There are plenty on here who spout about how much they earn by searching and pretty much stealing ideas but calling it inspiration. They interview others who profess to selling thousands but rarely cover the work that it literally takes to design, upload, write product info, mock ups ect. They ALL jump on to selling/promoting the same paid for tool, or courses. I realised a while ago they're just very good sales people. One guy who sells sticker has a good yt. He shares his shop and has solid info. But honest ones are Few and far between. That's why you are a refreshing, upfront bloke with brilliant info. I imagine they hate your honesty. So thanks. ;D
Hi Dame, and thanks for your really interesting comment, I literally could write a book in a reply to you! You are bang on the money in what you say, and I KNOW what they are all up to behind the scenes. Yes, I am already being trashed in other "etsy guru" videos, and honestly I could not care less because I know what I am, and what I do is at the highest level possible. At the same time as being trashed though, they ALL copied my social media video, and now they are copying my "attitude" style as well in their thumbnails, but that's fine, originals create, copies imitate! Yea I know the sticker guy, he's OK, and its good he has transparency, the overwhelming majority of them will not show you anything data wise to back their videos up...and yes they are selling courses and want you on their email list, which in itself is fine, but the problem is they do not know what they are talking about, and that is what I have a problem with. Thanks for your kind words, I really appreciate knowing what you think, it helps me understand how my content, and indeed me, are perceived.
@@bettycooper369 My guess is they are talking about Tim Koa. He seems like a really humble guy who has worked really hard to figure things out the best he could and has actually been surprised by his own success. Check out some of his earlier videos if you want to know his backstory.
Totally achievable. We are in month 3 on Etsy with our handmade soap company and we will have £1000 revenue this month. Steady listing and planning, making a good product, delivering good customer service and exceeding expectations. I’ve been doing e-commerce in the second hand market on eBay since 2002, I just adjusted and learned and listen to you
Your channel is amazing! I just opened my store (2 weeks ago) and have been following every step you tell here. I have 10 sales made in 2 weeks. Thanks for all the great content!!
Do you mind me asking what you’re selling? I’m having difficulty with my store and I think I need to switch niches. I’m currently doing POD t shirts and I think I need to get out of it.
I guess slow and steady wins the race, even with Etsy. I am so glad I found you, because I wanted to start a store, but I kept thinking, making a hundred designs, quickly will take so long, but I can do 1 to 2 a day. Thank you for all your info….and your short, to the point, videos. I appreciate it.
You're no BS Etsy tutorial videos are amazing. I'm glad I clicked on one of your videos when I did a search for Etsy tool reviews. This is eye opening for me since I'm just starting out on Etsy. It's like you giving me permission to relax a little bit and to reprioritized for next year instead of trying to rush into Q4. I appreciate you making this video.
Hi! Me again... and the emotional journey since watching this video yesterday... I already knew that I wanted to learn more about creating digital products for Etsy, and was delighted when Nik spoke about it in this video. Then, having been given the niche suggestion as well, off I went as excited as... (because I'd been struggling with niche-ing down before). So I started exploring the said niche, and then had a panic moment, realising that I know diddly-squat about the subject, in detail at any rate, just in layman's terms. Panic over, off I head to good ol' "Chatty" and after some sorting, I've (it has / we have!) come up with a list of 71 items that I could start creating for potential digital sales (some would also lend themselves to POD at a later date). And some of the suggestions can be turned into multiple variations so in fact, the 71 could turn into so many more products. Thanks, Nik for pointing me in the right direction😃 Now then, off to do some work...
I started a shop in August this year, sort of an experiment with POD. It’s okay but I learned so much from it. I’ve been working slowly to create a blueprint for a new store. I want to provide handmade items and my goal was to launch in January 2024. I’ve been watching a lot of your videos and they are always full of the best advice. I love this challenge and I’m going to make sure to focus and implement your advice in the new shop this January.
Ready, ready! Started in December with a decor shop. Saw my first sales in Dec. Did good, not fantastic but good. January is slower, doing a sale a week. Gonna open another shop soon that’s all personalized. Love your vids. Been broke for a very long time, but not broken.
This is the most straightforward video I’ve ever watched; and I’ve been working on my Etsy store since January 2022. This is the second video of yours that I’ve watched, and I can’t wait to see more. THANK YOU, you have no idea how much I appreciate your clear perspective, I needed this right now 🙏
Ive just discovered you! Amazing content and raw material! I'm ready to start in January 2024... my niche is the candle world...i hope i can make those big sales! Thanks again!
