2025: if CTRL + B (Bevel) is not working, select the 2 vertex and then Right click -> Merge -> By Distance, now it should bevel! Then, if the bevel is not "centered", first you need to apply the scale to the object: in Object Mode, select the object, CTRL + A and select Scale, then you can select the vertex and do CTRL + B, it should work! PS: You can use the scroll-wheel to increase the number of cuts instead of pressing CTRL+B multiple times

honestly i was panicking indeed, because im a media student and the dr has asked us to make a 3D animation 2 minutes long video, and we are literally starting from point 0 so it's very stressful, and im supposed to draw the background scenes for my storyboard submission tomorrow, which is about 5 background to do in blender, so i kept stressing to the point i had a breakdown and ur soft voice made me cry even more in such a lonely helpless situation, so im gonna watch ur videos in hope they relief my stress a bit and help me thru this project❤

Blender is so much a bad and stuborn horse, it never do what i want !!!! I come from Cinema4d. If i hit ctrl b it make the new edges but the ground and the wall is still in a 90 degree corner and never get round with many more deviding lines... 😞 Blender is realy all other than easy compared with Cinema 4d !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
