Best Dirt Bike Chainsaw Ever?

- Stealth Cow! I've got a Honda CRF450R and a DeWalt 20V 12" chainsaw → amzn.to/3T79Iz1 that I want to haul on it for clearing trails. There's nothing on the market to put the two together and a quart bottle of saw oil. And when this idea came to me I wouldn't have time to wait for shipping if such a thing did exist. So I used some aluminum I had and a spool gun and fabricated it to work exactly the way I wanted it to be.
That’s some serious mad max equipment
SIMPLY AWESOME
Flower of life shirt is a great vibe, I dig it
Brian your ability is only rivaled by your calm demeanor and patience, Wtg brother! Yep I subd
Thank you!
Just a silly question, is power steering fluid your bar oil? Never used that for bar oil before, have used mineral oil in a pinch before. Your chain saw mount looks looks great.
Ha! Good question! I use Husqvarna or Stihl bar oil in my saws. My quart bottle of the same shape leaked bar oil all over as I mentioned. Because I was in the garage and just did a P/S job, I grabbed the partial used bottle of power steering fluid of the same dimensions to finish testing and filming. At the end of the video you see an orange bottle in use (or at least I do while editing in post).
Love my DeWalt
Awesome engineering skills!
Thanks!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇲 excellent Brian. Outstanding. Thanks for the video, and adaptation of the build.
Thanks Dave!
Those cows. 😂
I should have got some GoPro to some on-trail reactions. They were SO confused. A lot more than I expected.
Almost thought i was listening to Deboss garage.
Rich is awesome! I take that as a compliment.
Love you vids Brian! Long live Alice, and her restaurant. Keep up the good work, we're all counting on you.
Great video buddy!
Thanks Danny!
How well did you "wipe out proof" the set-up? Will it stay in place during a crash?
It did! lol And did great.
Great work Brian! Still a little skeptical on the longevity of the battery operated chain saw versus gas powered especially with how much clearing you did. I have an electric chain saw since I use it on fairly rare occasion every 2 yrs or so
Valid concern for sure. I brought every yellow battery I had. And I only used 1/2 of 1 5AH battery for the main part of the trail I showed. If you have good chain/dirt/rock management, you're golden. If you get in the dirt and lose efficiency and don't sharpen you're done. The RPM's are way lower. And the torque is way higher. This means less momentum, less kick-back by far. And less damage if/when you do hit dirt or a nail because less of the chain is affected- it's going slower.
Thanks for the versatility ideas
Glad you like them!
Very impressive rebuild video. Are you up for a brand collaboration? We do the business in the field of small engine parts and we are looking for youtubers to work with to help more people know the tips of small engine repair.