This is a perfect time i already planned my strategy and all that strategy based on the things i learned on your videos, i watched ur videos from the start, Thankyou so much. I will start POD this year 2025 wish me luck"🥰🥰🥰 I will come back to this comment when I succeed next year.
I’m so glad u mention getting just 1-2 listings in a day because I’ve been listening to other videos (before finding u) and they say to do 50-100 listings a day and omg it took me a full day to get my first listing up - I just don’t have a process yet and im a bit of a perfectionist which im working on… but thank u for this reality check!
Hi, yes please don't ever do this, the people that say to list 50 or 100 items in a day have no idea what they are talking about. I literally deal with clients who come to me every week with stores that have 500 or more items in and no sales having followed this bad advice. 1 listing a day is the way.
I started in January a downloadable art shop. My own art and vintage art. Have made 20 sales( low price point) I'm excited to keep going, it's been fun!
I am ready ! My shop is not already open, but i will do it in february. Now, i do my listing for a digital download business... You will see me in 1 year ! Thanks for your good advices !
Its March 02 today and I opened my etsy store 10 days ago. I am selling digital download items with POD in the fantasy niche. Its not january but I'm committed. Im Trying to to push 1 item a day. I've discovered your channel a few days ago and I wanted to thank you for all this valuable information. You are a blessing. Thank you good sir!
I started a digital download shop in October. Have 28 listings and put new ones on regularly. But have had I sale a Halloween print. So I intend to keep going next year. Your advice is going to be so helpful. Thank you.
These videos are so valuable. How to we determine if a niche is overdone? Because now 1,000 people have seen your page, and if everyone is doing astrology, then what room is there left? Thoughts on how to niche that further down?
well, i've already lost 6 months, i'm not waiting any longer. starting right away following all (the rest of) your advice! will definitely let you know, let the world know when my etsy store gets on going with Santa on board! thank you for all the help!
That is so interesting - thank you very much - a little late to start a new niche now, but something to think about most definitely. Wish I had seen this earlier in the year...
This info is amazing, thanks so much!! It's December 30, so I am going to start my new Etsy shop on January 2nd! So excited to try your methods - going to try the supplies category.
Hello, It's been 2 weeks since I stopped doing daily sales, and for the first week, it was good, and sales continued even though there were no more shop sales... However this week the sales have slowed down considerably, and I find this surprising despite the fact that this is the holiday shopping season, usually my busiest
Hey Lanefasts, yes I am also seeing this, just to give you some perspective, one of my clients who does $6 million a year on Etsy is 45% down this November versus last year, although please remember covid and the spending that went on then.
Love this video! I have a mock up shop with some digital downloads on it - after seeing this video I might open it up to Astrology digital downloads too!
Whoop Whoop, digital downloads 👍As you might see from another (slightly long-winded) comment of mine on another of your tutorials (What Is Coming in 2024 - Be Part Of It) I'm really interested in creating digital downloads, and now you've suggested the niche to boot! (I was struggling with that) Happy as...😅 Thank you Nik😊
No problem Lesley, make SURE you watch my new complete Etsy store course video, which premieres next Wednesday, link is below to get notified!: ruclips.net/video/JCJjk4xkhB4/видео.html
Hi, I opened my shop on 14the November 2022. And it's been very very slow like I was loosing hope but now I came upon your channel just a couple of days ago and am still going to implement these ways as if I'm starting a fresh shop. My shop is about crochet goods.
Yesssss! I’m going to do this in January! Astrology is actually something I love so the digital download shop sounds right up my alley 😃 Thank you so much for this!
My shop is 4 years old. I've sold mostly crystal and I've not been very energetic about it. I do have some supplies for sewing, so I could try to offer those to see how it works. I do have a question - you said to add price and shipping. Is this just to get a decent profit margin? Because Etsy will add the shipping on top of that. Thanks and I'm so glad I found your videos.
Thanks for being here! Yes it is to make sure you are being paid for the work you do, and also to see which shipping model works best for your store, try both and see. You add shipping not Etsy FYI.
Thanks Nik, great video. I think it’s important to say that unless you have an interest in these niches then it’s highly unlikely to work for you. Motivation and enthusiasm are driven by passion for the items being sold.
I've always been interested in selling jewelry and did it 2 different times with physical products but I wasn't very successful. Going to expand my shop with POD. I'm not sure about the Astrology as digital downloads in April - I could probably do astrological illustrations. I already have Zodiac POD mugs (can also be done as shirts or illustrations) in my shop.
