    I was just doing some research and I couldn’t believe how many people misspelled words, on their POD shirts, and they were considered “best sellers.”😮 They were not misspelled as in a joke word, they were just bad at spelling. I couldn’t believe that people would be buying it.

    Thanks for this :) About 8 years ago, when it was a good thing and before Etsy translated, I added in tags as well as blurbs in my description in German for my fairly large long hair community base there. From what I'm hearing now, it's better if I keep everything in English and let Etsy translate? I think I have about 40-60 listings with mixed language.
    Out of 230 listings I have 2 best sellers, so I sell 1-10 close to daily...about 50 good sellers that sell 1-5 times weekly, and then fillers that sell seasonally better or trickle in sales, and then about 30 artisan style OOAK that usually sell within a few months to a year....then there's always a few duds that don't sell so they get scrapped in January.

    • @etsyconsultant
      @etsyconsultant  2 года назад

      Hey Elew, most people let Etsy translate because they cannot be bothered to do all that extra work, BUT as I mentioned if you can do better in your translations, and have the will and time to do it...you should.

    Hey Nick, hope you're well! Thanks, as usual, for a terrific video. I have a few questions regarding pod t-shirt listings and ranking. Specifically, does the Etsy algorhythm rank a store and/or a listing differently for a simple listing (one design), and a complex listing (more than one design, combining several products from my print provider and entering the SKUs for each variation manually)? I like creating complex listings, I feel they add dimension. But it's quite time consuming. Am I doing more work for the exact same ranking result as a simple listing? Also, would creating these more time consuming listings garner more interest in my store in the long term, making them worth my time and effort? One more question (lol, I just want to get this right). What would you think about many separate listings instead of one complex listing? For instance, the exact same graphic and text, but a different skin tone on the person in the graphic for each listing, using 3 skin tones. Thanks so much for taking the time to consider my questions.

If I get rid of non sellers and put them in the deactivated - what happens if I go below 100 products. Knitting patterns take a long time to produce so I cant just produce them in a morning. Hi Ruth and thanks for your important question.
      So, in your case, you have to start listing management and slowly swap out listings that are dead (0 sales and 3 renewals or more), with fresh NEW listings.
      Make sure you do this slowly, 1 listing per day is fine.
      Making copies AND improving the copies then deleting the original listing, as Ovi partially mentioned, is good as a backup plan, but we want to try and list new replacement products.
