I've messed around a lot with shotguns, firing all types of ammo...be it slugs, buckshot, birdshot, and turkey loads. I swear, the turkey loads kick the most, by far. I don't know exactly why, but I think it is a combination of full charge powder loads combined with the largest weight of shot. If you think about it, buckshot loads have a lot of airspace in the shell because the larger projectiles cannot pack very solidly... Or maybe that isn't the reason, but if you doubt me, take a lightweight pump shotgun and fire a 3" or 3.5" turkey load through it. They beat the crap out of you.
I have a synthetic stock 3.5" Supermag 870. I have shot elephant rifles of all weights and calibers. Multitude of weights and loads out of .458, 416, .375. Nothing and I mean nothing comes close to the recoil of a 3.5" 2oz turkey load out of that 870. I had a buddy tell me once there's no way it recoiled harder than hot rod slugs. I gave him one 2 oz load. When it went off his sunglasses flew off his face and he turned and looked at me with the WTF!!! look.
@@gearjammergamer8560 A buddy of mine has a lightweight .300 Win Mag he uses to hunt moose and elk. He was going on and on about how the recoil is almost intolerable. He had me shoot it, and yeah it kicked a bit, but I would say it was less than half as punishing as 3" turkey loads out of my Remington 870. They are absolutely brutal.

Reminds me of James Caan, playing "Mississippi", shooting his cut down 12 Gauge double barrel in "El Dorado"! That was an expensive shotgun shell there with the Tiger Furby!
When it went off his sunglasses flew off his face and he turned and looked at me with the WTF!!! look.
The more bang and more weight heading down range, the more the force heading in the opposite direction. Simple physics. 👍
Yeah, turkey loads in 3” or 3 1/2” are no joke. Only round that is not enjoyable to shoot.
I've never shot 3 1/2" shells, but 3" buckshot is worse than Turkey loads.
Love this gun. Would make an awesome "last resort " piece in a home arsenal
Scott I have to admit I'm jealous and happy for you all at the same time. Ever since I fist saw the Road Warrior I have wanted one of those(what gun guy doesn"t). Totally awesome! And it shoots 3 1/2 inch shells! WOW! Do yourself a favor and try and find some Lightfield Commander 3 1/2 '' shells. They are incredible. Mustard was cool. I laughed out loud after you blasted that water jug. Looked like you just got off the log ride at Six Flags! Sweet new four wheeler.
4:00 FARCRY4 be like
4:54 Good riddance.
"So the recoils not that bad with birdshot"
*almost snaps wrist* 😂
he is anti furry 4:51
Absolutly enjoyed this video as always!!! 😎👍👍👍
This thing is a Boomstick😜
Sawed off shotguns with a pistolgrip are not allowed here in germany. Absolutly no way to get something like this legal. ...so cool to see it! 😎
Kentucky Ballistics? MORE LIKE Kentucky BUTTLIPSTICK🤣🤣👍🔥👌🤯😁
Watching this takes be back 5 years to a quarry with my brother and I fired my first shotgun, a 20g Stoeger coach gun and my first Centerfire rifle, a 91/30 Mosin Nagant.
👍🏻👍🏻
Hey Kentucky Ballistics, I absolutely love your videos man! Quick question, how can someone go about owning a sawed off pistol grip shotgun? I thought the barrel had to be a certain length amongst other things? Thanks again for the creative content, keep it up! 👍🏻
I’m really confused how he can own one
did just a little search and im guessing this is one of those things we just dont talk about
@@DangerToSociety69 lol
You can if you own a Class 2 gun license and full auto with a Class 3
Reminds me of James Caan, playing "Mississippi", shooting his cut down 12 Gauge double barrel in "El Dorado"!
That was an expensive shotgun shell there with the Tiger Furby! Out of the box they are going for around $50 (even non working ones are $25 and up!) and one that had it's original box sold for over $4,500! 😳😵💫
Exactly, sold to him by the Sweed! I always thought it was funny that John Wayne was able to ascertain that Mississippi would never get the hang of shooting a revolver after only firing one round!😄
@@afterburner2869 Yep! Shoots and hits the Catus to the left of the one Cole shot. "Were you aiming at that Cholla"? "No,.. the same place you were shooting at"!
@@kevinfleming9919 I do believe it’s cayenne pepper, croton oil, asafoetida, mustard the hot kind, ipecac. I almost forgot gunpowder!
@@afterburner2869 and after that, (Cole) "Are you sure Johnny Diamond wasn't an embalmer"?! 🤣 lol! Love that movie.
Scott is the sickest gunmen no doupt.Evrebody on the planet shood see his videos.
Jesus Loves you all very much!!!! God Bless everyone!!!!
Oh my God, and a reference to evil dead to a boom stick meet in Grand Rapids, Michigan! You have all my love that is beautiful. Sign on 12 gauges are typically only for federal agents up here but it’s handy for close encounters of the unfriendly kind I love it.❤
10:52 Me: "Scott... what are you doing with that rope...?" 👀 LMAO
I remember the road warrior, the man we called Scott, to understand who he was, you have to go back to another time, when the world was powered by the black fuel. Awesome. Just Awesome.
This is my *BOOM* stick. A 12 gauge double barrel Remington. S-Marts top of the line!
Lol he looks like he’s havin some fun. I love it.
The Remington Road Warrior Looks Like so Much Fun to Shoot
Damn the tables don't half get some abuse on this channel 😭😭😭 lool 😂😂
BBB Goose shot is the best load for a scattergun. The steel shot doesn't flat note like lead. So if you want to do a Ricochet shot bouncing around a corner it is doable
Nice angles. I love looking at a guys back while he shoots