We just started our store a week ago. We travel the country in our Travel trailer. So we have tons of pictures from cool places. Our store is from those pictures POD to canvas. We have had pretty good traffic in our first week with 70 items in our store. We are going to add two pictures a day like you said. Thanks for all your tips.
You say don't get sucked into YT videos and spend more time building your store. Well, I'm sucked in by your videos. So good for you and me. My wife is handling the store as I relay all the great information I get from your Etsy knowledge. We just started out a week ago. I turned on Ads but I believe I will turn them off after watching this video. Thank you and I'm glad I found your channel.
I'm a procrastinator, Nik! I'm finally watching this video in November of 2023. And now I feel I can validate my "preparing" to open a shop as a beginner and focus on starting a digital store in January. 😊 But be sure to kick me in the pants to followup my word! Haha. Just sending a smile and words of thanks and appreciation for these videos, Nik. Good day. ✌🏼
Your content is awesome, so far ive learned so much from your channel this week and have been working to implement what I’ve been learning, but how in the world do you source a product a day? It would take me weeks to work out finding suppliers for materials, creating designs and working out the manufacturing process. Is this all items you stock from various manufacturers?
Why i didn’t find your videos before I start? 🙈 I opened a store with hand made art prints in June. I heard some bad advices and sent the products to the shop just sometimes 5 per day instead to put new items every day and regulary. The Problem is that the artworks which I make take a lot of time (portraits/art for children/animals ectr.) and hearing that it can something happened from 100-200 products is painful. But if that bring more (any) sales I will focus on that. Thank you for your video and specific tips. 🙂
Hi there. Happy that you have found us now! Please see my video on how to sell one of a kind items on Etsy: ruclips.net/video/zPzDptXFMoM/видео.htmlsi=D40wq_nhmkvSRYAz
Nik. Holy cow! Thanks so much for the practical advice. I'm going to do this with digital downloads and mix some print on demand. Thanks for the non delusional info. Cheers. Dan
Hello. I just found your channel and your straightforward, no-click-bait, "contrapreneur" style is a breath of fresh air. I already have an ETSY store dedicated to tarot and astrology with only 21 products although I have not worked on it for a while. It's a digital download plus POD (tee shirts) with the digital items being digital journals, ebooks, etc. I like the idea of adding svgs and pngs to the inventory. Would you suggest building this store out (it's only had a handful of sales in the last year) or opening a new storefront? Again, thank you for your KISS advice.
There are few good etsy channels out there and this is one of them. Thank you. One question about the digital items. I honestly dont feel safe in that market since anyone can buy of the whole shop and open another with same items and beat me in traffic. I cant copyrifht all my 1000 items its just to much. And I didnt hear good stories on etsy helping out with copycats
@Edis Kujovic - I solved this once and for all. I provide a PASSWORD-LOCKED LINK ACCESS. I make sure the customer understands password is valid for 72 hours after purchase. Then, I change the password. This works well for me.
Im going for digital products with SOME having personalisation. Gutted that you mention astrology though, im a Christian so i wont produce/sell things like that, even for the money. But i now know, either way, i need to aim for that 100 item mark!
Brilliant video Nick, I’m committing right now to start a digital downloads store as soon as I finish your videos, not sure if it’s going to be a astrology one though. One question, do you see personalised digital downloads as being necessary? To take your example, a horoscope with someones photo and name
Thank you. I am a bit late to watch this but have started on the digital downloads of astrological items amongst others. In March I will have the time to personalise but until then I best get more products on!! I am going through more of your videos...😂...
Absolutely agree . Most these feeds are affiliates who lure vulnerable enthusiasts to signup to a course or link to their affiliate platforms. So unethical. Thank you for keeping it real . 🙏. A question if you wouldn’t mind , I am a skin specialist with a clinic so no surprise this is where my passion and expertise sit .What are your thoughts on the skincare niche with digital or/and physical?

I’m so nervous about starting up. Recently retired 50 yr old. What’s your opinion on selling crafts iv made ( clay and resin art) and diy craft kits with a tutorial please, I have a gorgeous collection of silicone moulds, so the kit would include An item to decorate ie wood blank or shape/pumpkin/ bauble etc a set of 6 matching resin pieces ie angels/ mermaids/ butterfliesetc Paints Glitters Waxes and anything else that’s needed for project Video tutorial I’m thinking £29.00 for kit I could also just sell the castings as furniture appliqués or to artists and crafters plain or painted options. I’d love to hear your thoughts Thanks so much 🙏🏻 Love all your videos your very real ! Thank you Esther
Hi Esther, and thanks for your comment. My thoughts are DIY craft kits are definitely worth pursuing, and you could also sell supplies in your store too, to get those item numbers up. If you do it, keep dropping in and letting me know how it's going. Go for it Esther, now is the time, I will help you as and when I can, and PLEASE watch all my videos, these will help you so much!
