one at that. I can always fantasize it at least. :)

The Wind Waker's Hyrule would have been best suited to having eight mini dungeons reminiscent of the Zelda 1 labyrinths to find the Triforce, instead of the garbage fetch quest we got involving the Triforce Charts. At the very least, the Triforce Charts could have unlocked keys to the mini dungeons. It'd have made The Wind Waker so much more enjoyable.

Speaking of unused Ganondorf concepts, there's a piece of concept art for the Oracle games depicting Ganondorf with a wizard robe-like outfit with a skull belt thing.
And yes, Ganondorf, as in the gerudo form, not the usual blue boar Ganon form fought in the 2d games. Perhaps its what he looked like prior to his transformation following his entrance into the Dark World in LttP?

I want those creepy guardians in the game. But I don't want them advertised, I would just want players to run into them. I want their animations to be as unsettling as they look and a creepy song to start playing whenever they're nearby. I also want them to hide form the player's view as if they're studying them. Make them kinda like a rumor or some shit, idk. it'd be cool. Also Disable Screenshots when they're around so it'll be harder to get footage of them. Stir up some Rumors :p

I find it funny that Capcom made Minish Cap after Inafune had been trying to capture the Zelda formula since Megaman Legends. They did a damn good job. Guess there's a reason that Capcom is the only third part developer to ever make Zelda games.

It’s very likely that the Ganondorf/Sheik models in MM were just placeholders used to test rigs before editing them into new characters (which were ultimately cut anyway, hence why they’re just the original models with some missing or buggy elements).
What if Ganondorf being at the fishing hole is why you can use the Fierce Deity Mask there?

So, the chamber of sages is blue and flowy too, and that is supposedly in the sacred realm, right?
The triforce is also in the sacred realm.
Maybe, after opening the door of time and lifting the master sword, link had to go through this "dungeon of light/time" in the sacred realm to get the triforce, only for ganondorf to take it.
However, that could've been scrapped and replaced with link simply ageing, and ganondorf taking it then.

You’re right. I read somewhere that what was in the alpha footage was actually the first idea of the Light Temple under the Temple of Time as a dungeon, with the Triforce being at the end of it. They eventually used this idea in Skyward Sword.
I believe the temple of light was going to be a dungeon but it got cut, hence Rauru just giving you the light medallion, which based on interface placement, is the last medallion. there are so many interesting things hinted at that got cut and its kinda sad, namely the wind and ice temples(possibly replaced with forest and water respectively) and light being cut altogether.
I'd liked to see a chill Ganon to be honest, or an npc that heavily resembles him! It's great fishing by yourself and all but it's nice to have company too!

There's a ton of cut content from Ocarina of time. My favorite being that the sage medallions were originally intended to be used with the bow to make special arrows. Only 3 stayed in. Fire, Ice and Light. The water temple was originally an ice temple, that's why the emblem is a snowflake. Also the forest temple was originally the wind temple, that's why it's a windmill, also the small sections of both of those dungeons in Ganons tower are based on ice/wind puzzles respectively.
IMO some of those guardians would have been an awesome addition!

I was really hoping for it, and it might explain some of the guardian concepts. The name was The Legend of Zelda: Shard of Nightmare.

The early OoT footage was actually a 3D reimagining of the dungeons from the first Legend of Zelda. That's why it ends with Link finding the Triforce; because pieces of the Triforce were the original dungeon rewards.

Wasn't that concept really the idea of the sailcloth "warping" in Skyward Sword?? If anything, I'd like to have seen the three surface regions linked (pun not intended) at some point so you didn't have to go back up and ride that stupid bird over to the next hole in the clouds. 7:22 I might be remembering wrong or just remembering from other videos but I could have sworn that a strategy guide was released early that in the Zoras Domain that there was this little crevice under the water you could walk down under and was supposed to go to a treasure chest does anyone know where this came from or am I just remembering wrong I know there was a strategy Guys released early that had things different than what was in the actual game
there is in fact a hole under the little island thing with the fairy fountain in the SoS hole on top. You can access it in OoT3D using a simple glitch to clip through a wall and using the iron boots to get under the ice. there isn't a load zone or anything for it, it's just an empty doorway in the rock. Definitely cut content of some sort

With the majoras mask one where ganon is in a fishing hole, it is most likey because they reused assets from ocarina of time and they were going to remodel them into different Characters

In the Summer of 2000, I recall taking part in Camp Hyrule through Nintendo’s website. In one of the chats, I introduced the idea that the Moon in Majora’s Mask was Ganondorf’s counterpart in Termina. Crazy, I know, but I was just a teenager.
I recall one of the NOA people in the chat room ran with that idea I had and it created a little buzz at least throughout all the Camp Hyrule chats.
Those were the days.

Those unused BOTW guardians look like some kind of SCP's.
It seems like every iteration, they're cutting more and more content. BOTW felt so empty. It would have been nice if they had more secrets. I would have rather had secret holes everywhere with 1 or 2 rooms where you fight and get rupees or prizes instead of those ugly shrines. The shrines just felt like a rip off of portal and they were all just copy and paste blue walls.
Maru Misu and even then they still had to delay it over and over to put something more. i dont mind botw, but i believe the next zelda will be them doing their homework, less empty, more content.
@@KOTEBANAROT I would have been happy if they made the map tiny and had 6 or 7 really good short dungeons. The only part that actually felt like zelda was going through hyrule castle, which is sad because it's completely optional. They could have completely gotten rid of the shrines and just put copy and paste hyrule castles everywhere and that would have made the game so much better. I wouldn't even mind if they reused the map and just added Dungeons that resemble hyrule castle across the map. I mean if they're really lazy at least just put a color filter on the walls and make them red and yellow and green and purple instead of all the shrines being blue and all the divine beasts being sandstone. There's just so many bad decisions they made in this game. I think they spent 99% of the development time making the overworld and they forgot to make a game.
I believe the next game will have more content and hopefully including actual dungeons again, since unlike BotW’s development, they don’t have to spend all that time and resources developing a new engine and can instead just use BotW’s engine. Leaves more time for extra content.

My uncle told me when I was little that if you unlock everything in the game, open all chests, find all the golden skull tokens, get all the hearts ect.....You'll unlock the Triforce in Ocarina of Time.....Imagine the look on his face when I did just that after grinding for a few weeks....

I've seen that frame so many times on a website called The Odyssey of Hyrule which came out shortly after Ocarina of Time did, but I never gave any thought to where it came from. Now I know.

I recall one piece of evidence the fanbase used to point to, that the Triforce was obtainable in OoT was the greyed out symbol at the centre of the Medallion screen of the item menu. A theory being you had to playthough the game three times to obtain the three pieces and get the "True Ending", as you end the game with Link already in possession of one. Of course these were among the same theories that also believed you could unfreeze the Zoras Domain as Adult Link, too.
