Which iPad are you running if you don’t mind me asking? Considering you just mentioned 6k footage that’s amazing.
Ipad pro 2021 or 2022
the 6k part is whatever, 4:4:4 is insane
you are doing a good job 👍❤
Awesome
Can you make lock on stabilization on Davinci Resolve using iPad?
Rocking@!!!❤
😊 sound pretty good like try It i will let you know.
It has all the pages you just have to add the shortcuts for it, a youtuber showed it on ipad pro .
Is it possible to edit HDR footage or High efficiency videos shot on say, an iPhone?
Yes
It is amazing. I can get away from my workstation and edit anywhere and it syncs to my workstation so I can finish the edit on my workstation if I want.
I like it for rough cuts, And most of us know all the pages work with a slight workaround.
Yeah! We feel exactly the same way. Excellent companion a desktop computer.
How to sync it with the workstation app ?
Is it possible on the davinci windows app as well ?
i have tested it on my ipad pro 11 inch m1 which has 8gb ram and its a strong no, if you add multiple effects to a very short video it would just stop working. Not sure abt the 16gb m1 which is overpriced. My 10 year old i7 4770 with same 8gb ram works far far smoother on adobe premiere.
so im not sure if davinci resolve is not as optimized or it needs more ram. So have to stick to pc but hopefully they make it work for my ipad also because 12 inch defeats the purpose of having proper portability and to get 16 gb of ram you have to pay premier price of which you can get better laptop. It just doesn’t make sense for now.
how do the power window and tracking tools behave? using a iot of those and hesitating to take the leap
Do you have to upload files to the cloud? Currently I edit from my ssd card
Can you /someone post a link to the SPEED EDITOR tool with scroll function? Looks UNREAL!
What about the database? Are you using Resolve server from a NAS or something and connecting your ipad through?
Well you didn't mention which version of ipad you used????
it must be the m series pro ipad
That loop tho :D
What is the speed editor?
I suspect he is using m2 ipad pro or m3. There is still limitation compared to the desktop davinci, even with the studio paid version for ipad pro. Developer had share a pdf file content regarding the difference for davinci ipad version and desktop version.
keyboard details pls
So is this the ultimate 1400€ editing-on-the-go machine now? Certainly more powerful than my 4500€ pc!
Yeah, it's incredible what it's capable of.
Are you using an 8gb or 16gb iPad?
No but where's the edit tab😢 that's the tab I use the most
It will probably be added in the future.
If you bring up the keyboard shortcuts, you can get all the pages back.
I swear I'm not getting an ipad i don't care how much curious I am for getting one
Stay strong! 💪😂
Don't! I just got one after being an android user for years. Apple is soooooo over rated. I got a second hand air 5, only so I could utilize a 3d app and the m1 chip...and I'm not even lying, I prefer my £100 generic android tablet with 8gb ram 😭😭 I really don't understand all the hype. Yes it will obviously render faster, but the interface and accessories are over priced and not all that. If I could have afforded a 2nd hand Samsung ultra/ plus 8, or s9 I would have got that instead. I think I just messed up big time. Android 4eva 😁
@@brooke1639 Mmm no bro I love my iphone and I love Ios but an ipad it's unnecesary
@@Tegui4 fair enough. Personally for me I prefer windows and android ....but...... it's early days who knows give it a couple of months and apple might win me over yet 👀😁
Advertisements should be marked as such, please.
Hi will davinchi work with iPad mini? Also is it capable desqueeze?
you can unlock other pages with a keyboard tho
Does remote monitoring work as well on resolve for ipad?
I can’t get any of my projects on my pc on to my ipad how do you do it?
Any difference between 11" and 13" iPad pros for Davinci Resolve? (Anything other than screen size obviously)
My 1 year old IPad has Davinci Resolve 18 on it and everytime I try and do almost anything in the edit page Davinci Resolve crashes and shuts down. Still have half of my memory unused. Very frustrating, don't know what I'm doing wrong!! Even playing back or scrubbing through a video clip can cause it to CRASH!
do you still have this issues? cause I'm considering buying an m2 iPad Pro to use davinci reslve for iPad but if you have this problem I should reconsider myself.
@@francescobecattini1601 I've noticed experience on iPads can be up and downs, would rather suggest an MacBook Air for anything work related (losing the touchscreen ability for a quite nice trackpad).
Ipad air 5?
Which ipad is this exactly?
Is it available for the iPad Air 5?
