Great review, with really nice photography. You captured the watch in various settings and loght whivh is extremely helpful for someone considering thenwatch, and also simply makes for a more enjoyable video. Well done.
Beautiful configuration. Congratulations to you! Rolex Green is sweet! I have a 7.5” wrist and enjoy my 36mm vintage Datejust as much, maybe more than my 41mm.
Absolutely stunning! Ive been waiting for this exact config for 12 months... really hope i get the call soon! This video has made me even more impatient...
Stunning piece. I’ve requested the 36mm Wimby dial Jubilee fluted. The mint green and wimby dial are fantastic. Congrats on being patient and getting a watch that is timeless and will wear fantastically for decades to come
Stunning piece. Congratulations. Disappointing that you can’t walk into a Rolex boutique and walk out with the piece you want. I’ve added a JLC and Cartier to my collection in the past six months.
Very classy elegant Rolex Very much my choice, I have silver, blue, waiting on this one green. Don’t sleep on stainless steel Rolexes. Thanks for sharing, Great video.
I have a larger wrist so i have the 136334 - 41 mm variant . They are both lovely and very versatile no matter which size you choose. The green looks amaxing but I'm after a GO panomaticlunar in green so opted for the blue DJ.
I own the same Ref just in blue. Have noticed out in about in a restaurant how the light makes this watch glitter and dance in the light. I was scared of the 36 with a 6.5 wrist and man this watch is my go to daily, with a precision fit. Looks larger than it’s actual size. Makes me appreciate smaller watches in this size. Love my forever Dj.
@@dennisthespeedmenace7530 sorry, I misread your comment. Indeed the fluted bazel really has a nice shine, but precisely bcs is so shiny I prefer to balance it with a plainer oyster bracelet, rather than doubling down on the shine with a blingy jubilee. It looks a bit too much to me, but I appreciate it’s the original datejust combo. Otherwise jubilee bracelet plus plain bazel can be an interesting option too, especially with a nice colour dial. It is so iconic in the original combo but I think as a daily wearer is too much.
I’ve been waiting 2 months so far for this in the 41, for my 7.1” wrist. So ref 126334 mint dial. I bought a Tudor and a bracelet from my AD but not sure if that’s enough spend. How long was the wait for the root beer and any spend history prior to that? Great watch
I recently obtained a datejust mint green and I’m not sure if the face isn’t as green as I was expecting or if the AD played me and didn’t give me mint green? The watch I have is a gorgeous time piece and I’m very happy with it, but it’s not quite that deep green I was expecting. Is the mint green lighter than it appears on the website?

I'm picking up the exact same on this Friday from my AD! Except in the 41mm. I've waited for 15 months and it'll be my first Rolex. Hopefully the next one is quicker.
Wheee, congrats! I waited 3 months, got it in July. I love how the dial oftentimes looks grayish / charcoal, making it look dressier or more business conservative (for lack of a better word) but then you see that hint of green every now and then and it’s subtle but beautiful. If it were too green, perhaps it might be too playful for business attire, this does both though. I wear it with shorts too. Coincidentally I am waiting on a root beer and green sub too 🤞🏻
@@kevindo3365 thanks, I’m really happy about it. Still waiting on a GMT and Sub though. The green Sub since it’s release. We shall see how lucky I am there.
Good work and fine photography. I like to see the watch out and about reacting with the play of light. I have the blue jubilee Datejust on order (but who knows?). My AD came up with a Rolex two tone Explorer within a couple of months and I am delighted with it. Purists whine that steel tool watches should not be married with Gold - Really?! This old tool loves it! Based ...on the strength of your review - I now think the mint green might have the edge.
looking to get this piece now. After having collected a few other brands, i think dj is just the most wellrounded watch. Its tough like a sport watch, and dressy and casual enough for any setting. I love dresswatch but i hate to get it wet when watching my hand and most of them are manual wind. Sportwatch is mostly too big and bulky for my liking. Just how much i like it? I already got a two tone datejust from my late dad. But its bit too funny to wear twotone dj with shorts and sandal 😂
Looks great on you… congrats! I’ve had a request in on this config but dj31 for my better half for just under 2 years with an AD we’ve purchased multiple watches from including Rolex. Multiple check ins continue to yield 0 insight and/ or optimism that we’ll ever get one at msrp. Maybe I should request this 36 and she and I could share it :-).
can you describe how strong the sunray/sunburst dial is compared to static color dial? isn't black dial easier to see on a first glance when you are outside?
@@jasonmagruder7008 i actually went to a different AD and on the same day they were able to allocate this for me! So much for a ‘waitlist’. Been enjoying my DJ for a little over a month now 😀
I’m waiting on this exact watch from my AD, though 41mm. I have this watch in 41, it's a different shade of green every time I look at it and on rainy days its slate gray. I am also on a waiting list for a root beer/pepsi(either band) at my local AD.
Great footage thank you for sharing. Great shame rolex ditched the railroad tracks from the dial, except for the roman numeral ones. I don't mind simplicity but this just makes the dial way way way too simple for my taste.

That size fits you - I find 41 mm too sporty. Exceptional quality piece, and the combo is I guess one of the best. Not for me tho. I'm a vintage (1960s sports pieces) lover, so me it's more like scratches, patina, tritium and under the radar !