Hi Nick I watched almost all your videos and i am so glad to have the opportunity to get accurate info . There are some gurus who don't give so much info as you. Moreover, i did the ads advice from another RUclipsr and unfortunately, the ads ate my money with zero sales and decreased my conversation rate. To add a pick on my mistake, I did Pinterest ads on my other store. I had multiple clicks and no sales. I know it decreased the conversation rate because before I started Pinterest ads I had sales and after,,,, no no no :( zero and a barely have any views now. I just started to add 1-2 listing a day with better pictures and hopefully will get up soon. Thank you for all your videos. I learned from you much more than I learned since I have esty store.
Since I’m a graphic artist and creative, I like designing T-shirts and mugs, maybe totes, but I’m very interested in digital downloads, especially for astrology. Thanks for saying what you did about shipping. I was offering free shipping as a newbie, and yes, I was too nervous to offer global for anything. I’m sure that wasn’t helping. I’m not waiting for January… having too much fun with it NOW!
I am really glad I found you. I have been formulating strategies for my first Etsy shop. I do work 7 days per week already and wanted to replace that income. I am thinking to slow all this down so that I can build income from the shop in a realistic manor. When you say "make 10,000" are you referring to total sale amounts or profit? I am guessing I would make about 25% profit on average. I am looking to replace my job income, so this is an important distinction. I SO appreciate the realistic estimate - I needed to see this
wha kind of digital supplies can I make besides svg's? Also great video. i've stopped watching other etsy gurus in youtube. My first store failed because i took the wrong advice
I'm SO in!! I love astrology and have just started an Etsy store in a different digital niche.... so i'm going to pivot, map this out and start from 1st January!!! Thank you!! :D
Wow super great video! Lots of valuable information in that you have already done all the testing! I have tried Etsy before but didn't know the formula, and didn't make any sales but now I will probably try again with the information you have provided. Thanks so much!
Hiya Nik, Great videos I've spent the last few days watching loads of them and will continue to do so..Just not sure about the 3 Niches you have mentioned in this video as I cannot get excited or passionate about any of these and I thought it was very important to believe in what you are selling. They just don't float my boat lol. Would you suggest that I stick with something that I can relate too or is it just that for the purpose of proving a 10000 income is sustainable these three niches are where you've had the most success. Keep providing the great content as its brilliant especially when there are so many money grabbing Gurus out there that do talk a load of BS in order for you to buy into there sponsored sites. All the best Sean.
Hi Sean, it all depends on your mindset. If you can work long term on a store you are not passionate about in terms of product and niche, but will sell, then you can do that. However most people need to feel something for the work they are doing, and relate to it, and if you can match that relatedness to a niche that also sells on Etsy, that is the secret! Thanks for your feedback as well, I read every single message and reply to every single message (although it kills me sometimes!) Cheers
Thankyou so much for such an informative content. I have a question about the supplies niche. Are we allowed to sell these on Etsy as i thought Etsy is focused around handmade items?
Hi there, thanks for you comment. Sites like 'ShineOn' are heavily saturated on Etsy, however if you can find a decent alternative supplier than that could be worth exploring.
WoW what a coincidence! You was suggested to me by a friend and 💥!!! I am thinking of starting an Etsy shop on January with handmade jewelry and supplies 🥳🎉 But I don't know the way 🤗 So I decided to watch your videos and get some advice please 😊
Hey Nick, you probably know me by now I keep commenting on all your videos. Sorry!! 😅 when you say supplies you mean physical supplies or can it be digital supplies? Digital supplies: social media templates, price list, ebook, sticker designs, business card designs. I can’t think of anything else or physical supplies like, label stickers, flyers, brochures, etc. do you think I can combine physical and digital supplies in one store? What supplies could I make? I don’t even know how to research on supplies. Thank you a lot for being be so kind to reply to all of my comments!! You are changing my life I swear you have no idea Oh, also todays March 4th. Should I wait next Jan or can I start? I have made 3 products so far. I haven’t opened my shop yet. Again thank you!!!
