    BCY 454 and Vec-99 are more stable than 452x, and if you get it from bloodline bowstring fiber, you don't have to wax it at all because of their coating!

    Vapor trail all the way! Just ordered a custom set yesterday at 9 pm, it shipped today by noon. Ran them for years, and after ten or less shots they are settled in and don't move. I will never even consider another string brand. Top notch quality, and the best service in the business, what more could a guy ask for?

    If you're not seeing any stretch or movement then they're making them with force10. It's the standard crossbow string material and we use it at the shop for guys that do a lot of tournament shoots. Keeps them from having to tune their stuff all the time.

    Also, any string brand, or custom string maker, I always go with a solid color, because of the stretch factor of the dyes. Yes Chartreuse and black look awesome, but they do not perform as well as solid chartreuse. Or any other all one color string. I have a guy make mine and he has been making them for a long time at his house, and his strings are better than winners choice to me, and he is the one that talked me into the solid colors, and explained why. His are made in a string making MACHINE that also pre-stretches them.

    After watching this review I finally decided to put some after markets on my Triax (was shooting PSE Brute X before)! I've been shooting the stock zebras since I bought it and it's pushing 3 seasons now so time for new strings and cables! Triax Lost Camo HD riser and limbs, was getting avg 305fps, I'm not a precision archer ( as much as I wish I was ) I'm shooting my Triax with 70lb dw 29" DL and 28.5" arrow length, Carbon Express Badlands 350 spine 100 grain heads *swacker in season* CBE Engage single pin .010 sight and just installed CBE Torx back stab with a 10 Degree front (NEW THIS YEAR FOR ME JUST BOUGHT THEM LAST WEEK SO FAR LOVING THE STABILITY!) Ordered my Gas Ghost XV All WHITE with Black Servings and Black Speed Knocks last week waiting for delivery and install! Also after watching one of your other videos thinking about dropping my kisser and either using the brass ring or even hearing talk about the nose button? Will update my feedback and what I choose for tertiary knock points lol... Love your vids, wish I was trained or could take a few lessons to help me... basically a youtube/friends telling me shooter lol

I have used 1st string before and I was not happy with them. They stretched about 1/4" on me and they just didnt hold up in my book. I had to replace them in a year cause they frayed fast. Ghost is Bcy 454, it’s available in all colors. You are incorrect that that colors expand the the fiber. Different colors in waxed materials will just have more pigment, causing the the overall material to be larger.

    Whats wrong with 60# monofilament? I have bunches of it left over from fishing, and it seems to stretch very little if you don't use the bow. I think the string thing is like most of sporting gear. What was once a large difference between best and worst has narrowed. The best is really a term over used in the US. Sending in bow to custom string maker where they put strings on bow immediately after stretching is one selling point for one make. I think its ridiculous. Pick a quality string that your shop recommends and go with it. My shop Likes Barn Burner Strings, but they are quick to note the often maligned Zebra Strings started the modern era of string building. For me, if the peep keeps lining up, I really don't care. Also GAS has a long wait time right now.

      They're equally as good, I run the camo and haven't seen any movement, which I can't say about any other strings I've run. The 2-3 piece set is for a bow like older Hoyts or single cam's (2-3 strings/ cables). The 4/5 is for bows like the new mathews that have 5 strings/yokes.

    function or not, you dont want to hunt with a bright ass'd white string. best to do what the manufacturer didn't and dye it beige to bring it it closer to camo. I see this everyday and i hate to quote "the principles" but lots of animals can see polarized UV light and ideally you want a bow, string and arrow that reflects the least amount of light rays off the sun. everything about the way light works says white is the last color you'd want your string to be since it reflects back the most amount of light of all colors.
    I haven't seen the first one of this new generation of hunters talk at all about scent and how its best to wash your clothes with specialty hunters soap because stuff like Tide has UV reflective additives and perfume in it to make old clothes look and smell newer. like most millenials, they're always worried about equipment as if equipment made up for skills.
    your +2 bow, +3 arrows and +3 sights will not make up for real huntsman skills.

    • @InsideOutPrecision
      @InsideOutPrecision  4 года назад +3

      Yeah, honestly if an animal is close enough to see the color of your strings its probably too late for them. I know lots of guys that have killed animals using those strings. You're kind of contradicting yourself by saying the color of the steings will spook animals and then saying fancy equipment won't make up for woodsmanship. How may old timers got it done in a plaid shirt and blue jeans that their wife washed with detergent from the grocery store?

    • @InsideOutPrecision
      @InsideOutPrecision  4 года назад +1

      And the reason you don't hear people taking about not washing clothes with Tide is because its pretty much basic common knowledge at this point, so it doesn't need to be talked about

      @@MikeyWoomer yeah the key with ABB is choosing the right material. Most guy go with BCY-X or 452x, but the ones I've installed still have a pretty decent amount of stretch. The ghost strings are a proprietary blend and they truly don't move. They're the only string I've come across ( and I've coke across A LOT) that don't move.
