Seriously , what an amazing tutorial. I just loved it. U explained everything in detail, even u shared the shortcuts in ur tutorial. This is really very helpful. Its short and crisp but super firm. Loved it and thank you for such an amazing tutorial. Pls make more. I am a beginner in blender so i kinda need these tutorials .
honestly i was panicking indeed, because im a media student and the dr has asked us to make a 3D animation 2 minutes long video, and we are literally starting from point 0 so it's very stressful, and im supposed to draw the background scenes for my storyboard submission tomorrow, which is about 5 background to do in blender, so i kept stressing to the point i had a breakdown and ur soft voice made me cry even more in such a lonely helpless situation, so im gonna watch ur videos in hope they relief my stress a bit and help me thru this project❤
Hey Shanaya, thank you so much for this tutorial! It was so simple and easy to work as per the instructions. glad i found this. subbed you already will we looking for more content.
make sure at the top left next to edit mode you have vertex select on, I had edge select on so for me it was a bit wonky when I tried to bevel the two vertices
The bevel doesn't work for me ): when I do it, it stays flat and it doesn't bevel the area like you did in the video. Iv tried applying the transformation to the plane before beveling and still nothing
Try Hitting Control B and moving your mouse in another direction OR hit - TAB and choose bevel tool from the tool bar and set the Bevel amount. This should solve your problem.
You have duplicated vertices for some reason. Had the same problem. In Edit Mode, select the Plane and go to Mesh -> Cleanup -> Merge by Distance. Little Info Box at the bottom will show you how many vertices have been deleted. It should work afterwards.
2025: if CTRL + B (Bevel) is not working, select the 2 vertex and then Right click -> Merge -> By Distance, now it should bevel! Then, if the bevel is not "centered", first you need to apply the scale to the object: in Object Mode, select the object, CTRL + A and select Scale, then you can select the vertex and do CTRL + B, it should work! PS: You can use the scroll-wheel to increase the number of cuts instead of pressing CTRL+B multiple times
😀' I haven't watched the video yet....but I wanted to tell everybody that I found out this awesome way to get the perfect bevel everytime on your backdrop you just turn off overlays in edit mode while you make the bevel and make sure your camera is already in the place you want it in front of your object that you're making the backdrop for... You can get the perfect bevel every time
Quick question (I’m new to blender), after you’ve created this background, can you sculpt a model/form in front of it, or alternatively, can you import a sculpted form into the same page in front of the background?
It looks like a great tutorial. Do you know how to export all of these to GTA V singleplayer? :D I'm using menyoo in the game and i need a background like that for pictures.
Please create more videos !!!! You are explaining very well. Dont stop U can be the next blender guru

you have to press ctrl + B to bevel, and you can scroll to make it with more curves
Worked nicely... Thanks for sharing...

Hi, I'm a noob, how do you choose that layout in that version of blender? Thanks a mill...
I would love to help but by layout do you mean the color mode? It's in the render mode with cycles engine.