Hey Astrid, that's fine! Supplies can be both yes. You can combine both yes, for everything else it would probably be wise to book a 30 minute consultation to narrow down what you should be selling on Etsy, you can do that on the link below: www.upwork.com/services/product/marketing-a-30-minute-etsy-problem-solver-video-call-with-the-world-s-best-consultant-1351219976669429760?ref=project_share
Alright maybe the digital one. I’m gonna use your advice to launch a stickers shop, and you make a good point about wasting time on low price point items. Incentivizing sticker packs is on my to do. Maybe offer only sticker paxks
I’ve only just found your channel. And, YES, I accept your challenge. I have a bit of catching up to do as it is already February. I have a store I recently opened, printables. Only have 2 listing so far but creating more now I have learnt how important it is to add daily. Got suspended with my first listing which Etsy eventually reopened saying it was suspended in error. Got disheartened and let it sit for a couple of weeks. Should I list 2 a day to catch up? I am retired so I have plenty of time just need inspiration on creation ideas. Love your videos and binging them. Thanks for all free and excellent information.
You're my favourite Etsy/RUclips channel!!! Thank you for so much great advice. Question...If I go with the Zodiac idea.... should I put up 1 listing which targets "zodiac" themed keyword(s) and then 12 others almost identical focusing keywords on the individual zodiac sign? And If so...would my 13 listings at that point count towards my 100-200 listings goal? Or because it all has the same design, would it count as just 1 listing towards my 100-200 goal? I hope that makes sense.
Hi Tracy thanks for the feedback I appreciate it! Yes you would want to list individual star sign listings, and they would count towards your listing goal.
Ok, this scares the hell out of me!! 😅 But it’s something I really want to do. I am not computer savvy at all, I’m 59 and never had a job that worked with computers. I just last month decided to follow my dreams and start my own Reiki practice, I am also a nature photographer. Neither make much $$…got to eat though! The print on demand, astrology/reiki option would fit perfectly with my Reiki. And from what I understand Etsy works with the Wix website I’m working on. Jumping in is overwhelming though. I’ll keep watching you though, and keep really trying to understand. Thank you for the shove.
Hi Marta, I hear you, I really do. It is scary, but you have started a reiki practice, and I look forward to hearing about you opening an Etsy store. My content will help you avoid pitfalls, and if you need to work with me, just click the "hire me" button on my youtube banner!
Hey there, first off thanks for your amazing no fluff content that gets straight to the heart of what us sellers want to know. I’ve learned so much from you. My question is, I am a jewelry seller and I have been given feedback before specifically on listing photographs of earrings being worn, that it is “off putting” to buyers because they may see it as unhygienic or have concerns that their item has been used and isn’t brand new (even though I always create a new pair for every sale). Because of this feedback I changed my listing photos to flatlays of my earrings. What are your thoughts? Thanks!
Hey Olivia, and thanks for being here! Here is my answer to your question: I work with jewelry shops on Etsy that do well over $1million a year on the platform, and they all show real life earring shots on ears, and very very rarely get anyone saying this. However, if you want to add a layer of customer service, you can put in your product description that the customer will receive brand new earrings. I would personally not draw attention to it though, no need.
I'm ready to start in January. We have lots of ideas and will have a hybrid store. We will sell some things on Etsy along with a Printify store and selling at farmer markets. Should I have a business bank account before I create the store? What about taxes? Should I start using in QuickBooks at the start? Before I even start the stores and website?
Hi Shannon, the answer to all these questions are all dependent on your situation. As general advice, I would test the viability of your business before you go and set everything up, you have to see if you actually have a business that can sell. As soon as you know that you do have a business that can sell, then you can do all the things you have mentioned.
There are plenty on here who spout about how much they earn by searching and pretty much stealing ideas but calling it inspiration. Great, thanks
You’re the only honest guy that speaks the truth about selling on Etsy. Thank you for being an such honest guy.
Hi Nicole, thanks for your feeback.
Ive just discovered you! Amazing content and raw material! I'm ready to start in January 2024... my niche is the candle world...i hope i can make those big sales! Thanks again!
Hey Rachel, good luck and keep me updated on how you're doing.
I opened my digital download and POD in Jan and have posted 1 to 2 or more per day! I’m in!!!
Good luck Karla, go for it!
YES, I WILL DO IT! I just saw this so I'm going to start today, March 1, 2023!
Awesome.
This is a perfect time i already planned my strategy and all that strategy based on the things i learned on your videos, i watched ur videos from the start, Thankyou so much. I will start POD this year 2025 wish me luck"🥰🥰🥰 I will come back to this comment when I succeed next year.