Yes
Will it ever come to samsung tab s9 ultra?
👍👍👍
There’s a davinci resolve app? Or how does this go on an iPad?
What key pad is that
App name plz
Я захотел себе айпад...
Wait hold up what’s a speed editor?
A hardware made by blackmagic to be mainly used in the cut page of davinci resolve, the point is to select footage and do rough cuts faster, still works on the edit page but some feature are limited to cut page
@@hizkiakurniawan know of any companies that make one besides black magic?
I wonder if they gonne make one for iphone
Would be cool! But I think the screen might be a little too small!
Just waiting for it to come to samsung
People actually use the cut page?
Should I start to learn how to use on PC or iPad? Hmmm
A PC 👍🎞🎬
Wait a second... Is it an "ipad only", or is it android compatible too?
iPad only. Sorry. A big reason why Blackmagic have been able to put it on iPad is Apple's incredibly powerful M1 and M2 chips.
@@FilmEditingPro aight, maybe I'm getting an Ipad in the next years :)
@@FilmEditingProlumafusion kinda debunked that with its great performance on Android flagships
@@aditya_gupta using it on tab a8, very smooth, besides some rare crashes
Only one big con: it’s on iPadOS
Will this work smoothly with iPad air 5th gen with A14 chip?
I'm actually using it. no issues at all
Mine ita showing zip.file when i trying to open
Is there a Davinci Resolve for Android?
Not at the moment.
"it can run large files smoothly"
*Uses Apple's own media format on their own hardware*
Hi.. how is called that controller you show there? Is it compatible with Lightroom/Photoshop?
I think so
The speed editor? No, it's exclusively for Resolve usage and mostly usable on the edit page. Try other options which are more versatile and customizable (also cheaper), such as Loupedeck or Tourbox.
The cuts page is insultingly bad. There's not even a Zoom feature!!
which ipad brp??
ipad 12.9 M2
Are you using it on iPad 12.9 or 11”. Debating which screen size to get.
Using a 12.9". If you want to grade HDR, you need the 12.9 as the 10.9 screen only goes up to 600 nits.
We just bought an M2 12.9" iPad Pro for Reaolve. The screen is amazing and if you are a pro, best do it properly. And get 2TB SSD. Flog a kidney on eBay. You only need one. ;)
I’ve been using it on an M1 12.9 2Tb. Absolutely flys!!
@@jonathanweston2448 wait, the m1 version has davinci too???
Vídeos de 30 segundos?? Acredito que webdoc de 20minutos 1h é um pouco mais complicado rodar liso.
Where do you load application ?
Still in beta but we’ll let you know as soon as it’s publicly available!
It’s out now at the Apple Store
what ipad did you use in the video?
M2 Pro 12.9" with 1TB of storage.
Hard drive editing?
Curious about this too
Idfk because I don’t own an iPad. Tell me how great it is
Practczlly its useless instad u canbuy macbookrpo 13 u can edit full flexibly with desktop resolve supports all formats ipad are powerful but edit compatible storage is mess
multicam editing ?
Yes, you can do Multicam editing in the cut page via sync bins. I'm sure the edit page will get ported eventually as well which will increase your options.
@@FilmEditingPro can you show that? please.
@@MilesVanlife You can assign the Edit page to a shortcut and then open it using that shortcut: ruclips.net/video/YAC0hWhk3hs/видео.html
@@MilesVanlife Also note that if you have a non-Mac specific keyboard, the keyboard command to open the Shortcuts menu in Resolve is:
«Windows key» + Alt + k
must be a funny joke, that i dont understand.
resolve needs power and more power.
on an ipad it must be kind of a joke.
All you need is a 2 thousand dollar tablet that's less capable than a 300 LG phone to run a free software you could use on any laptop or pc
Thinking about going back to Resolve after switching to Lumafusion a few years ago. What is the recommended gb? Will it run ok on the Ipad pro 256gb? Thanks.
I use it on ipad pro m1 base model and it works great. Just connect external ssd for extra storage.
Yes, it will run on that. It's best with an M1 or M2 though.
No, you tell me. Wtf?
I was like wait what 😂😂😂😂😂😂
No thanks. This is not even remotely practical. The ipad's screen is tiny, the battery will fall faster than the January low in Fargo, your 6K video is probably a low res proxy because memory management is weak on the ipad, and managing your media has to be done through the only port that an ipad has which is the usb-c. This video is a gimmick.
