    I work in an iron ore mine in the Pilbara and all our ore goes to Japan. In our peak we were loading 6 trains a day on site and they all go to Port Headland.

      Do you know how many times we said Japan and I edited it out because we started thinking no it's China arghhhh. Thank you for clarifying 🙏

    Thanks guys another informative video last time we were there we got stuck at a railway crossing waited for 205 cars/ carriages to pass.
    If we ever catch up on the road I'll give Jon some didgeridoo lessons we always carry a few didges with us on our travels. 😊

      Oh there is nothing worse then getting stuck at a railway crossing waiting for goods trains. The didgeridoo idea sounds awesome.

      I forgot lol. He moved the caravan just put on the street because a tow truck was picking it up and wouldn't come into the caravan park.
      Thanks for watching 👀

    I thought salt was dug up (not from sea water)
    Those LONG trains don’t have a train driver on them (the driver “drives” them from elsewhere.

      @onlyleavingfootprints  2 месяца назад +1

      Oh wow I didn't know that about the train drivers, thanks for that.
      I think somewhere in future videos we explain more about the salt process. It was really interesting 🤔
      Thanks for watching

    Hi Jon and Tracie, well we’ve left Sydney behind us, now in Tamworth on our way north and then inland. Just curious about your refueling arrangements for the distance between Kununurra and Broome. We’ve got a standard 80Lt tank and a couple of 20Lt diesel Jerry cans. Planning on filling both Jerry cans in Kununurra and not using them until some time after we’ve passed Fitzroy Crossing…..thinking we’ll refuel in both Fitzroy Crossing and Halls Creek and then leave both locations straight after refueling. Did you refuel in both FC and HC? and similarly have a back up with ? Jerry cans…..

    • @onlyleavingfootprints
      @onlyleavingfootprints  2 месяца назад

      We carried 2 x jerry cans of diesel but we also filled up at both FC and HC . Basically we tried not to go under half. We only used the jerry cans twice on the trip where we wasn't sure whether we would make it to a servo. Enjoy your travels and stay safe

    WOW I never thought Pt Headland could be interesting. My travels took me there twenty years ago and it was red, red, red. Not appealing to me. Get fuel and go to somewhere more interesting was my policy back then. Cheers

      Some of these towns have the most interesting stuff to see. There was lots more but we were really there to be with our daughter and Grandson as we hadn't seen them for near 11 months. Thanks for watching 👀

    rent assistance pays on average 700 a week as part of your salary

      Oh wow that's amazing . Thank you for that info. Those rents are so crazy though, although the East coast I believe is just as silly.