Hi there, great to hear! Please keep up posted with your progress!
Go for it! I make handmade ceramic mosaic tiles and I made over 14K in 9 months. It is possible and requires a lot of hard work but worth it.
Yes, go for it!
The Digital Downloads sounds great. Less overhead, lower initial cost, and less customer support needed since they can't return it!
Exactly King.
I started in January a downloadable art shop. My own art and vintage art. Have made 20 sales( low price point) I'm excited to keep going, it's been fun!
Great news Michelle, thanks for letting me know!
I am ready ! My shop is not already open, but i will do it in february. Now, i do my listing for a digital download business... You will see me in 1 year ! Thanks for your good advices !
You're welcome.
No problem at all, keep is informed with your progress.
I like what you are saying here. ❤ I've been selling on Etsy for 7 years selling antiques. You have motivated me to open a second shop. Well done.
Hi Lisa, happy to help! Good luck!
I'm jumping in - will follow this to a tee
Great news Jonathan, keep us posted!
I started a digital download shop in October. Have 28 listings and put new ones on regularly. But have had I sale a Halloween print. So I intend to keep going next year.
Your advice is going to be so helpful. Thank you.
Excellent Deborah, thanks for your story
You are honestly so great. Social media is overwhelming but I do list one a day (at least). I already have a store but love these ideas. Thank you!!
Happy to help, Sonz!
These videos are so valuable. How to we determine if a niche is overdone? Because now 1,000 people have seen your page, and if everyone is doing astrology, then what room is there left? Thoughts on how to niche that further down?
Hi Maria, my best advice is to watch this video, and reframe what niche saturation actually looks like:
ruclips.net/video/vIcAGvoMhU4/видео.html
well, i've already lost 6 months, i'm not waiting any longer. starting right away following all (the rest of) your advice! will definitely let you know, let the world know when my etsy store gets on going with Santa on board! thank you for all the help!
You got this!
How is it going???
Cheers Nick…. Your input is greatly valued by us all! I’m trying the digital route, just starting. Not expecting great things but I’m enjoying it 😅
Hey, thank you for your feedback and keep me updated about your progress!
do more of these videos. I love your simplistic advice
Thank you! Will do!
Yes . I am subscribing to your video. Because I am planning to put my own etsy store too.
Good to hear.
Video about listing pleaseeee🤗
We waaaant thiss🥰
Hi Sandra, great to have you here. Yes it's on my to do list!
That is so interesting - thank you very much - a little late to start a new niche now, but something to think about most definitely. Wish I had seen this earlier in the year...
Hi AngelWych, thanks for commenting. Stick around and you'll learn a lot more 😉
You need to make a video on how not to get suspended for no apparent reason and to prevent buyers from cancelling orders when they cannot message you.
Hi John, I will be doing this, hopefully out next week.
100 ITEM NIK! I love it. The 💯Man. 👏👏👏
Yes indeed!
This info is amazing, thanks so much!! It's December 30, so I am going to start my new Etsy shop on January 2nd! So excited to try your methods - going to try the supplies category.
Hey Paulette, thank you for your feedback and keep me updated on how you're doing!
Hi Lucy, thanks for commenting. You can do anything, as long as it works well together with your shop's theme and niche.
No problem Lesley, make SURE you watch my new complete Etsy store course video, which premieres next Wednesday, link is below to get notified!:

Thanks Nik, I've just gone over and clicked the 'notify' button. Looking forward to it...@@etsyconsultant
Your SEO video was very interesting. Let's see. I'm gonna try to do this :)
Hi Rocco, great, go for it!
Hi, I opened my shop on 14the November 2022. And it's been very very slow like I was loosing hope but now I came upon your channel just a couple of days ago and am still going to implement these ways as if I'm starting a fresh shop. My shop is about crochet goods.
Hi there, thanks for your comment, and good luck! Keep going.
please do more on digital downloads!
Hi Adria, yes I intend to!
Yesssss! I’m going to do this in January! Astrology is actually something I love so the digital download shop sounds right up my alley 😃 Thank you so much for this!
No problem Tina
You are the best. Thanks for the video. I'm so excited for my Etsy stooooore
You are so welcome!
This is an amazing video, because it is honest. You are a true master Nik. Keep up the great work 👍
Thanks Matthew.
Very true!
Wow, great to hear! and you are very welcome.
Thanks for watching, definitely good for us both! Stay in touch with your Etsy journey progress.
I just shut mine off too!
I am going to try your challenge, with the supply idea.
Hi Louise, Great go for it!
