- Giovanni Battista Draghi (Italian: [dʒoˈvanni batˈtista ˈdraːɡi]; 4 January 1710 - 16 or 17 March 1736), often referred to as Giovanni Battista Pergolesi (Italian: [perɡoˈleːzi; -eːsi]), was an Italian Baroque composer, violinist and organist. His best-known works include his Stabat Mater and the opera La Serva padrona (The Maid Turned Mistress). His compositions include operas and sacred music. He died of tuberculosis at the age of 26.

Primož... I have just now, for the first time this week, and over a glass of decent red wine, been able to listen to this lovely performance multiple times and Really concentrate on it. And I cannot find adequate words to describe the beauty that I hear and see with Ernestina's beautiful singing, and with this entire performance. There are probably better words in Slovene. And the musicians from the Slovenian National Symphony are, of course, superb. Are any of them your former students of graduates of Gimnazija Kranj and your orchestra, by any chance?

Beautiful music. Beautiful voice. I much enjoyed it. But there is no way that this was composed by Pergolesi. Simply not good enough. That is not how Pergolesi composed music. 90% of what is attributed to Pergolesi is not by him. Pergolesi is the greatest composer who ever lived. But again, just listen to this. @@SamuraiSx19 I translated into English (in C C subtitles) from words written by Jože Humer (1936-2012) and sung here by Ernestina. He was a famous Slovene composer and lyricist. He was awarded the Order of Merit of Slovenija for his musical achievements and other significant contributions to Slovene culture and law. Although he is also famous as a translator into Slovene from other languages, the Slovene words here may be his own words set to music by Giovanni Pergolesi. I don't know and I have no intention of investigating further. You can if you want to. I have given you a lead. Alternatively, let us enjoy the simple words that we have here made scintillating by the magical Ernestina..
