  • Ok to correct you 2 degree camber caster issue after lowering vehicle here is the solution i have found.

    Kit includes bushings, lock plates, and press adapter. They provide 2 degree adjustment with bushings, 1 degree with cams, 3 degrees total adjustment available.
    After you install a Belltech lowering component, you should always check your vehicle's alignment. Once lowered, a wheel's camber may become "increasingly negative," meaning that the top of the tire is angled inward. While some "negative" camber aids in improving traction and road adhesion, too much can result in peculiar handling and accelerated tire wear. These alignment kits assist in adjusting a vehicle's camber back to factory specifications.

    Thanks for the video. I have a 13 Yukon with 2/4 drop. Camber was adjusted within specs. The caster was not able to get into specs. The steering wheel feels very light as it goes down the highway. I have the bushings and will have to put them in now.

    How much do you have to grind down for the cams?

  • @MichaelGedies
    @MichaelGedies 3 года назад +1

    Hey man, I just finished installing my 4957 kit, and when I was die grinding out the alignment cam slots on the upper control arm mounts, I was having a lot of trouble. My right angle die grinder is just like yours, and I was using a carbide Burr like you did. Do you know what would cause the tool to keep kicking? Like it would start cutting then all of the sudden kickback hard around the slot. It looks like your cuts were smooth.

    • @DrivenbyGears
      @DrivenbyGears  3 года назад

      Try flipping it around and cut the other direction

    • @MichaelGedies
      @MichaelGedies 3 года назад

      @@DrivenbyGears yeah I tried that. I still think it was user error, but we're you using just a regular steel cutting carbide Burr?
      Do you think the holes being not perfectly elongated, rather they're sort of wallowed at the extension, will be an issue?

    I got IHC 4/6 flip with front Control arms and they did not tell me that I would have a problem with alignment It ended up aligning but it was maxed out with no room it needed a camber kit I never got it three months later to today end it feels like the front end is falling out with lots of play/Floatin now tomorrow I have to order better bushings and the camber kit probably going to get sway bar while I’m at it that should tighten it right up But empty my pocket

      So I figured out the the wheel bearing race from a Silverado 10 bolt axle fits perfectly on the lip that you press on, and allowed me to brute force those joints in, even at an angle lol.