Thank you for your frankness. I am
Thinking astrology .. you are a breathe of fresh air
Thanks for your thoughts and comment, I appreciate it.
Good day. ✌🏼
Hi Scott, thank you for being here, good luck!
Please see my video on how to sell one of a kind items on Etsy:
ruclips.net/video/zPzDptXFMoM/видео.htmlsi=D40wq_nhmkvSRYAz
Nik. Holy cow! Thanks so much for the practical advice. I'm going to do this with digital downloads and mix some print on demand. Thanks for the non delusional info. Cheers. Dan
Cheers Dan. Glad it was helpful!
Hey Gary, good to have you here. Open a new store for the digital items, and have the other store for POD.
Hi there Edis, thanks for your comment. Everyone is in the same situation, and you will always get copy cats. If you want to open a store go for it!
@Edis Kujovic - I solved this once and for all. I provide a PASSWORD-LOCKED LINK ACCESS. I make sure the customer understands password is valid for 72 hours after purchase. Then, I change the password. This works well for me.
I'm doing it. I guess my timing couldn't be better!
Hey Madison, I'm glad to hear that. Keep me updated on how you're doing.
This is interesting I would try the digital download as I wouldn't have to deal with postage.
Yes, downloads is the easiest route to take, although it is still lot's of work.
Im going for digital products with SOME having personalisation.
Gutted that you mention astrology though, im a Christian so i wont produce/sell things like that, even for the money. But i now know, either way, i need to aim for that 100 item mark!
Let me know how you get on, thanks.
I'd bet there's a market for digital Christian products! Verses/quotes etc with artistic backgrounds?
Muslims don’t believe in astrology too
Thank you for sharing such important information.i think it's a practical video for etsy sellers.which will help seller's to grow business.
Glad it was helpful!
Brilliant video Nick, I’m committing right now to start a digital downloads store as soon as I finish your videos, not sure if it’s going to be a astrology one though. One question, do you see personalised digital downloads as being necessary? To take your example, a horoscope with someones photo and name
Hey Reynossa, thanks for commenting. Personalized products on Etsy are a great idea!
Let's do it!
Go for it!!
Thank you. I am a bit late to watch this but have started on the digital downloads of astrological items amongst others. In March I will have the time to personalise but until then I best get more products on!! I am going through more of your videos...😂...
Great, keep it up, good luck!
Yes I’m going to do this! thank you for the amazing advice!
Hey Cynthia, any time!
I will follow the rules, and let you know.
By the way, your experience and teaching are one of the best on youtube.
Thank you
Thanks Kaan, good luck!
Hi great advice for beginners and I'm sure seasoned sellers also.
Would you also recommend the same 3 niches for those starting out in 2024?
If you are good at design/producing, yes.
I'm game! I'm going to do it!
Hey Lori, that's the attitude! Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Vidushi, thank you for sharing!
Yes, I am gonna do this! 🎉
Great to hear!
I’m so nervous about starting up.
Recently retired 50 yr old.
What’s your opinion on selling crafts iv made ( clay and resin art) and diy craft kits with a tutorial please,
I have a gorgeous collection of silicone moulds,
so the kit would include
An item to decorate ie wood blank or shape/pumpkin/ bauble etc
a set of 6 matching resin pieces ie angels/ mermaids/ butterfliesetc
Paints
Glitters
Waxes and anything else that’s needed for project
Video tutorial
I’m thinking £29.00 for kit
I could also just sell the castings as furniture appliqués or to artists and crafters plain or painted options.
I’d love to hear your thoughts
Thanks so much 🙏🏻
Love all your videos your very real !
Thank you
Esther
Hi Esther, and thanks for your comment.
My thoughts are DIY craft kits are definitely worth pursuing, and you could also sell supplies in your store too, to get those item numbers up.
If you do it, keep dropping in and letting me know how it's going.
Go for it Esther, now is the time, I will help you as and when I can, and PLEASE watch all my videos, these will help you so much!
Hi Nick
I watched almost all your videos and i am so glad to have the opportunity to get accurate info .
Thanks so much, keep watching, and keep up the good work.
Thank you too Nick. Please, can you do a short video about your opinion sales on etsy? Thank you
Since I’m a graphic artist and creative, I like designing T-shirts and mugs, maybe totes, but I’m very interested in digital downloads, especially for astrology. Thanks for saying what you did about shipping. I was offering free shipping as a newbie, and yes, I was too nervous to offer global for anything. I’m sure that wasn’t helping.
