I’m building a saw mount for my bike right now. It will also double as a spot for a couple fuel bottles or extra gear for longer expeditions. I have the same saw with a few mods. If you open up the exhaust in behind the spark arrestor and advance the timing a touch it really wakes it up. I also changed out the stock .043 bar and chain for .050 so I could run the better 63PS chain. It has some bark now. Great vid as always. Build trail.
Cool. I'll be making a saw mount for my 2018 yz250. I take my still 170 with me on every ride on my sportsman 1000xp. I feel stupid not having it when I trail build while out on the yz.
You should make the bottom of the chainsaw mount go into where the front number plate goes on the front fender ; like the two little holes where the number plate holds.
I just hold my chainsaw in my mouth! But all jokes aside it seems the harness is heavier than the saw it self. A nice back would be better idea but then again after you use the saw it might burn your backpack off!
Jason haha yeah haven’t weighed the mount, it’s thin square tubbing though not very heavy. Problem with the back mount is that the handeling is a lot worse. Having that front wheel traction is actually pretty nice especially on hill climbs
Think it should hold it fine, the design has allowed us to run different saws no problem as opposed to some of the other mounts are made specific for specific saws
Trailbound co I would like to see some pics of this mount you speak of. I just bought a “Bill Dart” made mount but I might need another for spare bike. Also some prices 👍🏾🇺🇸

Bryce Heying thanks Bryce, I’ve since revised the design and have a really nice setup going. Having a buddy cnc them

Thought about that but might put to much stress on the fender?
Just waiting for this to get back in stock
Email me I’ll put you on the wait list
@@TrailBoundco awesome thank you

Trail Bound co I trust you are right! Dose it also hold the 201 ?

@@TrailBoundco I just bought a 2511 and wanting to build a mount what all did you do to mount it up.
A couple of my favorite things. Chainsaws and dirtbikes! Thanks for sharing this. I’ve got a stihl ms180c I’m trying to mount up to my Katoom .
James Bramblett ours too! Check out new instagram.com/trailcutters we’ve been developing a rad chainsaw rack that should be out soon too