I’m not waiting for January… having too much fun with it NOW!
Hi Angela, fantastic - great to hear, go!
I SO appreciate the realistic estimate - I needed to see this
Hi there, thanks for your question, $10,000 refers to turnover. Good luck!
wha kind of digital supplies can I make besides svg's? Also great video. i've stopped watching other etsy gurus in youtube. My first store failed because i took the wrong advice
Hi there, thanks for your comment. Gold tip: mock ups for POD stores.
I'm SO in!! I love astrology and have just started an Etsy store in a different digital niche.... so i'm going to pivot, map this out and start from 1st January!!! Thank you!! :D
Hi there Jayne, great news and good luck.
Wow super great video! Lots of valuable information in that you have already done all the testing! I have tried Etsy before but didn't know the formula, and didn't make any sales but now I will probably try again with the information you have provided. Thanks so much!
Hi there, you are most welcome!
Thanks for your feedback as well, I read every single message and reply to every single message (although it kills me sometimes!)
Cheers
Thankyou so much for such an informative content. I have a question about the supplies niche. Are we allowed to sell these on Etsy as i thought Etsy is focused around handmade items?
Yes, absolutely
Hi nick just started building my store
Thanks for your help 😊
You're welcome.
I’m in the handmade home decor niche. Would love to hear more on your thoughts in that area.
Ok, noted!
Thank you so much !! What do think about POD jewelry? I don’t really have the skill to create jewelry fully on my own other than bead jewelry maybe.
Hi there, thanks for you comment. Sites like 'ShineOn' are heavily saturated on Etsy, however if you can find a decent alternative supplier than that could be worth exploring.
Hello Sir. Thanks for wonderful video. I really like to go for the first niche, would you please introduce some jewelry suppliers. Thank you.
Hi there, thanks for commenting. This is entirely up to you and depends on the products your are selling.
WoW what a coincidence! You was suggested to me by a friend and 💥!!! I am thinking of starting an Etsy shop on January with handmade jewelry and supplies 🥳🎉 But I don't know the way 🤗 So I decided to watch your videos and get some advice please 😊
Hi there, thanks for watching, and wishing you the best of luck with your new store.
@@etsyconsultant thank you! I'll try to do my best! By the way if I'll have any questions can I reach out to you for some help???
Yes I’m going to do this
Great, go for it!
Thank you for being a real one
Hey, thank you for your lovely comment!
This is amazing. What about polymer clay jewelry?
Many thanks for sharing this extremely helpful info. You have a new subscriber here.
Hi there, thanks for your comment. Very hard to succeed with polymer clay jewelry. Thanks for subscribing!
Your videos are the best! I'll accept your challenge and choose the Astrology niche :)
Hi Angela, great news and thanks for the feedback.
You are changing my life I swear you have no idea
Oh, also todays March 4th. Should I wait next Jan or can I start? I have made 3 products so far. I haven’t opened my shop yet. Again thank you!!!
Hey Astrid, that's fine! Supplies can be both yes. You can combine both yes, for everything else it would probably be wise to book a 30 minute consultation to narrow down what you should be selling on Etsy, you can do that on the link below:
www.upwork.com/services/product/marketing-a-30-minute-etsy-problem-solver-video-call-with-the-world-s-best-consultant-1351219976669429760?ref=project_share
Alright maybe the digital one. I’m gonna use your advice to launch a stickers shop, and you make a good point about wasting time on low price point items. Incentivizing sticker packs is on my to do. Maybe offer only sticker paxks
Good idea! Keep us posted!
Very helpful info-packed video, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Jenny and thanks for getting in touch. You are OK to continue listing at 1 a day, that is fine, 2 weeks is not too long.
Your RUclips CHannel helps me so much and motivates me! Keep on going:)
Thats great Selin, thanks for letting me know!
Ok, this scares the hell out of me!! 😅
But it’s something I really want to do.
Here is my answer to your question:
I work with jewelry shops on Etsy that do well over $1million a year on the platform, and they all show real life earring shots on ears, and very very rarely get anyone saying this.
However, if you want to add a layer of customer service, you can put in your product description that the customer will receive brand new earrings.
I would personally not draw attention to it though, no need.
@@etsyconsultant This is excellent advice, I will try that. Thank you so much!
Just a thought. . . what about a mannequin head?
Lovely video thank you 😊
You’re welcome 😊
Hi I’ve watched all your videos very interesting and inspiring I’ve started making jewellery and hair ties that’s what I’m aiming for
Hi there, thanks for watching, good luck with your new business.
